    Laura Yetunde Akano
    Laura Akano is a certified etiquette trainer and coach, she is also a qualified childcare and play work practitioner. Laura is the founder of Polished Manners UK, an etiquette and social skills training and consulting company.
    She has contributed to etiquette related topics on radio and in newspapers, including ‘The Washington Post’.
    Laura has been featured in BBC programmes in England and Northern Ireland teaching etiquette.
    She has been working with children since 2001 and is passionate about helping children and young people develop and improve their social skills through etiquette training.
    It is her belief that etiquette and social skills training empowers an individual to live a positive life and it enhances career and business success.
    Laura also teaches adults interested in developing soft skills through business and social etiquette training. Laura's mission is to make etiquette training more accessible and not just for the rich. She teaches in a fun, practical, modern and relevant way that can be applied to everyday life.
    Laura is currently writing a book on etiquette and manners for youth that will be used as part of student’s education curriculum.
    Prior to becoming an etiquette trainer, she started and managed several after school and holiday clubs in her local area for 13 years. Laura also spent 16 years working for various companies in retail and administrative positions including Nestle UK, House of Fraser, Federal Express and Hertz UK.
    Her experiences have made an impact on how she trains with an emphasis on the importance of human relationships and connections
