This recipe changed my life... sounds silly but its true, 2 months ive been eating this! Affordable, VERY AFFORDABLE, and it is the BEST meal prep i have ever tried. Perfect for a young man in his 20's who does not have time to be in the kitchen every day! Bless your soul for this recipe and for the work you do for us
Made this recipe for dinner tonight and it was an absolute winner! Easy to make and super flavourful. As someone who is trying to cut out processed foods as much as possible from my family's diet I love this recipe is made primarily with whole foods. Everyone should make this recipe, no one will be disappointed. Thank you Chef Jack 😊
I've made a dozen recipes on your channel, all turned out amazing...I've tries other channel recipes, didn't turn out well, you have the best presentation and clear directions, thank you for all your work and dedication Chef Jack!
I made this tonight and it's absolutely stunning. Followed the recipes strictly and the result was a very well balanced and tasty meal. Thank you chef.
My grandma was full Italian and she had a very similar recipe. Hers was just pasta and sauce. I have added protein to mine and I highly recommend using low fat Italian sausage instead of lean ground beef. A little Less healthy for sure but tastes soo much better. Also I love the idea of cream cheese. I usually use no fat yogurt when I am substituting heavy cream. I tried it and loved it.
I've been subbed to so many cooking channels on RUclips over the years. You're definitely one of the best in terms of both recipe ideas but also empowering confidence in cooking. I love how you give alternative methods, equipment and ingredients at every step, catering for those on a budget and those who may lack confidence in cooking. Perfect personality for content like this.
i substituted out cream cheese for cottage cheese, swapped beef for lean ground chicken, and lowered the amount of fat and upped the protein by doing this! The versatility of the recipe is another aspect I love a lot about it. I added mushrooms and capers into mine, and its still fantastically delicious!

I'm a horrible cook. Just made this and it turned out amazing! My nutrition breakdown came to be around 790 calories for 54g protein, but my ingredients likely differ in nutrition than what Jack used. Thank you so much for the recipe!!
You could do the sauce and the pasta and cook up some chicken you could slice it or dice it and add it to the sauce OR you could do the sauce add some broccoli add diced chicken or pork and serve it with rice.. OR you could use the sauce as what it is as a sauce and drizzle it over a cooked chicken breast or thigh and/or salmon.. OR once you you have done the sauce and cooked the pasta, you could add some extra veg and just had it that way... Or you could make a pasta bake as well..
Thanks Jack, made this tonight and it was amazing! I could eat the sauce with a spoon by itself and be happy. Even better once complete. Hey Chef, can you also try to include the fibre content when you show the per serving macros. It'll be really helpful, because I follow your meal preps and if I am low on fiber in a meal, I can try and substitute that
Excellent meal prep there Jack. As an Aussie I will say that most commercially grown Gourmet Tomatoes generally are crap and not worth the money or time to source them. Truss (hydroponic) or the returning Heirloom tomatoes are much better. For homemade sauces I use the Kumato. The flavour is superb. For something a bit different add Vodka to the sauce at the same time as the chicken stock. Great video and recipe. Cheers mate 👍🤤😀
🤤🤤 Glad I'm not the only one who uses cream cheese (plus other kinds of cheese all the at the same time / depends on what cheese I have around - cheese fanatic) in the sauce for any pasta I cook 😄
I was just thinking about a recipe that include pasta instead of rice cause I’m sick of it, then I’ve seen that u upload a new video that it is pasta. Definitely will try it next week. I can’t thank you enough for this great content!!
i love how simple your videos are also the cooking. im learning how to meal prep for two cause im living on my own and i need to start somewhere!! so sick of ordering take out all the time. please do continue making these types of content and the meals! you got yourself a new sub🤩
I’ve made this like 6 or 7 times now and can attest, it’s a great recipe. I have found that swapping the fresh tomatoes out for a large can of whole, peeled, San Marzanos significantly reduces prep time without losing anything as fast as taste in my experience. Just add them to the peppers once they have started to soften since the canned tomatoes don’t need as much time to break down.
Chef, I love your meal prep series and this one is the 3rd one I’ve tried. That said I personally found the taste of all three to be a bit bland. Next time with this one I will double the spices and add replace one tomato with some concentrated tomato paste.
Hi Jack I love your recipes! Can you include recipes with sous vide techniques using chicken, pork fish etc and create a comparision to a traditional cooking method?

With mortgage rates increasing, we can't afford to eat out every lunchtime anymore. A home prepared meal like this will save me money and be healthier. Thanks Jim!
Great video, but could you please help me figure out how is that 55g of protein a meal? Protein sources here are beef (150g per meal = about 30g of protein a meal), and cream cheese (45g per meal = about 5g of protein a meal). Parmesan and pasta itself ads about 7g per meal. 30+5+7=42. Ok maybe chicken stock has some in it as well, so let's add another 5. 42+5=47 max. What am I missing?
@Chef Jack Ovens: Try replacing cream cheese with plain greek yogurt (you may need to use less). It's healthier, you get a nice tang that really impacts the flavor profile wonderfully.
Just made this today and its amazing. I couldn't get sweet paprika so I added a tsp of brown sugar. Only issue I had was I got 2 meal prep boxes worth because the whole family wanted some 🤣

Loved this recipe Jack, pasta and meat combination meals you do amazing. Any chance we could have another high calorie meal prep with this combo? I loved the pasta cajun chicken you did and it was perfect. Thanks!
Great recipe and great video ! Just one thing, I think the macros you announced are off on the carbs : You're using 500g of dry pasta which is by itself around 350g of carbs. Divided by 5 just the pasta would lead to 70g of carbs per portion (so 46g of carbs per portion seems off)
