Dear Gene: Letter of Love: for all the work you have done for decades...the laughs you have brought forth out from bellies filled with darkness...thank you, thank you, thanks, Gene.
I am so blown away by his courage and strength. He's truly a survivor in every sense of the word. :) Gene Wilder is truly an awesome actor, writer, and singer (yes, singer, his rendition of 'Pure Imagination' is, simply put, pure magic).
Wilder just came into my store a week ago he's the sweetest nicest man ever im so honored to have met him! 79 years old and still goin hard that's my man gene
I love you Gene ..I heard the sad news on the radio (sitting in a car Sandy beach HI )and checked the news and cried and laughed and crying now again .R.I.P
+Charles Jones I was just thinking that.He really seemed sharp here at 74. In recent years though he has become a bit slower, but age comes quickly to us all.
"If science teaches us anything, it teaches us to accept our failures, as well as our successes, with quiet, dignity and grace..." This man's a GENIUS!
Awesome! I have stage 4 non-Hodgkin's lymphoma; above and below the diaphragm; it is has entered into my nasal passage and gone into the right sinus. I am not going to do chemo--too weak and tired. I also have thyroid lymphoma; so I am going to enjoy each day and look forward to Heaven. I have EBV, which was the ultimate culprit in destroying my health. I went 23 years after diagnosis of EBV until now. I have put in a good run; not afraid of death; if anything life is what scares me. GB Gene!
+Denise Horn One of my very good friends is fighting NHL. It pains me to read this. I wish I could say something to make you feel better but I know I can't. I just hope that your days are filled with nothing but love and beauty.
Denise, bless your heart and soul - I admire your courage and honesty. I too have NHL and I am not afraid. Please know you’re not alone and you are loved. GB you!
Denise, I have Hodgkin's lymphoma and have undergone two separate chemo regimens in the last two years. Chances are strong for recovery. If you read this, please consider chemo.
I found out recently that 35 years before I was born, Gene Wilder grew up in the same neighborhood I grew up in. And he still has those stunning eyes. You *go*, Jerome!
Gotta love Gene Wilder he's soooo humble and he always has that soft calm voice he's very warm and caring and as connaught2008 said a true gentleman he's a very talented writer and Actor God Bless him may he have many years ahead of him
Gene Wilder along with Peter Boyle set the stage for many great actors to follow. He has never been the same since he lost his beloved Gilda. It's one thing to love.. tis quite another to love again. I wish you well Gene. god bless you sweet Gilda. "Lest we forget ".
Well, I've just found yet another reason to admire Gene Wilder. By sharing his story, he may very well inspire others who think they simply have a kidney stone to go get checked out, thus potentially saving their lives. Gene, you rock!
I love Gene Wilder. I know just what he had done. My husband had NHL but after his stem cell transplant he passed away. I still belong to the NHL Cyberfamily group on yahoo. They are a wonderful group of people who have NHL or they are caring for someone with cancer. They helped me so much when I was trying to help my husband.
Gene had such a beautiful singing voice. It’s weird, cuz his singing voice sounds exactly like his talking voice, but still sounds so smooth. I’m 34, I grew up on wilder and I’ll be a fan till my last breath.
There is "Something" about Gene Wilder's eyes where you don't want to look right at them or you will see his soul!? His eyes are so amazing and have always been.
My best friend died of Non hodgkins lymphoma. They gave him six months and he took seven years. A wonderful man and sadly missed. hate hearing this about Gene. Another great human being we're better off having with us.
Amazing video! Gene is one of the most amazing people in the world and I wish we could see more of him. He was such an amazing actor, comedian, and person. I wish him and his family the best!
What a lovely man! Lost my sis-in-law to NHL 2 yrs ago, was with her til a few hrs before she went. It was a long battle; she was in remission a year before it came back with a vengeance. She quit chemo the 2nd time, said it was too hard on her & didn't stop new tumors forming. Lost my dad to cancer his 3rd time having it. 1st time ('62) it was a sciatic nerve. He had surgery & cobalt treatments; they gave him a 5% survival chance, but he never told me. 20 yrs later he had a melanoma on his neck, successfully removed. In '94 he had memory problems. Stepmom kept it secret. I lived 1000 miles away. Sent him a FD card, said I'd be up to visit in Aug. SHE knew he was dying but didn't tell me. He had an astrocytoma, & quit chemo cause it wasn't helping. I didn't know til I got the call that July that he died of brain cancer. I have RA, dr wants me on chemo, but I won't take it unless I get cancer. My cousin has RA, took Humira & is dying from breast cancer caused by the Humira.
With the cancer, his shock of frizzy hair is gone... I met him once and had a good talk with him when I went to NY... He is a wonderful man... I would give anything to see him do an animated movie or see him in one last movie.
El mejor actor de comedia en la historia del cine, es increíble como aun se mantiene bien. Me gustaría leer sus libros y además ya tengo unas cuantas películas en mi colección.
Listening to him brings memory of what my father went through. It was exactly the same. He finally went thru stem cell transplant, but unfortunately, the cancer came back within 6 months. We`re just hoping for the best and spending every second with him. I LOVE my DAD.
I love Gene wilder he and Richard Pryor all ways manage to put a smile on my face through all the hard times! What a lovely man! thank you for uploading video :)
Agh I miss this man on the screen so much! He was one of the greatest comedians in my childhood/youth in the 1980s-early90s, for the movie business it is a great loss that he has more or less retired from the screen, but as a fan I am extremely happy for the good life he seems to be living with his new wife. Much love to Gene!
I am always happy to know he survived. He once said that he was not worried so much for himself if he died of the cancer, but was more worried about leaving his wife Karen (He certainly already knew the experience of seeing a spouse die.) He said that he believes that was maybe the reason that be pulled through.
But he still fought cancer man!! And he is still around!! Going through Chemotherapy and fighting cancer is not a bloody joke mate!! You maybe right, but still you should appreciate a man who has brought a smile on the faces of millions all over the world!!
I have it too, found in 2002, had a round of ruxitan. It came back in 2005. I had Ruxitan again and have been in remmison for 5 years. My Cancer doctor said what Gene had would be a last resort. There are about 30 kind of Lymphoma, it may have had one that would not stay in remmison long. I going to ask my dr when I see her next month. I have scans every 6 months. Best wishes too you.
theres just something about him im only sixteen but even when i was younger i would be watching tv and i would come across one of his movies and just watch him i usually didnt understand the movie or anything that was going on but i would just watch because of gene theres just this wonderful goodness about him that even a little kid can sense anyways hes an amazing guy and i hope he makes it through this

I know this is 8 years old, but even at 74 his mind, his energy was phenomenal. Just a little slower today at 82, but I will be glad to make it to 70.
