    Excellent overview and introduction of some great short cuts. Took a few tries to get the HUD call up straightened out in my mind. Interesting that there is a significant difference between Mac & Win (Left vs Right click) Very helpful Thank you Steve

    4:37 ➡️ In my Photoshop 2021 the HUD does for some unknown reason no longer show up in that red color. I changed nothing. Except maybe clicking something accidentally I never have been aware of. Catalina 10.15.7, latest 2021 by today, Nov 24th 2020. Restarted Ps, rebooted Mac, nothing helps. Beefy MBP 16, 64 GB RAM, 8 GB VRAM

    Sorry but I do not know how to ask you a question so I'm trying it here. New to Ps. Having trouble understanding the correct procedure on how to get my photo(s) into Ps and when I 'Save As", where do the saved images go? Are there videos that cover this "Basic of Basics" information? Thank you in advance for your help, Rick

    is there ant way to select a brush stroke that has already been made if you want to adjust it or move it or something along those lines. But just one stroke or a few and not the whole layer?

    • @PhotoshopEssentialsChannel
      @PhotoshopEssentialsChannel  4 года назад +1

      Brush strokes are made of pixels, just like a photo, so there's no special way to select or adjust them. But you can always press Ctrl+Z (Win) / Command+Z (Mac) to undo your last stroke if you made a mistake.

      @@PhotoshopEssentialsChannel well i was hopeing to make an enital scech and then changit to the way i wanted. like for example I was outlining or tracing a face and then I was going to re-position parts of the face. like say move the eyes around a little bit till it fit the form I wanted. Is there anyway to do this now that I have strokes laid out?

    • @cchemmes-seeseeart3948
      @cchemmes-seeseeart3948 2 года назад +1

      @@TomisaLami For your drawing method, you have several options. 1. You could make your initial drawing using the curvature pen tool/ paths, & then edit the path easily with direct selection tool or curvature pen tool. 2. Or, if you want to use the brush tool/ pixels, you could use a folder (name it 'face') & add new layers (e.g. 'eye,' 'mouth' etc) in layers panel, as you draw each part, so each is on a separate layer that can be slid around; & then flatten all those layers when complete for one 'face' layer. OR, In PS, you can always create a selection of ANY existing pixels in any image that already exists, (with selection tools or the pens tools- draw path > create selection); & then manipulate that selection of pixels: such as use transform (ctrl T) on it, or move that selection to a new spot by dragging. You edit groups of pixels in PS, not objects, (unless you have drawn vector paths or shapes with the pen tools).

    Is there a shortcut for opacity?? I use that A LOT and I would love if I didn't have to go to the options bar every time!

    • @PhotoshopEssentialsChannel
      @PhotoshopEssentialsChannel  3 года назад +2

      To change the opacity for a brush, just press a number on your keyboard. Press 1 for 10%, 2 for 20% and so on. Press two numbers quickly, like 2 and then 5, for 25%. Press 0 for 100%. Hold Shift while pressing a number to change the Flow value. Hope that helps!

      @@PhotoshopEssentialsChannel Cool thanks! I'll try it. Before viewing this video I did know a lot of the shortcuts. I didn't actually know the legitimate ways to do things without the shortcuts! lol
