I've got the Factory Team B4 and keep toying with the idea of sticking it on eBay, but it's such a lovely bit of kit I can't bring myself to do it. Likewise a Factory Team TC4. Both awesome bits of engineering and despite weekly use racing (indoor) are in almost mint condition. Again, another testament to the durability of Team Associated kit.
I found two if these recently. One was assembled beautifully & the second is a sealed box. The man I bought them from said he bought them for him & his son, he built the first one and very soon after, his son lost interest and got into dirtbikes with friends.. LUCKY ME! The man went on to say that he was sling just about everything in the house and moving to Hawaii. He gave me both with a decent amount of spare parts and two Futaba transmitters for the lofty sum of $100.00 👍🏻
Yep, these are just lovely vintage cars but the amount of back stories and changes made to them back in the day, make for interesting discovery and reading.
Thats a sweet find Gav, ive had 2 RC10’s both worlds cars, as i race them i moved them on as i want an earlyer one to use in the 89-93 class. Next year i’ll hopefully get one out on the track 😎
It’s very nice Gavin. Lovely example, I bet a lot of these have seen some fair use. Finding one that nice is very good. Loving the paint scheme as well.
Thanks 👍 Yep super easy to find well used examples for sure. Not many people purchased one and never used it as it was such a great car to drive. Also I looked at the price and it was $230 USD in 1992. Today that's $485 or £411 so we can't really complain about today's kit prices lol.
Im hearing you. Had a skin full the other night and woke up in the morning with a message on my phone saying "Thank You for your purchase of Tamiya WildOne Blockhead motors, we are processing your order...." My wife is going to have kittens over this one.
I think it was about this time the controversy started and people accused Associated of not playing fair. The car was kept under wraps etc. Can't remember the back story.
I only got as far as the transmission was a hand built super early stealth prototype that eventually became the Stealth as we know it now. I don’t think the carbon chassis in his car ever made in into a release but I could be wrong.
Worlds Stealth car was a completely unique car, wishbones, hubs, transmission, chassis, top deck, shock towers everything was special for that track. Car never got released in the end which angered a lot of AE fans at the time.
I rotate my shelf cars all the time. Normally due to dusting the shelves ever few days thanks to sanding the edges of bodies lol. It's a studio, stock room and a workshop[ all in one, so it can be a right pain. LOL
That's a great looking car. Thanks for sharing your find.
That's the Viper body. I had one and the first gen RC10T when I was a kid. So much fun!!
These are really historic icons of R/C.
I do love a gold pan. I was running my A stamp at the weekend, great fun.
Nice car. I’ve still got my rc10t stadium truck that I raced in 94.
That’s crazy I still have my 94 RC10t as well.
You could claim that they got the idea from Team Losi, which released their JRXT prior to the 10T.
I also had 1
wife: "is that a new RC?!"
me: "no dear, I just repainted an old one"
A conversation often had here 🙈🤣🤣

Beautiful car Gav 👍, I think the passion Mark has for these cars has been a little contagious 😁 and I can see why.

🤣🤣🤣 Glad I am no longer in the same boat as you.
I had the RC10T stadium truck.also came with the stealth transmission.
Nice! b2's and b3's are getting hard to find in the states. Hopefully you will have greater success where you are.
I believe there are some on EBay. Way cheaper than the classic, whose prices skyrocketed.
So jealous!! Very nice and ace video as always 👌 👏

you forgot about the Horizon exclusive Team Associated TQ-10 with the Sidewinder body.
Now you see what you have gone and done now Heathcliff!
Nice. Do you ever come across the kit traxxas racers of the 90s? They are awesome.
A true C stamp had all black plastics.... I had one new in 95'
What's in it for us when we don't tell her? One of your other RC10? ;-)
Hey Rebecca! Wait until you hear this! 😂

@@RCKickschannel seriously though, I’m starting to become envious of your RC10 collection. Very nice addition!
1989 worlds didnt' masami win this with the AE stealth car - which never made production?

A few different parts on Masami’s winning car, the front shock tower was longer and it had different front shocks to cope with the track conditions
Dear Rebecca…..🤣😜
"market likely to crash" heard that somewhere and you are buying expensive vintage! Hope Rebecca finds out.
Happy little bunny aren’t we Gary.
Who is Charlie?😆
It’s the dog.

Thanks for not sharing always These crappy tamiya cars :-D
Gav, please block up your shelters, flat spotting vintage rubber is such a bummer!
