what's the point of having the security council when the 5 members who can impose the great power unanimity can easily veto proposals unfavorable for them?

You said for regional groupings of permanent representatives, that Africa gets 3, Asia/Pacific gets 3, and Latin America/Caribbean get 2. Which region(s) do the other 2 seats come from? Is it only the states that are in those regions that vote for their representatives? Or do all states vote for all regions within the General Assembly? Thanks for the helpful video!
I think the un should be in involved how to help smaller to midsize countrys that could help them develop there economies ,Not have any influential power on how we live in the USA the past Capitalism works and usa has been very profitable in our history ,till our currupt democratic party sold out this country back in the 1960,s .We need to totally change the way the current us federal goverment and all politicians do there jobs enough of all the killing of americans and put this country back on track making permanent changes in operation policies so the American people have the last word on all future decisions change all procedures so the people citizens have the final say on new perposed bills in the future as well and close all ways to prevent the fbi,doj,and other criminal investigations cant hide behind or cover up any audio,investigated report not dedacted .and should outcome of a conspiracies that are not true and goverment and other that participated in the untruth lies ,that all that went along with the cover up must pay back the cost of the investigation in full in 6mths or they be removed from there position till there percentage is paid in full off the crime.
Time has come to make serious reforms in security council permanent member tally upto 15. United states Russia China Britain and France are current permanent members of UNSC. India and Japan from asia and Soudi arabia from middle east Egypt and South africa from african continent adwellas 3:30 Brazil and Arjentina from south america aswellas Germany and Greece from Eroupe should be included for permanent seats. This should be urgently done for durable success aswellas Existence of UN body.
