    The Beta52a is best placed outside the kick for better overall kick tone. For live at least on a port on the resonant sound, not too much in, but just enough to isolate it from other instrument bleed, usually around half-way. Better mic inside the kick is a piezo mic to capture the hits/click mixed with the “full” tone from Beta52a placed outside the kick. Usually not needed in medium scale events. ✌️😊

    This is awesome!!! e902 has way more body and definition IMO.

    I agree on the Sennheiser as the preference. The Shure was too dry, too lifeless IMO.

      Absolutely! The Shure is still a good mic and with a little more work in the mix, it’ll sound great.

    They’re not s opposed to be inside the kick drum.
