Amazing set up! I would want this in the future. Sorry about all the people in the comments who think they know everything! Your flock is obviously quite healthy if theyre producing that many eggs
Being an avid "Intensive" gardener myself and raising a small flock of chickens myself, as well as always trying to maintain an "Eye Pleasing" landscape, I was struck by the functional beauty and ingenuity of your creations ! Having my own You Tube channel..."Gardening With Vincenzo" , I am always looking for new ideas , concepts and landscape designs to incorporate into my own small "homestead" ! Great video...Thanks for sharing !
loved the grass! my chickens would love that grass- have to gather the greens and give it to them, they get out, but they've basically eaten everything. lovely eggs!
Chicken: "All right, I painstakingly laid this egg, I gave it my all, sweat, blood and tear. Let me have a look at my baby." *Looks down.* *Confused screaming*
From the looks of the video, the chickens look healthy and not stressed out. You can see two chicken doors that can be opened for the chickens to be let out. I'm sure he only keeps them cooped up for a small portion to keep the egg laying within the perimeters.
Nice set up, just wonder whether those metal egg laying coops get too hot in Summer, I don't see how air would circulate inside. Our Summers can hit over 40+ degrees, don't think our chooks would be comfortable in a hot metal egg laying compartment
i may have to consider this best next box for my flock! and for viewers worried about the spacing of these chickens...if this guy lives on the big island i can almost guarentee he has atleast 1 acre and most likely lets them free range after he collects their eggs. its what i do anyway, then at the end of the day they go back to the coop on their own and i lock them in for safe keeping until the next morning.
Look worth the money. I get 100/125 eggs a day. Florida rains too. May have to make it a must have. Ho wide was your greenhouse? I have cold frames as I was a grower. 3' and high wall. Great video!
You only got a few laying outside the box . I had all mine do that once. So i made wooden eggs on the woodlathe and sat them in the nest box and it helped to solve that

Cheers for this, I been tryin to find out about "chicken shed design" for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried - Machaaldity Coop Blaster - (just google it ) ? Ive heard some interesting things about it and my m8 got cool success with it.
Greetings! What breed of chickens do you have or is it an egg cross? Have you made nests yourself, where chickens lay eggs, or have you already bought a ready-made version? Where do you live?
Great chicken coop. Really liked the nesting boxes, I was wondering how you get the eggs to roll out? Is it on an slight angle? Appreciate the info, got inspired to do the same for our future coop. Thank you
Diana H we keep our hens in till around 9 am. They seem to have their eggs lates by then. However we also only feed in coop. So they go back when hungry. We water inside and outs . Before we would find clutches in the barn and other places
Question, I really don't to get into raising a ton of chickens. For two people would 2 or 3 chickens be enough for us? If we end up with more eggs than we need, we can easily give them to a neighbor.
This is a good size for a coop...a coop is just where they sleep and for predator protection, the run is the part where they get out and exercise, and his run is his yard, so I would imagine that he does not keep his chickens in the COOP all day every day. People misunderstand that a coop and run are the same thing, they're not. You can have a small run in your coop if you have the raised kind, and they can go under it.
This was great, I have been researching "backyard chicken house" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Machaaldity Coop Blaster - (should be on google have a look ) ? Ive heard some incredible things about it and my brother in law got excellent results with it.
This was great, been searching for "coop chicken coop" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about - Machaaldity Coop Blaster - (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now ) ? Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my brother in law got cool results with it.
hey ,if anyone else trying to find out outdoor coops try coop magic tactic ( search on google ) ? Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my buddy got cool results with it.
This is beautiful, great job! I’m so tempted to take on the project for myself but feeling super intimidated. I would have to rent tools. And a truck to get the materials to my home. Im worried I maybe in over my head. Would you be able to tell me an estimate on what the materials alone would cost if I purchased your plans and built it myself.
I have the same nest box and am considering getting another. I see the one box has about 5 dozen eggs, and the other has about half that. The fuller one is lower, so that makes sense. Is that the usual spread?
They obviously don't, keeping them from roaming around and limiting their exercise results in more eggs and less feed consumption duh. He's in it for money and eggs, not poultry health and well being that's obvious.
I cannot believe how many idiots are commenting that it is too many chickens for the space. These are probably they same people that live in a big city like human rats in a sewer. :)
That coop section is approx. 20X24 or 24 X 24 Hard to tell from his camera work so it's area is between 480 sq ft to 560 sq ft. so 4.8 feet per bird to 5.6 feet per bird. So there is more than enough room for the birds in this type of environment. In fact they could double and /or triple the number of birds in there and still have more than enough room. Chickens tend to clump together and no matter the size of the enclosure it always looks like it is too small.. Those birds are moving around and there does not seem to be any picking feather loos or cannibalisim going on so spacing s just fine. As to free range like one person asked. Requirements for free range are 100 sq ft out side of the enclosure for every 10k sq ft of building space.. However in HI I would not recommend letting them out due to the fact of the wild critters in the country side that would want to eat them and the eggs.
Critters in the countryside? Not many pretitores in HI. I raised birds there for years and had a hawk that would come watch them sometimes but they are everywhere and strangely enough he never even took a chick. The only birds I lost got killed by a dog. And they were completely free range during the day. As in no fences..
one of the best backyard chicken coops I've seen.

I enjoyed your video. I like the idea of your chicken coop being in a greenhouse setup. Really good layout.
From the looks of the video, the chickens look healthy and not stressed out. You can see two chicken doors that can be opened for the chickens to be let out. I'm sure he only keeps them cooped up for a small portion to keep the egg laying within the perimeters.
I like your water collecting deal going on too! the rain gutter, into the barrells taking advantage of that surface area!!
What an inspiration you are. Confident and capable . Will definitely seek out your other videos. It was a pleasure to watch you work
I just LOVE hearing chickens cluck and coo. So, cute!
Nice set up, just wonder whether those metal egg laying coops get too hot in Summer, I don't see how air would circulate inside. Our Summers can hit over 40+ degrees, don't think our chooks would be comfortable in a hot metal egg laying compartment
and I've been following your channel for a while, I like it a lot, today I signed up
Just got one of these nesting boxes a double. Very high quality and excited for our chickens!
That’s a cool setup, wish I had enough land for that!
It looks good ... Good Idea ... Soon I will implement this to start my own small scale farm of Hens ...

Put a wire mesh ladder for the birds to walk up, they will clean of some of the mud from their feet prior to laying.
Good Idea 👍
Looks a great way to get clean eggs. I've just be changing my set up to make sure they're clean all year round.

I like having the ability to collect eggs in the back like in this video.

I like the concept of the cage you are using
Greetings! What breed of chickens do you have or is it an egg cross? Have you made nests yourself, where chickens lay eggs, or have you already bought a ready-made version? Where do you live?
It's a nice nest box but I made my own for free. Glad you are enjoying your chickens!
Great chicken coop. Really liked the nesting boxes, I was wondering how you get the eggs to roll out? Is it on an slight angle? Appreciate the info, got inspired to do the same for our future coop. Thank you
WOW, very cool setup. Thanks for sharing. Love those nest boxes.
by far, neatest set up I have seen so far...kudos to you....do you let the free range later in the day?
Super, amazing video
Awesome greetings from Trinidad and Tobago 🇹🇹
Thanks so much. Perfect timing...thinking of starting a coup. Thanks for all you do
can you show the inside of the boxes so we can see how it works I like this idea that way I don't have to go hunting to the whole farm for eggs

Great farming you guys keep going..
Would you please show the inside of your nesting boxes & how it works? We just got to see the end result. Would appreciate it. Thanks.
Mendoza Juan hook him up. Cause you sound as if you get laid every week.

Don't take his example. He has overcrowding and will soon be dealing with pestilence and death. Be very careful who you deem to be a professional.
nice setup sir..they can even go out in the winter (you one smart dude....)
He specifically stated that the chickens track mud in, from being OUT. Clearly they free range.
@@michaelreyes3510 I just had a look at the site you recommended, they really have some great designs, ty

What is this type of nest box called?
Great conversion!
Great system! 👍
Wow, amazing way of collecting the eggs :))
very niece sir 👍️👌
Hi this is so cool. How do you get them to go there to lay their eggs?
do the chickens free range? seems like a very small area for so many birds and not enough nest boxes.
They obviously don't, keeping them from roaming around and limiting their exercise results in more eggs and less feed consumption duh. He's in it for money and eggs, not poultry health and well being that's obvious.
Near the ground on the left side of the old nesting box is a chicken door leading to the yard
He clearly says in the video that the chickens get muddy "when they go outside." Resulting in some dirty eggs...
Hi, . What are you doing in winter?
Brilliant but I still do not see the inside how the hen lays the egg
Do they go in the best box on their own? Do you need to train them out how do they know where to go?
Free range chickens lay the same quantity of eggs as confined birds. Most chickens lay one egg a day...
A very clean chicken farming
Cool coop. New subscriber here. Looking forward to checking out all your stuff.
Cool! Hi from Russia!
I cannot believe how many idiots are commenting that it is too many chickens for the space. These are probably they same people that live in a big city like human rats in a sewer. :)
nice setup
How do the eggs not break once they are layed and put in position for you to grab?
Can I use treated (green pressured) wood to build the coop? Is it safe for the chickens?
Nice Impressive work,Salute to you,
In this set up bro how many chickens on that coop..
Nice content

Still looks like a prison.
I've had farm eggs like this...they are so much better tasting than the store eggs.
Great videos there! Just wondering how can you train the hen to lay eggs in the house/nesting box?
They don't need training. They come in soon as it gets dark outside...then they lay first thing in the morning before we let them outdoor.
What’s that egg collection thingy called. Is there a web site for that
Don’t worry just saw the link
So; The chicken does come before the Egg? How nice.
Are you going to show us the one on the very very top
This nestbox looks like it cost a lot, where did you buy it and how much did it cost if you don't mine me asking?
