Hello fellow Overlanders! We have noticed a small error in the kg to lbs conversion of the Gen 3-R specs. The Gen 3-R weighs 76kgs, which is 167.5lbs.

I wish this had the power and HVAC capability the 3r has.. having to spend 2k more just for those options is crazy… wonder if it’s worth modifying??
The Gen 3-R and LT-50 are built for different purposes. While both RTTs, the Gen 3-R serves the more rugged, long-haul camper that needs the extra features. The LT-50 is the lightweight tent for the weekender or that quick escape. Please also note, that any drilling, cutting, riveting modifications that will alter the tent will void your warranty.
@@alu_cab I figured as much. I’d definitely be tapping the pros at @ok4wd here in NJ for anything I decide on regardless.
I like the LT 50 and would like to look at one when they arrive in Canada, but not adding attachment hardware and a ladder in the standard price is a major failing and sets you apart in a very negative way from most RTT manufacturers.

@@gameu48709625 Doesn't appear to be when I look at distributor in Canada the ladder must be purchased separately and the attachment hardware ($8 worth of hardware for $125 CAD). I think the Gen 3-R comes with a ladder but not the LT 50???? In point of fact you have to spend $125 for mounting hardware, $150 for ladder extension, $450 for the mounting plate (to store the ladder) and $295 for the ladder itself.. So $1020 extra dollars just to have it fit for use??
@@andrewgiblin3468 Hi Andrew, thank you for your feedback! Because of the array of vehicles, the LT-50 specifically can be mounted to, smaller SUVs to pickup trucks, it leads to varying vehicle heights. We decided to give the customer the choice between what works best for their vehicle, the 2M or 2.6M ladder. That is why the ladder is not included with the LT-50.
The Ladder Extension Bracket is also not a required bracket, and it is vehicle dependent.

Hi there! This is something we are looking into, but not a confirmed future feature at this stage.
Can the Gen 3-R be put in a 3 Door Jimny?
No, we would not advise fitting a Gen 3-R to the Jimny.
