this is the best demo of the flower foot. the info sheet that came w it was not as easy to understand as your demo. your demo will go on my facebook pg. its a keeper.
OMG I've had this foot in my sewing room drawer for 8.5 years, never knew or cared how to use it, when I bought the machine it came with it. Of course I just haven't looked for any instruction, however, I believe I will go play with it tomorrow and see about the darling stuff I can come up with. I'm using my granddaughter's machine while mine is being serviced and I'll have something to show her when she comes back next weekend. TY for making everything so clear.
Oh my goodness! I have had this foot for years and could never figure out how it works. Your video was so helpful! Tomorrow I am trying it again! I cannot thank you enough! PS. Did you know that on today’s date in 1842 John Greenough applied for the first US patent for a sewing machine? Fun fact for your company!
Wow. Thank you so much. I have this foot but couldn't quite figure out everything it would do. Another video online said to make sure the bobbin is in before installing the foot. I did learn this the hard way.LOL.
Hi have you tried using a fusible interfacing?, also using a tear off or water soluble backing as well really helps. I struggled a lot at first but this worked. I have plate to cover feed dogs but it kept popping off so tried covering feed dogs with polyvinyl electrician tape ensuring i leave a space around the needle hole. This works every time. The tape does not leave sticky residue and when i take it off i leave it on the side of my machine to use again. !!!! do not use sticky tape!!!! Tips Thread needle with presser foot up ensures it goes through tension disks Check using correct bobbin for your machine ensure it us wound correctly Set lower tension 3-4 is good for me but you may need to adjust depending on stitch chosen and material Ensure your sewing piece can move freely and does not get stuck in throat area of machine. Practice in smaller pieces of fabric I use 90 (14) universal needle but for thicker embroidery threads and glittery threads embroidery needles might be useful as have larger eye If am just using stabiliser i find i can use 80 (11) universal needle Hope this helps someone 😊
Do not take this wrong. But I love you. lol. your video was so well made. I had watched a couple and still was fighting with it. Now i cannot wait to play.
Hi Deborah! I have a Brother LB6800 - we have them on our site. Such a great machine! Thankfully, most new sewing machines have a thread cutter - such a great little feature!
So glad i found your videos. I purchased the flower stitch foot quite a while back but have not had time to learn how to use it. Your tutorial certainly cleared up a lot of questions for me.
Just got my foot today and couldn't wait! Worked great right out of the box. This tutorial made it so easy to understand, too. Wish my machine had more fancy stitches to play with using this foot, but ohhh the ideas that have popped into my head already! The only thing I can suggest to others who buy this foot, if you are going to sew onto one piece of fabric, use a stabilizer of some sort with it.
I tried it and the results were fun, but it only worked on an old machine with foot pressure adjustment, I now have a new machine with this, I should try again - and watch this video to see where I went wrong.
I can’t even get this foot to move in a circular motion! I’ve had this for so many years I keep checking for new videos to see what I’m doing wrong but it still won’t move! I’m exhausted!
Hi Audrey! I am so sorry- I some how missed your comments! I don't believe your machine comes with this foot, however this foot is compatible. Where you able to figure out how to thread the bobbin?
love this video. I could not figure out threading or winding yhe bobbin on my Singer Quantum 9960 machine. as soon as I get off of here I will try it. wish m e luck. does my machine come with a flower attachment? I did not see any. If not, can I buy one somewhere?
Thank you for this demo. I purchased this from you because your are the first to complete it can be used on my Brother QC1000. I have placed an order and am now waiting to receive so I can try this our. Also your pricing was much better than anyone else. Since you use Brother. Do you have videos for the Brother 2340CV?
hi.i want to buy a matchine .which hav all the fncshnz nd all kinds of tools inthat plus easy to use.kindly......what u will sugest for me?m actuly vry cnfuse coz i want to use that on comrshl way..........
Hi, I love this turorial, very clear instructions. I would love to purchase one of these for my Singer which comes with a plate that I cover my feed dogs with which means I can't actually "lower the feed dogs". Please can you tell me if I can still use one of these feet for my machine.. Thank you for posting such an informative tutorial and thanks for answering my question in advance.. A stich of love to ya! x
I don't know what I am doing wrong but I put the foot on and my feed dogs are down, I start to sew and its going ok and then my needle hits that little metal bar that sticks out in the center of the foot thats on the bar where you can change the size of the stitch, I hit it all the time and it breaks my needle! I am up to 8 needles broken now.... I am so flustered as to what I am doing wrong.... any helpful tips would be so appreciated! Thanks! Also what stitch width and length do I do? thank you
I've a brother innov is 20. When I attach the flower stitch foot the machine show up error and to use G foot for example and won't allow me to sew? Is there a way to overcome this as the machine in the clip looks similiar to mine from the back.
I've just recently got a flower foot for my sewing machine,I can do small an medium designs, but when I try the large it messes up it won't go in a circle am I suppose to move the something to make it go in a circle correctly on large motions? Ty ur video has been a big help!!
It all depends on what fabric you're using and what kind of stitching you're doing. To sew decorative stitches on woven, medium weight cotton, a light-weight cutaway for fusible stabilizer should work nicely.
Thanks for the demo on this foot. What is the tool you using to tighten/loosen the screw that tightens the foot. Did it come with your machine. How large of a circle will it make.
Hi! It comes with the chart when you buy it, but if you've lost the chart, send us a message to sarah AT sewing parts online DOT com and I'll email you a copy.
Hi! I'm so sorry, but this foot is not available for your machine. Hopefully, Janome will soon come out with a compatible flower stitch foot. Are there any other Presser Feet you were interested in?
Sherry Fradley Each "flower" is done individually, so if you wanted to make a row of flower stitches, you would have to mark with chalk and reposition your foot. Give that a try and let me know if that works!
Hello Paula. I am very sorry, but we do not have an adapter that allows your machine to use a flower stitch foot. I would suggest contacting Bernina directly for a genuine option. I am sorry I could not be of further assistance.

This is so great! The other tutorials don't explain how to use different stitches with the foot. So many more possibilities! Thanks!
Thank you! I bought this foot, not knowing how to use it lol

Hi Audrey! I am so sorry- I some how missed your comments! I don't believe your machine comes with this foot, however this foot is compatible. Where you able to figure out how to thread the bobbin?
so cute! thanks for the demo
Hi Melissa! Unfortunately, Huskystar is pretty picky about what feet it will use. It's not compatible with the Flower Stitch Foot. Sorry ;(
Hi! You can find it on our site by typing #FSF in the search box.
Pulling up the bobbin thread before starting to machine the flower is very important. Or thread won't catch on the upside
Hi! Unfortunately, Viking does not have this foot yet.
Hi Maximumblue! It will work with both of your machines!
love this video. I could not figure out threading or winding yhe bobbin on my Singer Quantum 9960 machine. as soon as I get off of here I will try it. wish m e luck.
does my machine come with a flower attachment? I did not see any. If not, can I buy one somewhere?

I'm sorry, the Flower Stitch Foot is only available for low shank sewing machines. Is there something else I can help you find?
That was one awesome video.
Unfortunately, this foot does not work with Husqvarna Viking machines.

Will this foot fit the Bernina 580, with the low shank adapter,#77, please?
I've a brother innov is 20. When I attach the flower stitch foot the machine show up error and to use G foot for example and won't allow me to sew? Is there a way to overcome this as the machine in the clip looks similiar to mine from the back.

Came with machine in little box inst on attaching to machine but no suggestion on which stitch produced what flower
Thanks so much for your excellent video!!
Help! I was trying to do a smaller flower, but it kept moving itself into the larger flower size.
I seen you say to "bring the bobin thread up" that would be why mine is not working??? Cheers for that info
So many feet, so little time! Who knew that there are so many options!! Please, will this work on a Necchi EX30? Thanks for sharing!
I've just recently got a flower foot for my sewing machine,I can do small an medium designs, but when I try the large it messes up it won't go in a circle am I suppose to move the something to make it go in a circle correctly on large motions? Ty ur video has been a big help!!
what kind of stabiliser should I use if I want to stitch on garments, quilts and other projects?
It all depends on what fabric you're using and what kind of stitching you're doing. To sew decorative stitches on woven, medium weight cotton, a light-weight cutaway for fusible stabilizer should work nicely.
I loved this thank you x
Do u have a print out of the stitches and what flowers they make? Or a few of them anyway
will this work on my singer 6251 model
Thanks for the demo on this foot. What is the tool you using to tighten/loosen the screw that tightens the foot. Did it come with your machine. How large of a circle will it make.

This is nice, but it would have been better to see if you used white thread to see better
how to make kids dress bow
Hi! It comes with the chart when you buy it, but if you've lost the chart, send us a message to sarah AT sewing parts online DOT com and I'll email you a copy.

Is there any way of aligning the stitches, e.g., circles or flowers in a straight row?
Sherry Fradley Each "flower" is done individually, so if you wanted to make a row of flower stitches, you would have to mark with chalk and reposition your foot. Give that a try and let me know if that works!
Can this be used on Singer 9116? Your tutorial makes me want to try this out sooooo badly.. :)
No matter what I do, with even the largest stitch and zig zag. I can only get an eyelet?
Why or when do we need to move the 3/6/9 notches? That part I don't quite understand.
+SuperModerngranny I think it was to make the stitches more pointy.
can I use it for my brother embroidery 1000e embroidery machine
Is there an adapter to get this to work on a newer style Bernina 830?
Hello Paula. I am very sorry, but we do not have an adapter that allows your machine to use a flower stitch foot. I would suggest contacting Bernina directly for a genuine option. I am sorry I could not be of further assistance.
Good learning
Help.! My machine is not forming stitches. Just going round like it would stitch a flower without actually stitching any thing
