Such Brahmins used to manifest fire in the Yajnavedi only through mantras and the soul of the animal used in the sacrifice also used to take the power of the mantras. Since there are no such brahmins in this age of kali, such sacrifices are prohibited.

Lord Krishna came in a human form to establish Dharma.
