Mania 2000's main felt like a No Way Out main event, where they just have the Champ have a big brawl with the guys you know he's gonna beat while Backlash felt like the actual main event.
He should've won at WM16. The fact that Rock never won a title at Wrestlemania is an absolute travesty. People actually threw trash in the ring when Triple H won.
It also helps that Rock and Hogan are the biggest stars in the history of the business alongside Austin. That match was lightning in a bottle, even Rock vs Cena didn't have the same atmosphere.
WrestleMania 17 is my favourite match, and always will be. Was my two favourites going at it growing up, the match is great, My Way is now always imtertwined, was perfect.
"He was just a lovely boy doing lovely things." "Jumping high?" Don't believe I ever saw Shane JUMP from those heights. It was always more of a Buzz Lightyear-thing. Falling with style... and luck. Did you mean his leap frog?
Rock/Hogan is in a weird way the perfect encapsulation of being a wrestling fan. The match itself was utterly shite yet the charisma of the two and the "storytelling" in the match had everyone invested and made it an absolutely amazing thing.
Hot take but the Rock vs Austin at Mania 17 is super overrated. The match itself was pretty bare bones. Yeah it was intense and bloody but the match felt dull and rather short and the whole Vince interference felt way too over dragged and made Austin’s win just feel confusing
A couple of things: 1. The Rock is Don Muraco. This idiot is Dwayne something. 2. I can rank every matched he ever had, on any show, ever. They're all a solid, deserving F.
2001-2003 were The Rock’s best Mania years

Ross' videos are certified goon worthy
Man main evented WrestleMania 3 years straight, and lost all 3 times. That's some Buffalo Bills energy right there lol.
Should've been four years straight too.
@TheThird1977 kinda was. Sure he won at 18, but everyone says it should have main evented. Kinda makes it a loss in a way, if you stretch hard enough.

Least protected top guy of all time.....
@@BadAssMacmillanHe'll win the wwe championship at WM 41, if it's The Rock vs Cody.
Idea: Tier list: every person to have main evented wrestlemania.
Hey, it's the first tier list I've wanted to watch from you guys in two years! I've been checking in periodically for things like this. Whoo-hooo!
Hogan vs The Rock proves that less is more with reading the crowd and fantastic storytelling.
It also helps that Rock and Hogan are the biggest stars in the history of the business alongside Austin. That match was lightning in a bottle, even Rock vs Cena didn't have the same atmosphere.
@@BadAssMacmillan cena vs rock absolutely did have that same atmosphere, but only for people that grew up in the cena era
WM 2000 was a complete dud. Backlash, 4 weeks later, was the ppv that WM should've been.
Edging and gooning to this video as we speak
Me who was edging beforehand- umm yes I started with this video of course
Edge and Goon would be a fun match
Caltuholic 2024 aka THE GOON ERA
WM 17 is still my favorite Mainia main event . I agree the best ending. The Rock just refused to give up.
29 should have been a Triple Threat with Punk involved as well in my opinion.
Yaaay!
It's my most favorite Gary RUclips aling with one of my other favorite Gary RUclipss.
😄👍
WrestleMania 17 is my favourite match, and always will be.

Need an updated Tier List of every WrestleMania after WM 40
UP THE GARY RUclips!!!!!
UP THE WTF!!!!
Garry did a wonderful job along side Mr RUclips here.
I don't think you guys actually watched the WM 14 match vs Ken lol. It was definitely Alright, borderline lovely.
"He was just a lovely boy doing lovely things."
"Jumping high?"
Don't believe I ever saw Shane JUMP from those heights. It was always more of a Buzz Lightyear-thing. Falling with style... and luck.
Did you mean his leap frog?
Up the Gary Maivia!
Didn’t even know The Rock had gyno surgery but looking back it’s so obvious
Why did you guys not wait until after next week to do this??? 🤷🏻♂️
WM XIX was by far his best show 👍
You "genuinely didnt know who was going to win the once in a lifetime match?" Really, jack? Both of the match outcomes were incredibly obvious
Flo Rida performed Wild Ones and Good Feeling. 31:49 I’ll believe WWE over a knob like Meltzer thank you.
Austin vs Rock 2 is the best omg shocking ending
Thanks 🎉
Could you not wait a week
i thought i was the only Gary RUclips!
Cena vs rock mania 29 underrated match
All fucking hail Ron Seal
Oh, I've come in time:)
Wait until next week The Rock will have Cody Crybabies in the fetal position
Rock vs rowan was peak cinema almost makes bryan vs sheamus look bad
Did I miss the part where they said they were skipping Wrestlemania XX?
Up, the Ron Seal!

Same. I feel like Mania 17 is overrated in general.
Shouldn't be a hot take that match ending sucked hard. Gotta stick the landing no matter what. Rock vs Hogan is the goat.

Cody, is that you?
@@IroquoisPliskin86 LOL, nah, he sucks too. As does any pro wrestler who started after 1990.
@@isd8894World's worst take 2024
I don't know what The Rock is cooking but i'm smelling couple of little british fanboys
