Bar fishing for chinook or king salmon can be excellent in the Fraser River in September. This video clip shows Emma Lindgren from Kanalgratis.se fishing for chinook salmon for the first time with Great River Fishing Adventures guide Jeff Welch. After several misses of solid bites, she finally hooks up a nice fish.

Wish I lived in Canada, all the steelhead, halibut, and salmon fishing except striper
+[MienAce] Stripers have been caught in Canada before :) Rare though.
+BC Mercrow New Brunswick actually has huge striper fishing (and a lot of the east coast). They come in the thousands into the rivers in the spring and you can stand on the bank and watch huge fish swim by. Catching multiple 30+ pound fish is not uncommon :)
SteelTiiTan I didn't know that. Thanks ^.^
Uh, ya, stay away please, far, far too many border crossers already. Thanks
Nice video the bar fishing in the Fraser was last fall was the best I've seen in 30 years, we were into fish every 30 minutes fishing off the beach in a drive to spot.
+Dale Larsen Thanks. Well hopefully there'll be a repeat in 2016 as I personally only got out a couple of times for this in September so missed the bulk of the action.
I
Rod amazing video btw and I have a question was this a year ago or is it late August and early September because I don't remember any sockeye run this year only pink but I know springs or chinooks came in the Fraser?
+GG games There wasn't a sockeye salmon fishery this year for the Fraser River due to the low return as expected, but the chinook salmon return was exceptionally good so fishing was very productive throughout part of August and September. This was from mid September this year.
flat earthers can put the argument to rest, this video clearly shows the curvature of the earth. heh
It's Canada, the curvature is stronger up here in the remote wild North.
Don't waste your time!!! The camera man was to interested in shooting Emma's face; and in the end never film the fish we all waited to see. Don't take my word look at the video how many times you see the back of her head close up!
+SantaClaus HawkeyeNJ There is a good reason that the fish was never shown at the end actually, which will be explained in another video later.
