@@joeldullroy Yes, Venezuela 85%, Brazil 5%, Guyana 10%. Technically, all land west of the Essequibo river belongs to Venezuela, not to Guyana. This land was stolen to Venezuela by Britain and the judgment to reach a solution in the late 1800's was made by an all British group of judges, and some Russian and American guys. No Venezuela reps or attorneys were present during the verdict. This is a total shame.
Great video. How do I join your team ? I do travel videos and can definitely see myself being part of your amazing mission to inspire others and explore this world.
Wrong. It is not the highest table top montain of the guiana shield. It is Marahuaka in Venezuelan amazonia, 2832 m. Roraima, most of it Venezuelan, and a little part in Brazil is 2810 m.
How stupid to say that Venezuela claims Roraima, as if it were under discussion, it is like saying that Germany is fighting for Berlin or the US is claiming New York... what need does an international media have to misrepresent the borders, all the accesses to Roraima start from Venezuela, Brazil owns a small portion of less than 5% on an incommunicado side and Guyana wants 10% to be recognized but is in territorial dispute. It is a Venezuelan symbol. It is a venezuelan symbol and we venezuelans people are the ones who take care of it, it is a Venezuelan National Park.
Because we were relaxed, they want to take away the Essequibo, in terms of territorial sovereignty one cannot be relaxed, all the time alert, if these Germans question the sovereignty of Venezuela over Roraima, they must be denounced immediately.
Roraima is the name of the brazilian state. This mountain is in the border between Brazil and Venezuela. If he called it Roraima, because he had crossed the border and was already in Brazil. I believe you should study before despairing over things you don't understand.
Petrified tree stub you mean…. “Once, there were giants, we were like grasshoppers to them.” There are many giant petrified tree stubs across the world. And other giant petrifications. Believe what you wil.
Is it possible to do it without the guides, or is that something you have to spend money on along with the visitor fee? 60 kms... not very difficult considering people are walking in crocks. Probably, doable in 3 days.
You EU and UK travelers are lucky. Political realities are causing some of us in the US to put off travel to Venezuela. This has to be #1 on my bucket list, though.

FOR THE SAKE OF UNDERSTANDING HISTORICAL FACTS BETTER: In the 17-18th British consciously invaded the territory on the left of the Esequibo River ( the agreed point of separation between British Territories and Spanish Territories) From that point all the mess created by the British started. The invaded a territory that was not theirs, in the hope of wanting its many riches and the expansionist view of the World. GUYANA became independent from the Brits in the 60s, on a territory that until to day is mainly based in lawfully taken land from both Venezuela (Esequibo area, including Mount Roraima) and Suriname (Tigri Region).
What I want to know is how the Punto Triple was chosen as the place for the border. Why there exactly? It's in such a strange location on the mountain. If anyone has historical facts about how the map was drawn, please let me know!
The border dispute is yet to be resolved. The International Court of Justice is considering a case brought by Guyana. Venezuela does not recognize the court case and wants a resolution out of court involving Great Britain. It is interesting that the British drew their map with an anchor point right on top of Roraima. They clearly considered the mountain to be of great value!
The Venezuelan people do not support those corrupt and greedy people, we only want the historical justice that we deserve and that you also deserve, no one in Venezuela wants things to go badly for them, we want them to respect the history of our country, not a war, greetings.

Isn't this the exact location from the UP movie?

A deeper exploration of the caves, if any, might be informative. It's surprising there are no native mammals.
