ISIS are actually considered "khawarij" and will most certainly go to hell according to the hadith. I think you're talking about if you're about to die and you know it, you can recite a part of the shahada and be accepted into paradise. See standard sunni creeds such as Aqeedha tahawiyyah and other shia counterparts dealing with soteriology saying the same. I haven't met any muslim who know their religion deny it(except quranists who are mostly universalists) . Remember there are also multiple sahih hadiths that mentions allah will replace muslims who spend in hell with christians and jews like these
Abu Burda reported on the authority of his father that Allah's Apostle said: No Muslim would die but Allah would admit IN HIS STEAD a Jew or a Christian in Hell-Fire. 'Umar b. Abd al-'Aziz took an oath: By One besides Whom there is no god but He, thrice that his father had narrated that to him from Allah's Messenger. (Sahih Muslim, Book 037, Number 6666)
Abu Burda reported Allah's Messenger as saying: There would come people amongst the Muslims on the Day of Resurrection with AS HEAVY SINS AS A MOUNTAIN, and Allah would FORGIVE THEM and He would PLACE IN THEIR STEAD the Jews and the Christians. (As far as I think), Abu Raub said: I do not know as to who is in doubt. Abu Burda said: I narrated it to 'Umar b. This is absolutely the case. It applies perhaps mostly to politics and religion, but it can be seen in almost anything.
But on the topic of the first two, I see it all the time. I see people who will vehemently fight for their politics and religion (or lack thereof) and refuse to consider any other point of view. And the most important thing to realize is that all groups do this. I've seen Christians do it, and I've seen Atheists do the same. I've seen Conservatives do it, and the same for Liberals. Communists? Muslims? Environmentalists? A bully I see in a particular comments section who spends all his time mocking and belittling anyone who dares to have a different political opinion? Yes to all of those. You can find people in all such groups who are actually open-minded, but most, it seems, are convinced that there's no evidence for any other beliefs.
The fact is that it's human nature, and that means that all of us are subject to it even though most of us try to simply blame it on the group of people we disagree with.

@bastiat so? This wasn't a quote about socialism.

    • @monkkeygawd
      @monkkeygawd 2 года назад

@bastiat again, I'm not an atheist nor a socialist... I like the pertinent quote. But, if you want to get into "failed" ideologies, let's talk Christianity... Christianity is a fable culminatingin blood magic and human sacrifice, which can be disproven by utilizing common sense and seeing where it leads. Please seriously read Dr Richard Carrier's peer reviewed book on the historicity of Jesus... the evidence for Jesus's existence is VERY iffy and nearly nonexistent, despite traditional views... mythicism has a LOT OF crackpots claiming ridiculous things, BUT Carrier is not a Crank. His studies are meticulous and open minded and the conclusions were shocking even to HIM (Carrier). I'm a former Christian, but have ZERO animosity towards the Faith (my wife's father is a Hindu turned Protestant minister in Northeastern India), but Christianity makes no sense to me personally. In my past, I WANTED Christianity to be true so badly, but when I investigated it obsessively to PROVE it, I realized it was not only NOT provable, but not even likely to be true. If Christianity soothes a person and motivates them to be giving, loving people, then I'm all for it. But, when Christians get under the spell that they are the only way and all others are damned, etc, then that is a spiritual immaturity that needs ironed out, or else is divisive and counterproductive to LOVE (out of ignorance). The real truth is that Consciousness Itself is Primal and we live in a nondualistic reality... matter, people, and everything which can be perceived is INSIDE Consciousness... all is in the One Mind, such as when our dream avatars play out their parts in the dreamer’s dream. No need for redemption or reward, because all is "God" playing out the roles of the universe. God is the only "doer" and is all there ultimately is. We are literally God wearing the various masks of our seemingly individual egos. All is merely play. If curious what the heck I'm speaking of, please research Bernardo Kastrup (for a modern perspective on nondualism), or read Alan Watts ("The Book") or delve into Advaita Vedanta via the principle Upanishads of Sanatana Dharma (Nondual Hinduism).
      Peace ✌️

If Charbel Raish is telling the truth then it is very sad that the Muslims he interacted with were not practicing their faith properly. Each time the Muslims took Jerusalem they restored the places of Jewish and Christian worship and in fact invited Jews to come live there from far away places. This was the opposite of what non-Muslims did, which was to pillage the city and massacre all the Jews. ruclips.net/video/M5cL11dps4Y/видео.html That is what the religion of Islam teaches. "Allah does not forbid you from dealing kindly and fairly with those who have neither fought nor driven you out of your homes. Surely Allah loves those who are fair. Allah only forbids you from befriending those who have fought you for ˹your˺ faith, driven you out of your homes, or supported ˹others˺ in doing so. And whoever takes them as friends, then it is they who are the ˹true˺ wrongdoers." [Quran 60:8-9].

Maybe it is just my perception but it seems to me that people (in the United States, at least) are becoming more and more attracted to preachers and teachers who are more interested in condemning people with whom they disagree than in actually helping people learn about the beliefs and practices (and maybe the history) of a variety of religious groups or organizations.

Christianity's ultimate truth has always been Islam's ultimate heresy- the idea that God incarnated Himself as a human being. There is absolutely no reconciliation from a theological standpoint where it can only be one or the other. It is not about not understanding them, it's that they are fundamentally incompatible belief systems, and in one sense, one side wants to destroy the other because they believe them to be committing the ultimate blasphemy.

    • @rogermetzger7335
      @rogermetzger7335 2 года назад

@@slossboss I believe the God of Moses became incarnate. I consider myself a Christian. (When you read my next sentence, you can decide for yourself whether I’m a Christian.) Christians are people who are learning to trust the Lord, even if they haven’t subscribed to your understanding or mine of who Jesus is.
When the day of Pentecost was fully come, the apostles (Acts 1:2), the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and...his brethren (Acts 2:14) were all with one accord in one place. They considered Jesus to be the Messiah that had been foretold by the Hebrew prophets of antiquity. Because they were well acquainted with the Hebrew Bible, they probably had a better concept of the God of Moses than most of the people who call themselves Christians today but I have never believed that the reception of the Holy Spirit was predicated on whether they were willing to affirm any particular creed.
I find it difficult to think of people as a Christians who wish to destroy Muslims “because they believe them (the Muslims) to be committing the ultimate blasphemy.”
There are a variety of attitudes among professed Christians toward Hebrews but, in this context, it is appropriate to note that the majority of “observant” Hebrews believe what Muslims do about the doctrine that Jesus is divine. That many professed Christians use the phrase “Judeo-Christian” is evidence that disagreement about the divinity of Jesus doesn’t need to result in people wishing to destroy each other.

There is an English Muslim man who wrote a book telling his conversion story to Catholicism and thanks God he felt in the hands of the Neri people, in the Oratory order, they are very good explaining Catholicism, if he would have been in the hands of B. BARRON, probably he would be more confused by now and not longer a Catholic. We always as Catholics have discussions about what is the worst of the sins, and I changed my view through i got older and of course I Read Aquinas and St Augustine and so on, but to me and because what I see around me, I think " to use the name of God in vain or for bad things" is the worst of the sins. I know people who literally never would be Catholic because of all the bad Catholics they encountered , it is a contradiction or should be, to be bad and to be Catholic, and do bad things in the name of God.

This might be random as heck but I’ll ask anyway. Does ANYONE know if there is like a national/global data base of Nuns? My grandfathers sister has been a Nun for probably 60-70 or more years. Last I heard she was still alive down in South America. This was when my grandmother passed away in 2016-2017. I would love to know about her. I have never even seen a photo. I’m trying hard and can’t find anything. Maybe I’ll contact the Vatican? Odds are she became a Nun in Brooklyn NY.
Thinking about this made me start to realize how I have a feeling within another generation I don’t think there will be any American born nuns. Americans are becoming more and more godless as time passes. This is coming from someone who was born into a very religious Roman Catholic family who never was confirmed or any of that. I’m not religious but I understand how important it is. Imagine NY used to be Irish and Italian god fearing men and women. And now it’s a bunch of godless maniacs. Nothing wrong with not believing. I feel like I’m big cities religion isn’t what it used to be. Maybe I’m wrong and I hope I am.

I like and appreciate the respectful way he is talking, and I will definitely be listening more to him, But that is such a generalized view he has!
I am a 30 years old Muslim who lived across different Islamic cultures and communities. Of course, you have "those" Muslims. But you also have "those" Christians, atheists, Buddhists ... etc. So just because you have some anecdotes about a specific community means nothing.
The second point next to his anecdotes is the historical acts. The history of the catholic church speaks for itself here. But does it say for most Christians? Would most Christians be ok with dragging me to the darkest dungeons of the Inquisition for torture? Again, "Generalization" is not an argument.
I can't imagine if all my non-muslim friends, colleagues, and neighbors believed that. All of them would be scared of me for nothing, a typical consequence of generalization.
Again, I appreciate the respectful way. I also agree with his point about leaving emotions as much as possible out of conversations like this. Provoking people serves nothing but make them more defensive.

The attitude of moderate Muslims does not matter when the supremacy mentality is directly because of the primary sources of Islam (Quran and Hadiths). We have 1,400 years of historical context. The endgame of Islam from the beginning has been to impose sharia law to the world and for everyone to recognize the supremacy of Islam. The Quran and Hadiths are clear about this endgame. Christianity does not have this problem . Our message is very different to Islam. You can not justify southern Baptist hateful rhetoric from the example of Christ or writings of the Apostles and the Church Fathers.
Islam failed. A legitimate caliphate (successor to Muhammad) will never ever return. However we Christians should never forget our 1,400 year old history with Islam. The best thing we can do is to zealously evangelize Muslims, they need to be saved from their false prophet.

    • @rasecphd
      @rasecphd 2 года назад +7

@@exquofonte "Dialogue" is the key phrase here Mike. The average Muslim could care less about dialoging with Christians. Why? Because there are very few Christians allowed to live or own property in Muslim nations because of differences in permissible rights. Most Muslim nations treat their Christian minorities as second class citizens, of course with a few rare exceptions rather than the rule.
So your proposed argument about listening to what the average Muslim thinks about Christians is a moot point. Since the average Muslim doesn't interact with Christians. Of interest however, should be what these Muslim leaders or clerics in madrassas are inculcating in their general population. Something tells me, that from that you'll get what the 'average' Muslim thinks. And by that I'm proposing that on the mean...it would be fair to say that 'dialoging' with Christians isn't high on their priority list.

Is anyone brave enough to have a discussion about the origins and similarities between Islam and Judaism? Of the Abrahamic faiths the two that are most similar are Judaism and Islam. That shouldn't really be a surprise as the origin of Islam is Mohammed and what did he do? He went into the desert, took some DMT, claimed he had a visit from angels and then re-wrote the Torah and Talmud.
The whole foundation of Islam is bogus as it relies on the premise that God left his work unfinished, that God made a mistake and that only Muslims have been given the full picture. What utter nonsense. Mohammed was just a man on drugs who edited the Jewish teachings to his liking. This possibly explains the extreme animosity between Jews and Muslims, they are the same thing but with great emphasis put on certain opposites. Specifically the Muslims want to go out and conquer the world making everyone a Muslim. There are different rules for how a Muslim should treat a Muslim as opposed to a Christian or Jew. The Jews are exactly the same with their rules and regulations distinguishing between Jew and non-Jew, the difference with Islam being the Jews don't want to take over the world and make everybody Jewish, the Jews want to exist in splendid isolation from the rest of us, as overlords
The most classic and important example in the last 500 years of this phenomenon is the advent of finance and usury as we understand it in the 21st Century. The first bankers were the "banchieri" of Italy, the "bench Jews" who were relegated to the ghettos by the Italian Christians. It was illegal and punishable by death for a Christian to charge a Christian interest. It is immoral and against Jewish teaching for a Jew to take advantage of another Jew with usury or unfair business practice. But the Jews thought it was totally fine for a Jew to charge a Christian or a Muslim interest, thus the Medici dynasty got the ball rolling, followed by the Rothschilds, both of whose empires were built upon usury of Jew against Christian
These differences remain to this day in that classic Islamic banking does not permit usury or the charging of interest (there are certain mechanisms to effectively charge a premium without it specifically being interest, e.g. 0% loan but with an admin fee).
The Jews of course are disproportionately represented in the upper echelons of European and American finance, with the Fed Chair being a cultist position held almost exclusively by Jews. There has been only 1 non-Jewish Fed Chair since at least as far back as 1970. That man is Jerome Powell who we can probably conclude only got that job due to Trump, who is neurologically divergent (the POTUS appoints Fed Chair). How do we explain that the most important people in finance are all Jewish over a 50-year period when the Jewish population in the United States is only 2.4%. You don't need to be a mathematician to see something crony and corrupt is going on when only Jews seem to be considered for the top jobs. Of course the primary reason only Jews are considered is because Jews make up a disproportionately large section of the financial sector (the Fed is privately owned by the banks within each Federal jurisdiction, and the majority of the CEOs at banks are Jews, so you have a board of Jews electing only Jews, basically)

I read the comment that we are carnivores, No Christ taught take this it was bread in his Hand and eat it for this is my body and drink for this is my blood, it’s the way he died in the cross, when we take communion we believe that we are eating the body blood soul and the divinity of Christ, look upon utube of miracles of some communion turning to blood and another one with a heartbeat. But In church we eat a wafer round and white and the blood is wine, but once the priest blessing it becomes the living God why do you think people who practice satanic rituals want to come and steel the communion so they can desecrate it. Jesus left us this gift but not to be taken likely when you take it you have to be in a condition of grace, like people who live together are living in sin and so many other to explain if you take communion without being in a state of grace your condemning yourself. Yea

    I will comment as Muslim.
    we Muslims, christians and jews....
See Religion as hope and love and solace.
But in reality God is the one who is going to judge each one of us for their deeds.
We must not judge or insult or mistreat or disrespect anyone.
But when it comes to "The religion of God" the true one.
    In case of Islam:
The Muslims view christians as "people of the book" means the people who fellow the bible. And this the same thing for jews (Torah) (pslam of David) and Samaritans ...ect. they're also people of the book.
They're concidered as our brothers and sisters in the right path.
But only believers who don't believe in Trinity and don't associate with God any partner.
But Islam, doesn't recognize the religion Christianity and Judaism, and conciders them as human traditions after modifying the laws of God.
These two word are not mentioned in the Qur'an.
The Qur'an only mentions people and the holy books because according to Islam.
These people and the all the prophets and the holy books are Islamic books.
Because the first prophets in Islam are Adam and Eve and the last prophet of Islam is Muhammed.
This how Islam views christians and jews and also this how Islam views Christianity and Judaism.

Now might be a good time to point out that some Gnostic communities seem to have believed in a female Holy Spirit, a sort of Mother figure to go along with the Father and Son.)
Mary is the virgin whom no power has defiled... Whoever of the powers (attempts to) defile this virgin, such powers are merely defiling themselves. And the Lord would not have said “My Father who is in Heaven”, unless he had had another father, but he would have said simply “My father”.
To recap: Mary was always virgin, indefilable, and so was not impregnated by the Spirit-not to mention that the Holy Spirit is female, and a lesbian divine impregnation is just not believable. Instead, Jesus has two fathers, one in Heaven and one not-in-Heaven, and presumably the not-in-Heaven one is the inseminator, but despite having two fathers, Jesus’ mother was still a virgin. Glad we cleared that one up.

Well tbh there is a difference between sinning and full on denying the faith and practicing a different religion. Also everyone sins but it's ok to point out when something is a sin. How else would people stop doing it? Part of loving your neighbor is desiring Heaven and not Hell for them. I do think people could go about these discussions differently such as by talking about what they love about their faith. But still.

      Numbers 23:19 "God is not a man…"
Hosea 11:9 "...For I am God, and not man..."
Jesus is called a man many times in the Bible:
John 8:40 "…a man who has told you the truth…"
Acts 2:22 "Jesus the Nazarene, a man attested to you by God with miracles and wonders and signs which God performed through Him in your midst, just as you yourselves know."
Acts 17:31 "He will judge the world in righteousness through a man whom He has appointed"
      1.Tim. 2:5 "…the man Christ Jesus."
John 14:28 "My Father is greater than I."
John 10:29 "My father is greater than all."
Luke 11:2 "When you pray, say Our Father which art in heaven."
John 16:23 "In that day, you shall ask me nothing. Whatsoever you ask of the Father in my name."
John 4:23 "The hour cometh and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth; for the Father seeketh such to worship him."
John 17:3 "…that they might know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent."
Jesus prayed to God all night:
Luke 6:12 "he continued all night in prayer to God."
Hebrews 5:7 "During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with loud cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission."
Who was Jesus praying to when he fell on his face with loud cries and petitions? Was it himself? Was Jesus crying in tears to himself pleading to be saved from death? No man, sane or insane, prays to himself! Surely the answer must be a resounding ‘No.’ Jesus was praying to "the only true God." Jesus was the servant of the One Who sent him. Can there be a clearer proof that Jesus was not God?
The Quran confirms that Jesus called for the worship of the Only True God:
"Truly, God is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him (alone). This is the straight path." (Quran 3:51)

@@kaya1481 Notice how you never addressed what the text says that I presented. Is or is it not scripture?
That is why cross referencing and establishing context is so important. In fact the principle is in the text. It says truth is establishing in the mouth of two or three. That is why God always sent two or more prophets to give his word in the old testament. Jesus said there is no God beside me. In other words He is God and the Father is also God is they must be one.
You know Jesus is also called the NAIL in Isaiah talking about the work of the cross to come right? God told Moses to build the tabernacle with every pole holding up the wall of the tabernacle had silver and brass on it speaking of redemption and suffering, the pole of wood speaks of his physical flesh his body it is acacia wood meaning eternal flesh the rope connected to the pole is made out of goats hair that had 11 strands of it in the rope, 11 is the number of destruction and goats hair speaks of sin, he destroyed our sin. The nail in the ground connected to the rope is brass, God said it should only be half way in the ground and half way out. Jesus is called the nail in Isaiah, and half in half out means he died and rose again.
Every year the high priest would go into the holy of holies in the tabernacle remember? What did the high priest do before that? Made the sacrifice at the alter and DIPPED the bottom of his robe in the BLOOD of the sacrifice then WALKED to EVERY piece of furniture. The laver, lamp stand, table of shobread, incense, then holy of holies the ark. All the pieces of furniture were positioned in the giant shape of a cross throughout the whole grounds of the tabernacle. The high priest walking to each dragging blood made a giant blood CROSS on the ground if viewed from above. This clearly speaks of Jesus and his perfect sacrifice on the cross. Is Isaiah and Moses scripture or not?
Jesus, God is found throughout all the old testament. Look at God telling Israel to look at the serpent on the pole to be healed. That is sin destroyed on the cross. Or Joseph being betrayed by his 11 brothers and being put in a hole for 3 days then taken out. That is Jesus being betrayed by all the disciples and dying for 3 days and being resurrected. Or Abraham and Issac, son carrying wood to be sacrificed on up the hill. Son obeying will of Father. And so on and so on. Is that all not scripture or not? Jesus revealed himself to man all along. The name Jesus as Jesus said is the name of God given at the burning bush which was Jesus. Je= IAM, sus= from moses fulfilling prophecy the second half coming form the name of moses. The name Jesus means GOD WHO SAVES BY WATER. Jesus is called the living water, the Word.
Secondly the scripture you wrote can be understood looking at the context. Jesus is both man AND God. The Father is not the Son, the Son is not the Spirit, the Spirit is not the Father and so on. They are all individual persons and one God. The Father, Son, Spirit are all equal in nature, different in relationship. You can google a page that establishes this for each member of the trinity possessing the full nature of God. Scriptures to show the Father, Son and Holy Spirit each individually are all powerful, all present, all knowing, eternal/unchanging.
