Do you have a pic of cam lobe position while at tdc and timing marks lined up ? I think I have a slipped cam gear in the intake cam on a 04 rmz250. All the timing marks line up perfect but the lobes look off
I adjusted my 08 Rmz 450 valve clearance and my bike is still ticking.. intake fits 09/10 feeler gauge and exhaust fits .19 and .20 I’m really not sure why it’s still ticking…
Be sure you are using inch measurements, some feeler gauges are confusing. If you have that all correct and it's still making noise, the next thing I would check is your timing chain tensioner to be sure it's working properly.
Also say if its 9-16 can you just choose any shim in-between that range ? Or does it have to be exact
Great video, you get right to the point, very helpful

Sorry I don't, at 2:43 in this video I talk about where the lobes should be, but I no longer have the bike to take a photo. Thanks for watching.
Can I just turn the kickstart instead using a socket?
You can, but it's very difficult to get it perfect.
@@TepcoCycleRepair thanks man I just don't have allen head that big for the bottom bolt is why
@@matthew414-YT I see, you can also put the rear wheel in the air, put it in gear and rotate the rear wheel.

What if I can use my hand to push the kicker ?
Really depends on how easy it is. The bike has auto decompression so it's easier then a bike without.
@@TepcoCycleRepair so what’s the best move ?
@@doowap5139 Get a leak down test done not a compression test. That will tell you if you have bad rings or valves.
Did you drain the gas before doing this?
No, no need to.
@@TepcoCycleRepair not gas, sorry, I meant the oil
@@davidmalacescu4217 No, no need to drain that either. Thanks for watching!
