I disappeared and then I was the dense knot in my guts often mistaken as me, but it is made of the same as everything else, the rest, all, that is the awareness of itself, because being and knowing are the same and only. Brahma and Atman? One as the shape taken by the other (a way of putting it) knowing-being modulating... that's what "WE" are...

Susana Rupolo The full Understanding or Realization of no-self is a radical shift beyond words or imagination and often takes years to integrate. Even just an intellectual grasp is very disturbing to the Western culture mindset that is rooted in Individualism. Tony Parsons, Suzanne Segal, David Carse, Eckart Tolle, Albert Jones use the world explosion, collision or radical to describe what the shift to no-self is truly like. This is not a cake walk.
With respect to whether consciousness arises from the body or the body arises out of consciousness just ask yourself when was the last time you had a conversation with a corpse.
