I agree. Every failure is another step closer to success and we learn more from each failure.

Love the topic , and I really needed to hear this , I made straight As through school and I did not like failing , making an F in school was not for me , but I was obsessed with school , during the school year I was doing all of my homework and I had my weekends and my summer to fish and I was obsessed with fishing too big time , every weekend my dad took me fishing with him from about the age of 5 to 6 , and all I wanted was to become a PRO and fish the BASS circuit but when I loss my mom right after my high school diploma I was lost , my mom was my everything , my entire world was shattered completely and for a while I went off my rails , loss hurts me more than anything , thanks for all your words and wisdom Mr Randy

The one thing worse than failure is betrayal. Both take a great deal of maturity to overcome.

Sometimes it’s not failure in fishing, or anything competitive , it’s just someone was better than us on that day. Next time, it may be one of us. Prepare as best you can, give it 100%, then it’s not a failure. It’s not pleasant for sure, I’ve got a phd in not finishing first, or in the top 10 for that matter, but looking back, the ride was great.
From an old fart, give it your best, and enjoy the ride. It only comes around once.

It’s simple, allow Yourself to fail sometimes. No one gets it right 100% of the time. Admit if you’re wrong, ask for assistance if needed it’s ok to ask for help.

I use to get mad about things when I was younger, now I don’t get mad and I stay calm because the Lord Jesus Christ has taught me this, getting mad just makes you fell bad, Jesus said to be slow to anger, so I took this advice and now there is only a touch of getting upset or nothing at all.

Failure is only bad if you don't learn from it.

If you’re going to tournament fish you’re going to be dealing with failure a lot, lol.

Make mistakes if you truley want to figure out how it works, then you know inside and out what to do. If you dont mess up then you speak from lack of experience. IMO

One failure that many continue to repeat is the sale, commercialization and use of toxic Lead in fishing tackle. Bass fishermen (in general) are high on the list here, as many trout fishermen and waterfowlers have long ago parted ways with this unsustainable practice. Rather than engaging in back-and-forths with your Christian viewers about true kindness, could you share with us the kindness you express when you to sell, sponsor, use and profit from the mining of toxic Lead for fishing tackle? Can you assure us that this is not the definition of failure … yielding to what you know isn’t right to achieve a meaningless end? Is this a kind practice? It would be nice to have a first hand account of your own response to this failure so as to compare it to your words of wisdom herein on how to address failure. Personally, I find that recognizing failure is the first step. Are you there yet? The second step is stopping. Any plans there? Thanks, Randy.
