  • The Beast Of Gevaudan: The Horror that Terrorized France
The Beast was a creature with plenty of mythos, but what is true and what do we really know about it?

I think the guy dressing up as a wolf theory sounds the most plausible. especially as it happened after the 1st wold was killed, guy may have heard about that and decided to emulate it.

Wonder if it was guy or families who would pass along murders or attacks to get money from the king

Awesome video. Love breaking down the myth and how it could have been different animals or a serial killer. Wonder what other myths about animals were based on 🤔 wouldn't mind hearing more

You should do more videos like this, maybe even try finding some first-hand accounts for creatures in the cryptozoology field.

So this is what the movie Brotherhood of The Wolf was based on. Good to know. Cool movie.

One of my favorite stories ever . The trained hyena or lion was really strange thing as it only went for smaller people

The pattern actually totally fits a serial killer, especially one paying attention to the news of the beast being "killed" and using that time to recuperate, maybe relive his kills. The rate of the killing starting off slow and eventually becoming seemingly a spree is also a sign, as he would have felt empowered by that time, having gotten away with so many kills and close calls. Personally, I think it was a man deluding himself that he was a wolf, dressing in hide most likely. This would also explain the "laughter/arguing" and human sounds, he was a man trying to sound like a wolf. I can't speculate too much as I'm not an FBI profiler but he likely had a messed up childhood amd being an animal may have started out as an escape. There were likely some wolf attacks mixed in, though I do think wolves were wary of humans as people back then usually were lethal in defending land/livestock. Keep them coming dna, liking these videos

Interesting events and speculation. I think your right about it being a person doing it with the claims people said about it being on two legs

I wouldn't call myself a singer. But I have before, been in a few bands, and I was taught how to project my voice. So I can do some basic stuff, that's about it

Hyena theory makes the most sense to me redish fur with black spots , we dont really know all animals that lived in north west africa and the giant landmass of iberia that lived at that time. Could have been a ancient hyena race a rare survivor of that species . Also the laughing just sounds like a hyena.
