The avata is a ready to fly drone. Its required to have standard remote id. That requires the ground station location. A remote id module only requires the takeoff location. I wish we could connect through wifi to the goggles for location data.

Hi buddy! Nice to see that you are moving forward with that. I would not risk at the beginning to be that close to the water ;) Was it really 15 degrees angle for the camera? Greetings from Poland.

yes, but I've noticed the Avata doesnt always switch to 15 degrees. sometimes it's even less so choose this before take off

Hi buddy, cool video and appreciate the effort you put into it!
Quick question, though, you mention the DJI Virtual Flight is only available on the phone or the goggles, however, I now have the DJI virtual flight program for the PC. Do I still need a lift 16:38 off?

Cool video man!! You’re doing great so far.. The Remote ID error is because the FAA requires the drone to broadcast both it’s own location as well as the pilot in control, since your goggles don’t have a gps it will always be the case going forward.. It has nothing to do with your phone’s connection or having service - only the GPS in the phone is used.

Oh roger, thanks for that clarification! I’ll try to test it out this weekend in a remote area

@@KrisLuckPhoto Personally I am in Canada and we don’t have any remote ID regulations, I just fly without my phone and ignore the errors but I don’t know if that’d be legal for you and there’s a few steps you gotta jump through like reconnecting your phone if you crash and need to use turtle mode or take off again

So you’re saying that if you don’t have service the gps will still work ?

Unfortunately the only way to get around the remote ID is to roll back the firmware on the drone ,remote and goggles.

WE BACK!!! Maybe if we make enough videos complaining about the phone dangling for Remote ID they'll do something different!😂
