We saw Ocean Music Fest in early June, and it was awesome! High energy, and a lot of my favorites. Thanks for your dedication and hard work!
Thank you!! So happy that you enjoyed the show! It’s our favorite too, so it really means a lot when our performances resonate with the audience!
The amount of prep and logistics going into these shows is impressive.
It’s so cool to see it all work together! There are so many moving parts - considering all of them before launching a show like this must be exhausting! Thanks for watching!
What an amazing journey - you're all so hard working and talented. And FYI, I really enjoyed this format. I think you made a good choice to cut down on showing as much of the rehearsals, and instead doing a voice over narration. We got the complete picture in a nice tidy package that moved along very well.
Thank you so much Paula! I’m glad you enjoyed this style of video. Sometimes I’m better at vlogging as I go than others and the videos I always end up liking more at the end are the ones where I tell the story later and use the videos and photos captured in the moment to help show the story as I’m retelling it later.
Came here from Reddit....can't wait to see you guys June 14-24 on Viva!!!
Thank you!! Can’t wait!
Always love seeing your journey unfold and how much work and love you put into the art of performing!
Thank you so much! Always nice to "hear" from you! Hope your gigs are coming in nicely!! When's the cruise contract gonna start?
@@DavidPaigeMusic actually, I may have something lined up for next year in the Mediterranean/European zone! Been talking to an agent. Pray for me! 😜😅
@@cjbrewermusic hell yeah CJ!!!
Hey David, when is your new contract on the Viva running until. We will be on the Viva in December, wondering if you and Steph will still be there? Enjoy !
Hey there!! Thanks for watching. Unfortunately, we will miss you on this one! Our contract on this ship ends on July 27th
So are you guys a Pop Duo, or rock Duo, what is your music gener or specialty?
On Norwegian, it’s called the Contemporary Duo. On Carnival, it’s called the Mainstream Duo. We play pop and rock from the 60s to now. People are just as likely to head Dua Lipa or The Weeknd from us as they are to hear Guns N Roses or the Darkness.
When you have to play around 400 songs in a sailing, you have to be able to play more than just one genre.
Thank you for your response ❤
looking for a contract for my trio! Do you think you can help us somehow? you seem like a really nice guy :) BTW I can play bass too hehe
I’m not sure whether or not you’ll get your trio on ships. What I do know is that most of the positions are set. They have specific needs in HR and with setting up rooms. In order to do so, they always hire the same numbers for groups. On our current ship, they will always only hire the following: one guitar soloist, one Latin duo, one contemporary duo, a 4-piece party band, an 8-piece Syd Norman’s cast, a 5 piece show orchestra (drums, keys 1, keys 2, guitar, bass), and the 18-person cast of the show. No more, no less.
Most ships will have soloists, duos, 4 piece bands, and casts.
If you’re looking to bring your existing group onto the ship, and it doesn’t fit their programming, they will not make an exception for you. Instead, they will pick the group with the right number of people.
In order to help you get into ships, I’d suggest doing some homework about what groups are on ships and possibly adding a member to your trio or becoming a duo.
An agency will be best equipped to point you in the right direction. I’d recommend using google to get the contact information for as many agencies as you can to request information on placing your group. You’ll need to tell them about your style and provide a performance reel and a song list and a resume
Wish you the best of luck! Feel free to message me on instagram
@@DavidPaigeMusic wow that’s incredibly helpful! Thanks a lot 🙏 I will actually follow you on instagram! Keep on rocking 🎸
