This once beautiful home, breaks my heart 💔 I hate what vandals do to a gorgeous, once loved home😞 Definitely from at least the 70s era! The toilet paper holder, curtains, appliances & several other tell tale signs! The fake, wall paper tile, was a part of that time frame as well!!! Loved your new camera equipment! The quality was very nice! Glad that your dad has a voice🤣 Nice to hear him adding his wisdom! He could even talk more…love to hear him converse with you 👍 I think that if this house would have had a good roof on it, we wouldn’t have seen the ceilings damaged the way that they were! My favorite part of this house was the downstairs fireplace wall!!! Gorgeous!!! The kitchen cabinets were an upgrade as well! If this house would have been kept up, it would just needed to be updated to be comfortable again! The camper could have been taken to a homeless encampment & been used by a person! You have sooo very much growth of vegetation, it must be very moist there! If you were walking in this much vegetation in the US, you’d have had to watch for snakes😳🥺😢 The moisture & vegetation brings bugs & spiders, hence the cobwebs…yuck👎😳😰🥺 Noah, always enjoy your videos & commentary! Love you 😍❤️💕
Something about seeing these properties in this condition. It Makes me sad and happy at the same time. Thinking of all the memories that they may have shared. And wondering what happened to them. It's too bad that these houses can't tell their history. And why can't people respect what is not theirs. Just look at all that destruction.
Hi Noah! My husband and I live in this town. We know the full story behind it and have been in contact with the original owners granddaughter over the years. It has a very sad backstory and I won't be able to share the details online but just know it wasn't abandoned by it's original owners. The last time someone was living there was 2012. It is currently owned by a person however not the town.
There's something so soothing about your intro and the intro music. I like the newer episodes with more backstory given, but I miss these intros with the music and all the clips of previous explores.
I think all the switches worked, but the bulbs in some were burned out. That’s why the fan ran but the lights weren’t on. Strange that they left power on and the sump pump running in a house with big holes in the roof. I wonder if they died in an accident and the things left were just what the family didn’t want. It almost seemed like they may have had someone staying there for a while afterwards. I stayed in a house for a few weeks looking after some pets when a friend of the family died. She had gone on a vacation and I was pet/house sitting for her and died in a car accident accident along the way. The family came and took most of the furniture and stuff away and only left the bare necessities for me while they found homes for the pets and settled the estate. The estate on that house could still be in limbo in the courts.
Not that it matters too much, but this house SCREAMS early to mid 1970s for me. Just the style of the house and everything inside reminds me exactly of my grandma's house which hasn't been remodeled since it was built in 1972. I absolutely adore that 1970s style, especially that kitchen and the classic stone floor to ceiling fireplace in the basement, you really can't get more 1970s than this house! Such an absolute shame kids had to ruin everything....
Can't believe how much this series has changed since I first started watching just a few years ago in terms of quality, drone footage, etc. So so happy to get to watch these videos. Thank you for all your hard work. 😊
This was one webby house. Never seen them so thick. Crazy. Too bad it's like this. Makes me wonder why it was abandoned. Thanks for sharing and stay safe.
Love the videos Noah and the sidelight glass at the front entryway is actually glass, Diamond amber lozenge it was called. Very popular in the 60’s and 70’s. Keep the videos coming
Not the 1960s. The 1970s. They had coloured fixtures in the 60s too, but the gold plexiglass by the front door, the patterned carpet in the basement, the bar in the basement all point to the 1970s. You're right that the cabinet on top of the toilet (such a good idea; why don't we have that anymore?) was an idea that started in the 60s, but the style of this one is 1970s for sure.
@@keithlincoln5109 Yes, looks like an early to mid 70s house, maybe even a bit newer. At first I thought it might have been from the 60s, unless it had a renovation later, but still lots of cool retro fixtures and finishings. I'd love to find a house like this, that's not abandoned and decaying. All of the 1950s to 1970s houses I see have been "remodeled" or "updated" either by new homeowners or house flippers. Not too many left in original condition. Maybe some of the goodies can be salvaged. I think that house is too far gone to save.
Loving the new equipment, made for another great video. My hypothesis about the house, the very elderly occupants died and their Batchelor son inherited the house and was coming back to take care of it from time to time, hence the workshop and garden stuff and the grubby overalls, but not much else left behind. Maybe he grew up in the house so he was sentimental about keeping it. Perhaps he fell though the windows while trying to fix that skylight hole, off that dodgy wheeled scaffold. It could have been his dog dead in the wardrobe, having crapped all over the other room. And anyone finding the son’s body after he died falling off the scaffold may not have known about the poor dog.
That's a possibility. Definitely looks like elderly owners had the house, probably since it was new, and passed away or went into a long term care home or passed away. If that was their pet dog, it probably died of starvation. Poor thing. Maybe their child/children lived way out of town, and it wasn't convenient to come to check on the house, but they're still paying the electric bill, thinking the house is in better shape and want to keep the heat on so the pipes don't freeze. Can't think of any other reason the electricity would still be on all these years later. At this point, it's a fire waiting to happen.
It’s sad to see a place like this and everything these people had just destroyed.. I bet some very genuine elderly people lived there and maybe unfortunately got ill and never got to come back home and had no kids who cared enough to take over the property for them. I bet that Buick too is basically brand new/was anyway, sad to see that just ruined too. I appreciate the respect you have for these places.
That power still on after so long seems to be a Canadian thing. See it all the time in these videos. Down here in the states they’d cut it off in 60 days unless someone was paying. So strange. And a dry pump will burn up. This one sounds awful. Drives me crazy but doesn’t seem to be a good logic. Nice video btw. Loved the butterfly wallpaper. Pretty sure this was 70s house. Nice to see you Noah. ❤️
Your channel deserves so many more likes, subscribers and comments you do an amazing job with the camera. You never fail to disappoint with your videos. Poor dog, someone locked it in the closet and left it to die should turn the switch off so the home doesn't have power anynore. It has power because Bill is so cheap they aren't using too much so Bill isn't high enough for company to notice
I'm just going to say it's a miracle that place hasn't burnt to the ground. That's a sand point well pump and I assume it's running dry by the sound it was making and that no faucets had a drip coming from them even though they have the hard water stains from dripping. Next is the florescent light in the mans room in the basement when they are glowing like that due to bad bulbs the ballasts gets extremely hot. As for the lights not working I think the circuits were fine but the kids that wrecked everything either left all the lights on and they finally burnt out or since the power is on completing the circuit the house was struck by lightning and it burnt out the bulbs for the lights. Its. Crazy because you know somebody is paying the electric bill. I would've done the right thing and just turned the main brraket off
Boggles the mind that the property has been abandoned for so long but somehow the local power utility has not (or cannot) cut the power. Who is paying the monthly bill? That motorhome probably hasn't been used since the early 1990s. I wonder what happened to this family! What a mystery. I thought it was odd only some of the rooms still have electricity. The new equipment improves your already fantastic videos! Thanks for touring us through this fascinating property!
My parents used to live out in Northumberland County just north of Coburg in the late 90's/early 2000's. Always struck me as sort of a sad area and saw a few abandoned houses out there. Too bad to see a whole place with contents get left behind - just forgotten. And sickening to see what vandals do to property that isn't theirs to destroy.
I think the car in the garage was likely dumped there as the house has been abandoned for a long time. A great pity that the place had so much vandalism. Is there any way you could check the property records to find out who owns the house?
Well, it's a silver Buick, a popular car for seniors, maybe a late 1990s model with low mileage. It's probably been parked there all this time and was still a decent car until the vandals got to it.
I have never seen SO MANY cobwebs!!! This was a nice house in it's day. Such a shame people can vandalize what was once someone's home. Loved the video!!
Something I found strange, the car the tires are not flat the battery was still in it even though it was tagged and windows smashed. Also the camper, the tires didn’t appear to be flat and the damage was only at the front, the rest of it looks really good, what was the sticker on the camper. The lightbulbs they are in the process of burning out, if a house has power it has power, unless fuses are bad or pulled or breakers are off, that just the way Power Works.
When "stuff" is left behind and still in a spot that makes sense and isn't staged it makes me think who ever lived there last left on very unhappy or unfortunate circumstances either way didn't seem to be planning on leavening or dyeing
Pretty cool. Can tell that hose was pretty cool before it fell apart. I’d love to find a house like that in good condition. I’d leave everything as is and move in 🤣
Those cobwebs are horrendous! Looks like a single man was the last resident, no feminine clothing or items left. No real signs of children either. I'm guessing the gentleman either died or went to jail. Sad about the dog in the closet, looks like he was left behind and forgotten. Great quality video Noah, Thanks
Ref the "automatic" dishwasher, I remember with the other option you had to roll them out and connect the hoses in the back to the sink faucet, then run it, and put it all back again. Obviously the sink was out of commission while the dishwasher was running.
Lol I feel attacked age wise when you mentioned how "old" the computer stuff was lol 😂 new to your page and I love your stuff. I want to go explore places. I live in Colorado Springs.
I love mid century homes! Most of them have been "remuddled" and "updated" or "modernized" - this house did not have much of that. It's a shame it's gotten so deteriorated, probably too far gone to save, unless it's in an area with insane real estate prices and it's priced right, like close to the value of the land. Someone would have to gut the house, and hopefully save some of the cool mid century decor. Looks like an elderly couple lived there, maybe even bought the house when it was new, and then passed away and any family members lived far away and still settling the estate or gave up on it. It was probably a very nice house back in the day.
I bet that was a young couple that lived there, from the games for kids, the Copperfield tanning lotion etc. I bet it was a beauty at one time, still wish someone would kick the breakers, or call the electric company and get the electric off before it burns 🔥down
Finally got to watch it from the beginning. Video quality looks great. I got a kick out of your dad when he directed you to the dead animal. That was funny
This home was definitely under renovation when whatever happened - happened hence the plastic with the painters tape going from the kitchen area into the dining/living room as well as the scaffolding. The dead animal is a mystery for sure. A cat or some other wild animal would make sense, how many believe it to be a dog (I personally couldn't tell). Motorhome doesn't surprise me, many people leave those to just sit and rot (at least here in US). Very possible whomever was in the process of renovating could have been sleeping in the motorhome and parked their car in the garage as well. The power, if they're planning on demolition soon it could have recently been turned on to use during demolition. We've had cases like that we've worked on.
What I don't understand is.... how is there still power in this house? In the US if you don't pay your electric bill the utility company shuts off service to the house. Is that different in Canada?
An out of town or out of country son/daughter is probably paying the electric bill thinking the house is still in good condition but hasn't been there in years, or since their parents were alive.
My guess is the owner ended up in a care facility and the property is in a trust, that’s why the power is still on, a trust not managed well, do them a favor and turn off all the breakers in the electric box, house also has electric baseboard heat some of those thermostats could be on.
I have a suggestion for your video intro. Perhaps add a video effect to the old clip recaps in the beginning that will differentiate it from the footage in the current video. Maybe an old footage effect or something.
the glass mirrors with the gold pattern was 70's == i had some in my house Too bad this house is soooo destroyed between the damage & mold Noah did you ever want to buy one of these houses ?? Debbie
The dog poop all over the bedroom tells me that the dog got closed in the house, found some food, ate it all and ended up going in the closet to die by starvation.
The pump running would freak me more than that fan . Someone must still pay the power bill . Power company would have cut the power without pay . Interesting
So literally 1000’s of houses all over the world were abandoned in the global financial credit crisis of 2008 and 2009. Cause they couldn’t pay their mortgages. It was Much more so in the U.S with ppl (mortgagees) being permitted to just hand the house keys into the bank. And run. Most of them didn’t have time or money for removalists. And faced living from then on in their car. During these house repossessions, some big attempts were made by companies hired to ‘clean out’ the houses. To save photo + important documents at least. It didn’t happen in all cases. Some houses never got emptied or re-sold by the banks. And some of those homes the banks were unable to re-sell are I think some of the houses in these videos, they are the repossessed houses from that financial crash. People HAD to walk away with nothing.
decorum is fromt the sixties/thereabouts/maybe fifties. Reminds me of my dads house but he didn't have anything worth keeping except a Frank Lloyd Right designed chair I used to love... what a chair...

It's always cool to see!
Great video Noah Nature is slowly creeping up and taking over this place
I wonder what happened to this family! What a mystery. I thought it was odd only some of the rooms still have electricity. The new equipment improves your already fantastic videos! Thanks for touring us through this fascinating property!
I'm also curious what happen to them! I'm glad you're enjoying the new improvements! Thanks for watching
Same here been so curious about this whole story. Hi Lauren how are you doing with your family I hope you’re safe from the virus?
This was such a beautiful home it's a shame to see it so tore up just because someone wasn't mature enough to control the destructive child in them
Thanks Noah, great new equipment. you didn't spill your kofi, Tory & Vanessa
Thanks guys! Definitely put all the coffee money to good use haha
Really makes you wonder what happened to these families and where they went!
It sure does! Unfortunately I couldn't find anything about them
Dear Noah. Enjoy your videos. Would like to note though that not all vandals are kids.
Great video! Thanks for the share! :)
Noah, please stay safe!!!
another good video, keep them coming
Subscribed. I am subscribed to alot of RUclips explorers. I think this is going to be a big channel in the next year. Keep it up
Thanks so much for subscribing! I guess we'll see what this year brings!
Coolest explorer I have seen in a long time
Thank you
No thank you 😊
I have never seen SO MANY cobwebs!!! This was a nice house in it's day. Such a shame people can vandalize what was once someone's home. Loved the video!!
Great job on your videos i love abandoned places in the history behind them keep up the great work and stay safe
The rooster is happy with the video too :D
Hey so so very cool almost 50K congratulations! Luv&Peace Cheers!
Hey thanks! We sure are getting close too 50k
38K km on that motor, someone would pay a couple dollars for it
Maybe as long as it's not seized up
When "stuff" is left behind and still in a spot that makes sense and isn't staged it makes me think who ever lived there last left on very unhappy or unfortunate circumstances either way didn't seem to be planning on leavening or dyeing
Stunning footage
Thanks for upgrading
Best of luck to you.
I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
@@NoahNowhere always :)
Stunning yard in its day:)
Pretty cool. Can tell that hose was pretty cool before it fell apart. I’d love to find a house like that in good condition. I’d leave everything as is and move in 🤣
I like the interjection of the Canadian accent. Hose = House 😆
Ya I'm not a huge fan of the cobwebs, that's for sure! It's possible that it was was a single man. I'm glad you enjoyed!
Excellent video! That was once a very nice home, can only wonder what happened to the owners.
I'm glad you enjoyed! It definitely was a great home at one time!
Ref the "automatic" dishwasher, I remember with the other option you had to roll them out and connect the hoses in the back to the sink faucet, then run it, and put it all back again. Obviously the sink was out of commission while the dishwasher was running.
Great video, loved that explore..than you
Hi Noah and Dad!! Loved the explore! The camera and drone work is top notch 👌. Great job 👍😊
Great video Noah!!! 🔥
Thanks Jake!
The camper calendar says 1992 and you say even the pillows are retro. Lol
The hardware on kitchen cupboards is awesome
That would make one creepy haunted house. No decorating necessary. Nothing beats real cobwebs 🕸🧟♂️🧟♀️🎃👻💀☠️
Very spooky house! Be safe out there Noah! 🥰🥰🥰
That pump sounded like it's been dry awhile. I don't think they supposed to be that loud. Anyway excellent video.
Wow what a great find.
Thanks! It's a cool one for sure!
Fantastic video !
Awesome video editing 👍 very professional
We had the same bird thing hanging over the bathroom… wow…
So sad. Obviously someone loved at one time & was a nice home. Strange to still have power on. Wonder who pays power bill?
The house was abandoned in 2003 (date on newspaper) but the car's registration is dated 2010? 🤔
Perfect stash spot for a stolen car used to make drug runs or thefts
love the wall paper and tyles and the fridge oh and the tv! To the carpet wonder what happened to the people...powers on?.
Glad again to see your dad,,,,,safer that way
Was a nice home. 🙏😘🏡
I bet that was a young couple that lived there, from the games for kids, the Copperfield tanning lotion etc. I bet it was a beauty at one time, still wish someone would kick the breakers, or call the electric company and get the electric off before it burns 🔥down
How sad that poor helpless animal died in that terrible place no food no water and could not get out...very sad
That's a well pump you should turn it off so it doesn't burn out. Also perhaps the light bulbs are burnt out!?!?
So sad to see what would have been someone's home vandlies like that
Interesting old place.
That was a nice house! It seems strange that it just sits alone....
I think that was a cat or wild animal
What I don't understand is.... how is there still power in this house? In the US if you don't pay your electric bill the utility company shuts off service to the house. Is that different in Canada?
An out of town or out of country son/daughter is probably paying the electric bill thinking the house is still in good condition but hasn't been there in years, or since their parents were alive.
I wish I had that car, even the camper As a rebuild. Such waste!
The bike looks old .collectors would love that
My guess is the owner ended up in a care facility and the property is in a trust, that’s why the power is still on, a trust not managed well, do them a favor and turn off all the breakers in the electric box, house also has electric baseboard heat some of those thermostats could be on.
I comment on your Instagram page you are the best person ever on RUclips Noah
Thanks so much man! You're too kinda
I have the same gold peacocks that were on the wall in the bar area. Fridge is from 1950s or 60s. Had one like it at a prior job.
The pump running would freak me more than that fan . Someone must still pay the power bill . Power company would have cut the power without pay . Interesting
Noah: This looks super mid century…
Me: Corndog statue.
I want that motorhome where this located what a waste 😫 such a beautiful motorhome.
Hi, mal was anderes. Coole Idee. Ich lasse mal ein Abo da und freue mich aufs nächste Video. Grüße Graf Herrenhausen
