Hey everyone, just to clear up any confusion the "kingfish" is what we call a Yellowtail Kingfish(Seriola lalandi) here in Australia. Also know as a Yellowtail Amberjack elsewhere. Hope you enjoy the video and thanks for watching 🤙🏽
My cold, leftover sausages and tom sauce just cannot compare to the little luxuries you create! Well done again. Loved it. What an amazing coastline we are blessed with. Thanks Gido.
Damn, that's so many big fish so close to shore. You make it look easy man. When I try to cast big from our rocks and ledges, I almost get swept away by the large waves, still catch nothing and also lose my trace whilst getting snagged in the rocks.
Great videos guy! I am in a office right now dieng to live the life you live on the beach, you inspire me everyday and keep reminding me why I can never forget fishing, big shout out from South africa
Beautiful place, you videos are noto only fishing video, they are special, are a mix of adavetnure, adrenaline and fish.. Noce video bro, SALUTI FROM ITALY!
Love how you bring all the makings for the fish wraps! That's slick! Definitely gonna pack me up some fixins like that for my next catch and cook trip! Thanks for sharing!
This video just relaxes me, this is a beautiful country compare to all the stuff that is happening in other countries it really make me feel blessed. The food you prepare is just amazing. Thanks for these video's you upload.
Youll be allright mate most of the prophets died poor from prophet Adam (as) to prophet Mohammad (saw) your life is written before you are born, keep praying . : )
I love fish tacos. I lived in Acapulco for a year when I was in my 20s. Did a lot of scuba diving. We, friends and I would take our spearguns and catch our supper. The ladies at a little tacoria, Dow the street from the dive shop would cook our fish for us, and we always had fish tacos.
I got a tell you !!! U are amazing, every video you make me wow more !!! especially these less fortunate times, lights up the mind.... keep up what your doing all the very best Gido
Great video! Everything has been turned on it's head with the Covid-19 crisis and we are lucky we can still get out and do what we love. Strange, your Western rock blackfish look just like the Eastern rock blackfish I love to catch and eat in the Wollongong region. Would be great to see a future video from you on filleting, preparing the wings of a big fish and knife care - steeling, stropping, honing on whetstones etc. Knives are my other passion and are often neglected by good anglers but a sharp well-maintained blade is a pleasure to use!
A well sharpened knife is so nice, unfortunately I neglect mine a bit and filleting on the rocks doesn’t help. Normally I give it a good sharpen up after a few outings
@@gidosfishingadventures Victory knives New Zealand have a compact rabbiter's steel (they're made by a cutler who emigrated to NZ from Sheffield, England) that would fit in your pack and is good for in the field for re-aligning your blade while your filleting. Also, you're handy with your hands and could easily make a compact and light weight paddle strop. These two items would have you sorted in the field and keep your knife razor sharp. Size wise they would be very compact and wouldn't weigh you down.
Cool man. Very cool. My dream to live near the ocean and catch my lunch or dinner for my family. Wisconsin has no salt water Hehehehehe just Lake Michigan if you have a friend with a nice sized boat to take the salmon or trout
Then suddenly i have this interest on Fishing.. You have great video, location. This kind of a video become my stress reliever. You deserves a million subscribers by the way 😀
Thanks Giddo. That’s a bit more relaxing. Would have been good to explain the slide bait set up. Anyway, you got lucky finding that fire wood! Love the West.
Crazy how close some big Kings come to the rocks. I have seen meter kings from my Kayak right against the shore here in Sydney. Great spot to spend the night wherever that is. Great vid also. Subscribed.
I am an anglar and do such stuff in summers every year in Kashmir India we have beautiful trout streams here and do fly fishing catch cook and eat... It is just chilling
best fishing show on RUclips hands down..you are crazy mate! Id love to give this a go, I use 12 ft OH rods with 9000J and 7000cl reels, also Saltiga spin and Saltists. I am also an arborist...maybe I should get some blocks and wedges!
Wow! I really enjoy your videos. I little too old for Billie goat stuff but would love to come to Australia to fish from the surf or a little less challenging rock spot. I think your Kingfish is our Yellowtail in the USA. They are great Sushi 👌🏾😀
Hey Gido 👍 love the beautiful location so epic 🤙 Hope things going well with you and the family surprisingly this virus on the rise again stay safe bro 👍😉
Im so interested for ur all videos it makes me relax cuz actually i like adventure and apart from that my hobby is fishing .im here always brother to support ur videos and i hope u will upload it day by day hehe 😁😁 goodluck .GODBLESS 😇
Nice one, I'm pretty much directly opposite you on the other side of oz , far south coast nsw. Keep up the great vids, we have some great fishing here too.
I'm having a theory here. The Herring was slide rigged and whenever it was that the Kingfish picked up the bait, it found little resistance, so it remained calm. If I pull hard on a fresh hooked gamefish, they usually go crazy, fighting hard. Great outing!! Cheers!
You are a awesome man 😎 Enjoying your lockdown days 🤪 I am from India Kerala ( Kottayam) no enjoyment nothing simply watching your videos .. one day I will go some isolated places like this 😍 any way thnx mate tc good luck for your Hunt 😍
I'm...uh...hooked on your videos. I'm a Yank typically fishing Rocky Mountain rivers for trout. But I love the sea and pretty much all things Aussie. Great videos, great fishing. I'm only confused on one point: How does one fella become a gifted videographer, rock-climber, fisherman, backwoods chef, and adventurer in so few years? And thanks for adding the scientific names for fish. Here's to ya!
Nice one mate, new subscriber here. I've caught my first 68cm fingermark on live mullet off the rocks. You'd be amazed what you can catch just using live bait.
