Selam how u all i don't know from where i should start...but... ur podcast is grate keep it up..i loved it beyond the problems which address us with the things i really need to address now...i try to follow ur sessions and listen to it carefully and try to balance every time ..to day i finally decided to come forward nd put some of my advice and what i feel on this session as i am a teenage mentor and leader at my church...first thing as long as your channel is a public channel try to understand and know what to present to ur audiences which am not trying to pull-out "Heni" but instead of ur target issue and ur gole to address to ur audience..he might be amazing musician that i have no problem with that...but the thing is that he have mentioned very broad thing which i try to explain it in the shortest way that ""secular music" is not a sin"...which makes me very sad...plus u also covered it and support the idea of being in the secular music world have no problem with the concept of the mentioned Bible verse at Galatians 5:21 ...which is very wrong...yaw lale mamen kalhon besteqer we all know that zefen hatiyat endehon...which is begilts“ይህም የእግዚአብሔርን እውነት በውሸት ስለ ለወጡ በፈጣሪም ፈንታ የተፈጠረውን ስላመለኩና ስላገለገሉ ነው፤ እርሱም ለዘላለም የተባረከ ነው፤ አሜን።”

There is a simple solution to show the episodes from the US. If there is no extensive editing required, Just make Abel co- admin of your RUclips channel/ account. He can load it in 5 minutes from the US. He's totally wrong about his understanding of music in the Bible. The Bible does not say not to sing music. In fact, it encourages singing as a form of worship and praise, as seen in many Psalms and in the New Testament. But the singing is meant to worship God, not to idolize a girl or a boy!!!! It's quite amusing how we tend to interpret and translate the Bible to suit our own interests. Addressing Yonis' point about the discrepancies between the English and Amharic versions of the Bible, I would argue that the Amharic version is more reliable. This is because the Amharic Bible is derived from the Ge'ez texts, which themselves are translations from the Greek Septuagint and, to a lesser extent, the Hebrew Bible. The English version of the Bible emerged much later in history, so it shouldn't be considered the definitive version.
Regarding the moral value of music, it doesn't matter how it is created or interpreted; secular music often ends up being played in morally questionable places like bars and clubs. Once you release music to the public, you can't control how or where it is consumed. Take Teddy Afro's music, for example. While his songs about Ethiopia might seem harmless and patriotic, they are often played in settings that don't align with biblical values, such as clubs and bars where people are drinking.
Therefore, the only music we should be singing is that which glorifies God. Music that leads us into sin or fits into a sinful lifestyle is inherently wrong, no matter its initial context or intent. Henok, you need to find your footing. You can't play both sides. Stop misleading people into thinking secular music is acceptable as long as its context is okay. It isn't, and that's clear from the teachings of the Bible.
well said! It's acceptable to declare, "I like music, I want to play," if we understand that it's wrong (acknowledging that you're not quite that spiritual yet) but it's inappropriate to quote scriptures to support our own beliefs.
