There is no "Type 18 made in england", stanley only started making planes in england in the 1930s and the american type studies do not apply at all to english made planes.
@@SlabKingCollectibles I recently came acroost a collection of over 100 hand planes 90+ are Stanley's No #1 or 2 but multiples of old 3,4,56 And new Stanley number 1's There was 6 of them made in England. I knew USA Stanley's and Bentley's I see no difference in ether plane. There where some really old 5 and 6 with out the Stanley name on them. Another Plus in the collection was the extra blades. I had my pick, and I picked the Made England's. I have the USA of the numbers already. There was 18 wood body mold planes included in the collection. All in good to fair shape over all with all Sharp and ready to go. The guy liked sharping the blades There where a large number of stones as well. Not one broken wooden part also in the collection.

We know what it means. The American type 18 plane made in England.
Am I to assume this is to be placed on a mantle for admiration and not to be utilized as a tool?
Looks better than the day it left the factory.
Thank you my friend
Ananda Rhonda kicking what are you talking about here today
Wow, that will probably cost a LOT more than the $5 that I paid for mine. Yours looks a bit better too.
I think I sold this one for around $140
This was a $10 plane in the beginning
