I don't advise using an old paint brush on the motherboard memory. You could fry something. If you already have 8gb of ram, just buy another 8gb ddr3 sodimm. 🤷♂️ I'd highly recommend upgrading that hard drive to an SSD before upgrading the graphics card. Make sure your buying the low profile versions of the graphics card if you have a low profile PC. While you have it open you might want to check or replace the thermal paste on the processor.
theres plenty of videos on RUclips on how to do that i don't have a wifi card to do that if i ever get one i will do it its not hard to do the other slot above were i installed the video card is were you put the wifi card with a oem fitting then most wifi card come with drivers disk download its drives then your good

i didn't i used the i5 6500 that came with the pc when i got it you can change it to the 6700 i7 if you want so i assume only thing i didn't change was the hdd hard drive to a ssd all i did was stick a gt 1030 video card and some more ram in it over the stalk 8 gigs of ram with 2 8 gig sticks of ram in dual dim slot channels to boost its performance a bit

you can't use that card in the small form factor case you can use it in the 3040 midtower it takes up 2 pcie 3.0 x 16 oem lames you can stuff it in the midtower version of this pc hope this helps
only if you case swopped its mother board in a bigger case and at least a based 500 watt power supply a rx 580 gpu wouldn't fit in here and the 250 watt psu in it would blow with that card your better off getting someone to make you a descent gaming prebuild if you want to run that gpu
no if your is the ssf model the 3040 sff don't have enough space for the video card slot in between the psu it would cut off the air flow from the cards fan and psu and burn your card and pc out go with the low profile rx 550 0r the rx 6400 or a gt 1030 or a 730 or 710 but try the rx 6400 its the best low profile out on the market for these ssf pc hope this helps

what any 88 millimeter after market intel cooler and fan should work for it with a new case if you chose to case swap it and you can clean the thermal paste as well under the cooler

yes but you will have to use a low profile video card in it like the gt 1030 the rx 550 or the rx6400 the ssd is fine id would go with a 1tb tho for more storge the sff don't have another sata or power hook up on the mother board unless you remove the disk drive then you can use a ssd hard drive disk caddy to run 2 hard drives at once
@@miguelangel26299 if you got the midtower version and have enough room you can put in a rx 480 with a molox to 8 pin cable adptor or gt 1050 ti or a rx 6400 rx 550 rx 560 or a gt 1070 or a rx 16500 rx6500 rx 5500 gt 1660 super but if you got the sff version of the 3040 you can't fit a big video card in it you can get away with using the gt 1030 or the gt 730 or the rx 6400 low profile version or the gt 710 hope this helps it is all i can think of off hand

it wont i have a gt1030 in mine witch is a way more modern video card then the gt 730 in mine with 16 gigs of ram im typeing to you on it as we speak and mine has been working for a year with no problem the 730 and 16gigs will be ok in yours

you can fit a older 4th gen 9020 sff 315 watt power supply in the 3040 mt to upgrade it with some miner moding it won't fit perfert but they have been known to work on the midtower version on the 3040 heres a link to one www.ebay.com/itm/353714036096

just remove your old hard drive sata to power cable from your old hard drive and have a flash drive stick with winows 10 installed on it easy peasy
