Thanks so much! Great cruise hacks. I've used all of your recommendations. One thing I would suggest are wipes. I use them to wipe the telephone and TV remote, and they're handy for wiping down your tray table and other areas around your airline seat.
One of my favorite items are the L and XL "Ziploc" bags. They work great to hold damp clothes, dirty shoes/clothes, and as a "washer" if I need to hand wash something in a pinch. I can also use it as a vacuum bag for bulky items. Just fill the bag with clothes, sit on it and zip it up. Instant space saver ;)
I had brought a large Ziploc for some reason. I don’t know why with me on a trip it contained something.. when I was packing to go home. I had extra T-shirts for friends so I folded them up and put them in the Ziploc got the air out and they went in my bag easily!
I was just at Dollar Tree yesterday 😊 They carry the laundry sheets! It's laundry soap in (dry) sheets. 10 in the pack. Great to bring along for doing sink laundry. NO other stores carry them. Thank you for reminding me about decorations. Now I have to go back. Hehe it's walking distance...
I go to Dollar Tree at once or twice a week. You'll always find great deals. More travel bottles and personal products. The make up isle is a hot one with loads of different products, some a hit or miss. Don't mind buying sunscreen or medications if I was on a really tight budget or if I just needed it. It does work but I do have preferences for name brands as well. The Dollar Plus section you can find beach and summer items like beach bags and towels. The quality is good and it's not more than $5.
I love finding travel gems at the Dollar Tree. I have to wear readers now that I am of a certain age, and the Dollar Tree has readers that are sunglasses. These are great for when I am reading on the beach, pool deck, or balcony. Thank you for all your travel tips!
Love those Dollar Tree readers! Some last longer than others but I have several around the house and just re-stock as needed! I have to keep my eye out for reader sun glasses! Lois
Also I like the empty bottle and zip lock bags to fill from larger bottles any tips on how to pack on princess from Vancouver Canada any thing specifically needed thanks
I was just at the Dollar Tree today shopping for our Enchanted Princess cruise on Saturday. I bought those exact thank you cards. Always love your content.
I like the folders with a zipper pockets. Sometimes hard to find in D T. when I fine any , I will stock up on them. My daughter in law shared this with me.
Just found and subscribed to you! We take several cruises a year and i love finding content anything cruise related! We are taking our first Alaska cruise trip this July! Any tips would be appreciated 😊 weve never had to pack warm for a cruise so its a whole new experience for me 😂❤🥰😍
Great video. Here in Canada we have Dollar Tree, Dollarama, and some small independent shops. Dollar Tree does not get all the great finds that the US stores have but sometimes I can find treasures and I like that everything is $1.25. 😃 Dollarama stores get a lot of useful stuff but the price varies anywhere from $1.25 - $5.00.
Yes but dollar tree in Canada is most items at 1.50 and now more items at 2.00 - still some great deals. The other store in some parts of Canada is the Canadian dollar store (or something like that) and prices can start at 1.00 and go up to 80.00 on some specific items. And then Dollarama as stated which is the more common one
HOLY COW!!! I JUST WATCHED A NCL COMMERCIAL AND IT WAS YOOOUUU!!! 😆 I recognized your voice and was like wait a minute... that sounds like cruise tips TV! And then yes there you were!!! So awesome!!! Congratulations!!! That definitely was awesome and unexpected!!! So cool 😎
I have found the Dollar General near us to have some great travel finds. When I travel with kids I stock up on lots of small entertainment items that I can wrap individually and that can then be opened at intervals throughout the plane or car ride. Puzzles, books, small action figures, and mini card games are favorites.
Thanks so much, I love shopping at the Dollar Tree by me on Long Island. Looking forward to your comments about your Alaska cruise. We're booked on a Princess Alaskan cruise next June. Definitely a bucket list item. Happy cruising to you and family!
You hit the nail on the buying toiletries at Dollar Tree. As a person who has to travel for work, I quickly realized that toiletries can sometimes cost you more than $20 and that is for things you might only use for a few days.
We are getting ready to do a long haul flight and 12 day cruise. Venice to Barcelona. So I have made a little travel bag for my friends. I got the reusable quart size bag at the DT. I then gave everyone a bag of body wipes and cleaning wipes. Then in the bag they got 2 ink pens some Carmex, Kleenex, packages of hand sanitizer breath strips the Colgate wisps. A roll of the doggie bags and a homemade stain remover pen. Hopefully I didn’t forget anything
Great tips. But personally I use ziploc bags for things like make up wipes and wet wipes from larger packages at home, marked with a sharpie so I don't mix them up. And, travel bottles for the toiletries rather than buying the travel size.
That's a great idea! Thank you so much for sharing. I used my LabelMaker to label some of my little baggies this last trip and it worked out great. I put stuff in there like liquid IV and cough drops and things and it was nice because the whole family could find them. Hope you have a wonderful week.
Fold flat fabric storage organizer for shelves in cruise ships, shower poofs, foil wraps, soft soap, hand sanitizers…always stop on way to cruise port or resort hotels. Gladware plastic storage containers for leftovers☺️
I have two of these collapsible bins for that very purpose. Right now, I keep my travel paraphernalia in them but on my cruise next Spring, I'll be packing them to use in my stateroom....for shoes, dirty clothes and other odds and ends.
I use the tealights as nightlights too. I tend to get the brand name OTC meds at Family Dollar since they usually have more of a selection than Dollar Tree. I'd love to see a video looking at Aldi or Lidl for travel.
I have a dollar general, family dollar, & dollar tree near me but I never shop at any of those stores for travel size items because the quantity is too low for the amount of each travel size items that need & the price is way more for the same travel size items that I find at other stores near me & most of the travel size items that I pack for a cruise is things that I buy in a regular size that I use all year & I put those items in travel bottles & pack them in my toiletry bag/carryon bag.
So glad you asked. #1 - I like Dollar Tree - but our $1 Tree is now $1.25 - what! I know inflation, but because of that sometimes the travel section at Walmart is better - maybe $.97 cents. I agree with party supplies and your take on trusted named products for sunscreen and supplements. We used the big clips like you showed on our girls trip in 2019 because I saw an earlier video about towel clips by you and others. Love your content and how you show today vs yesterday - things change and our approach to cruising is changing. Since you are in Texas now, I'm curious... have you done an end to end on cruising out of Galveston? If so maybe I missed it and should go look. Example, driving to port same day? Or still going early because of traffic? Parking options, etc.
I’m in Southern California I have several dollar trees near me. Dollar General is not in my area and the $.99 store which is closing all of its stores. Our friend of mine told me recently but a former CEO of one of the discount stores is going to be taking over the $.99 stores. We’ll see what happens. One of the things I used to always buy at the $.99 store was coconut water. One of the things that I stopped buying for cruising is mini tubes of toothpaste. Instead, I bought toothpaste that is dry. Save space when I have to do carry-on only.
I love the jumbo clips. I use them for towel clips. They work great but since they’re from Dollar Tree I don’t worry about them if they get lost or broken. They’re a great deal!
Dollar Trees are in Coachella Valley, CA. I found your channel pre COVID and jumped on the dollar 🌲 band wagon for travel essentials due to your recommendations. I like to look for the little crossword and word search puzzle books that keep me occupied while traveling to the ports.
My dollar tree sells small packs of laundry detergent and I always grab a couple to do light laundry in the bathroom sink… also ziplock bags & small hand cream tins🕶️☀️✈️🛳️
We always buy a bottle of hand soap from Dollar Tree. I don't like the bar soap and at the end of the week I just throw the bottle in the trash. No need to pack it home!
In Canada. We have two Dollaramas in my town. I have to travel an hour to a dollar tree. We bought the towel clips for our first cruise never used them have never bought them since.
We are also going on a cruise to Alaska soon. We are going on the Discovery Princess August 24th. When are you going and on which ship? We have a Dollar Tree.
I like the mesh laundry bag. Takes no space and is very easy to carry on laundry day. I pack laundry soap pods in a plastic bag in my tea travel mug. When I get to the ship, soap goes at the bottom of laundry bad and my tea mug is ready to use.
I take lots of supplements from the Dollar Tree. I also buy sun screen, it all works great and have the same ingredients. I do not buy many water bottles, I will get them for the grand kids because they loose them and at the price I don't care. Your son has gotten so big.
Here in southern Ontario Canada we have Dollarama and Dollar Tree. I have a number of things you've mentioned already stashed away for our Boston to Montreal in June. But since were traveling by train and bus to get to Boston, I'll be picking up snacks closer to the date (less chance of hubby, our sons or grandsons helping themselves and asking while their mouth is half full of whatever they found). I bought our water bottles from Walmart, though. Something nice and sturdy.
i have curly hair so I usually pick up disposable shower caps for my shoes to not get my clothes dirty in my suitcase and for my hair mask that will be necessary after a lot of time in the ocean/pool/on deck. 100% on the toothpaste!@ perfect size for a week away from home.
For our last cruise I got a foldable laundry bin - will never Cruise without it in the future. Also, picked up several small single load powdered laundry soap and managed to bring 1 less suitcase 😊.
Canada 🇨🇦 has their own version of Dollar Tree where everything is $1.25 cdn but it doesn't have the selection yours do. We also have Dollarama where things can be priced up to $5cdn. There are other chains too, but those two are the big nationwide ones.
Yes! Recently we stocked up on the Dollar Tree first aid items just for travel, instead of raiding our home first aid kit every time we leave lol. I’ve looked at their drink cups and insulated mugs and nah I wouldn’t trust them either. Thanks for tips!
How about a video on how to get prepared in the way of figuring out how and what to pack for carry on and how to have enough stuff without over packing.
I hear ya about not buying sunscreen at the Dollar Store. I made that mistake several years ago for my birthday weekend while camping and came back burned beyond belief despite applying and reapplying regularly. Topher and I buy our sunscreen on Amazon because certain brands are covered by my Health Flex Spending Account and they work fantastic. I never considered the Dollar Store for travel snacks. Topher and I have a long flight from SFO to Stockholm coming up in just over 100 days...I may need to swing by our local Dollar Tree or Dollar General and see what they have.
I purchase the closet foldable cubes at the dollar store and bring one or two with me to keep my shoes in. I will buy things to decorate my door with. I have in the past bought the big clips for the towels, however I have now switched to the towel bands. I also buy their scarfs on occasion. If you leave them somewhere no big loss! (Not that I have ever done that😂) We have all the dollar type stores near me.
In Delaware there is Dollar Tree, Dollar General, and Family Dollar stores. However, the Dollar Tree has much much more of the smaller travel items like you showed.
I live near Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and we have lots of Dollar Tree stores around here. Some of them are bigger and have more merchandise than others. I’ve learned which are the best ones to go to! We also have Dollar General, but I prefer shopping at Dollar Tree. Yes, please make more shopping videos! I love to shop! 🤣. I’m going to Dollar Tree tomorrow to look for the battery-powered tea lights for our cruise to Alaska this summer!
I just saw you talking with Ilana on the Life Well Cruised video, and yours just showed up on my RUclips feed! New subscriber here! I live in the Houston, Texas 🤠 area, and we have Dollar Tree, Dollar General, and Family Dollar. None of the ones near my house look as good as, or are stocked as well as yours. If there’s something specific I’m looking for, I have to drive to multiple stores to find it.
Some dollar trees have reusable silicone bags in the kitchen isle that you can use for snacks or toiletries. Also, sometimes they have travel size reusable bottles to fill with your favorite shampoo or creams. 😊
Dollar Tree is great to purchase magnetic hooks for cabins, thank you cards / I’ve purchased so many items for my travels and have saved so much money!
Your videos and tips never disappoint! There is an amazing array of items at Dollar Tree and Dollar General. There are some YT channels dedicated to using items in creative ways that are astonishing. Another item I would add to not purchase is the off brand batteries. They do not last very long and are not worth it.
We have Dollar Trees around us here in cali❤ Thanks for sharing your tips they’re always helpful 😊 I tend to find a lot things in the travel section and I also like to get name brand health care goodies, oh and snacks too! Btw love those watermelon 🍉 glasses 🤓I’d like to see some more videos for sure 😊 Rebecca
So I live in small town Texas 60 miles from the nearest Walmart. We have all three, Dollar Tree, Dollar General, and Family Dollar. I love your DT videos! I also like to take my extracare bucks from cvs and get some of the travel stuff there for basically free while I'm picking up any of the meds I'm gonna take.
Thank you so much for your video. It was very helpful, but I already knew about the sticky notes those plastic pins the 15th and the toothpaste and those little tea lights. But gave me health and other things thank you again.❤

In the U.K. 🇬🇧 we have Poundland, I like to get ziploc bags and plastic containers to store snacks that I get from buffet to eat in my cabin later. Whilst I don’t spend more than approx £20 (25 US) at Poundland, I spend ages there looking at all the interesting bits they have. Loved this vid and would enjoy seeing more like this. 👍🏾😁
Dollar Tree is the 💣! I love their snacks, sandwich containers for midnight snacks in the room (from the buffet), travel size items, and especially their seasonal decor and use it to make decorations for the stateroom. 🥳🫶🏼💃🏼🛳️
Loved the thank you card idea. We are sailing on Emerald Princess on May 20...already have cash for tips, but the card idea is fantastic. Wife goes to Dollar Tree almost every Monday with one of our neighbors!
Btw, BPA-free does not guarantee the plastic is safe. Lots of BPA-free plastics use BPS, which is just as bad, but hasn't gotten as much bad press. Bring your ceramic or metal mug instead.
What Dollar Tree did you go to. The ones by my house always looks like a bunch of drunk toddlers had a party there. Thanks for the tips, I’ll have to give it a shot before our next cruise.
Love, love, love the watermelon sunglasses! I'm running out to get some today if they have any! I always get the toothpaste, have a stockpile of it. Meerikal's tip on ziplocs is good too. Does anyone else have a "travel section" in their home?

I take those, too, but I’ve never thought to use them as an emergency washing “machine”! That’s a fantastic idea!

Shower caps to put my shoes in
I pack Walmart bags for this!
☮ We like to bring the disposable coffee cups with lids so we aren't stuck with a mug all morning as we're walking around the ship. ☮
I always hit the Dollar Tree before I cruise. I always find handy and interesting stuff
Dollar tree is the BEST place to get cruise items!!! Yes!! More shop with me and pack with me videos! You are the queen of these ❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much!!
I like to bring a puzzle book, small size or coloring book, for the travel time.
I go to Dollar Tree at once or twice a week. You'll always find great deals. More travel bottles and personal products. I can't find reader sunglasses at my local DT but I DID score a great deal on TEMU: Four different colored reader sunglasses for less than $6!
Magnet hooks and clips to attach things to stateroom walls! Dollar General has them in the "hardware" section!
I don’t know how i missed these!
Glow sticks and other items for kids and adults to participate in themed activities ❤
Yes, more shopping videos
Also I like the empty bottle and zip lock bags to fill from larger bottles any tips on how to pack on princess from Vancouver Canada any thing specifically needed thanks
I was just at the Dollar Tree today shopping for our Enchanted Princess cruise on Saturday. I bought those exact thank you cards. Always love your content.
I love Dollar Tree! Ive found that PopShelf also has great cruise items for low prices.
I like the folders with a zipper pockets. Sometimes hard to find in D T. when I fine any , I will stock up on them. My daughter in law shared this with me.
Great idea!!
Just found and subscribed to you! We take several cruises a year and i love finding content anything cruise related! We are taking our first Alaska cruise trip this July! Any tips would be appreciated 😊 weve never had to pack warm for a cruise so its a whole new experience for me 😂❤🥰😍

We have Dollar Trees, Dollar generals (everywhere) and Family Dollar. Thank You ❤️ for this!

I buy space tape at DT, also known as Alien tape. I use this to put signs on my cabin door. It works great and doesn't damage the door.

Aaaaw, thank you! I still haven't seen it mysefl!
I have found the Dollar General near us to have some great travel finds. When I travel with kids I stock up on lots of small entertainment items that I can wrap individually and that can then be opened at intervals throughout the plane or car ride. Puzzles, books, small action figures, and mini card games are favorites.

YES, for sure!!!!!!!!
I love the collapsible hampers, they are good quality and hold up well.
Love it!
I have 5 Dollar Trees near my house. I buy most of my cleaning supplies there. I always buy the party goods and stationery supplies.
Magnets/hooks for walls
We have a dt and dg in the same building. You have to watch out because some items are in both halves and there is a price difference!
For my cruises I buy the laundry foldable bags, zip loc baggies, and also first aid supplies
I love the jumbo clips. I use them for towel clips. They work great but since they’re from Dollar Tree I don’t worry about them if they get lost or broken. They’re a great deal!
I agree!

We have Dollar Tree, Dollar General and Family Dollar. But sometimes they do not carry the same items the bloggers mention.
Dollar Tree carries a short 8 pocket over the door caddy that works so much better than the full size one in a bathroom.
In the kitchen accessory area at Dollar Tree are silicone salad dressing containers and I use them for my shampoo and conditioner, and moisturizer.
Great idea!!
Dollar Trees and Dollar General stores throughout my area in central coastal Florida. ❤😊
Great ideas. You are lucky though bc my dollar tree is now 1.25!
For our last cruise I got a foldable laundry bin - will never Cruise without it in the future. Also, picked up several small single load powdered laundry soap and managed to bring 1 less suitcase 😊.
Great idea!!
Dollar Tree, Family Dollar, Dollar General, then the combo Family Dollar and Dollar Tree
I buy shower caps, candles and placemats.
Thanks for the great tips
Hi Sheri - I have both Dollar Tree and Dollar General in my area.
No in Australia we have the reject shop and lots of discount stores that are similar to dollar tree but a few more dollars
Thanks for sharing!
I do like shopping for cruise videos, but I’d like to see a ‘haul’ when you get home of what you actually bought- just a suggestion,
Noted!
Canada 🇨🇦 has their own version of Dollar Tree where everything is $1.25 cdn but it doesn't have the selection yours do. We also have Dollarama where things can be priced up to $5cdn. There are other chains too, but those two are the big nationwide ones.

I agree on the drink cups I do not like drinking out of plastic!! I have a few Contigo stainless steel that I love.
That is awesome!
Cups are best. Leave them if need room.
How about a video on how to get prepared in the way of figuring out how and what to pack for carry on and how to have enough stuff without over packing.
Great idea, I'll give that some thought!
I live in Miami, so I have plenty of Dollar Trees and Dollar General.
I hear ya about not buying sunscreen at the Dollar Store. OUCH! that's the worst!!!!!!!
Love the door decor idea!

Thank you cards were my favorite for crew tips! I buy their medications, nuts and decorations. #loveboatcruising
Some dollar trees have reusable silicone bags in the kitchen isle that you can use for snacks or toiletries. Also, sometimes they have travel size reusable bottles to fill with your favorite shampoo or creams. 😊
Great tips!!!
Love Dollar Tree … cards, holiday decor, + cruise travel 🥰
The best!
Dollar Tree is great to purchase magnetic hooks for cabins, thank you cards / I’ve purchased so many items for my travels and have saved so much money!
Great idea!
Your videos and tips never disappoint! There is an amazing array of items at Dollar Tree and Dollar General. There are some YT channels dedicated to using items in creative ways that are astonishing. Another item I would add to not purchase is the off brand batteries. They do not last very long and are not worth it.
Thanks for sharing!! I keep hearing that about the batteries!
YES, I love some of the DIY channels. So good!
Yes! Also shop at the dollar store. I love these shopping videos
Yay! Thank you!
I have Dollar Tree, Dollar General and Family Dollar stores here in SE Kentucky
You have he same ones we have here in TX!
Thank you - very helpful. Love your helpful videos.
You are so welcome!
Oh wow! SMART way to spend those CVS bucks! Thanks for sharing!!!!!
Thank you so much for your video. It was very helpful, but I already knew about the sticky notes those plastic pins the 15th and the toothpaste and those little tea lights. But gave me health and other things thank you again.❤
Our pleasure

🎉🎉Love these creative suggestions and also this video takes me back to your other one from years ago❤
Thanks for watching! Wonderful ideas!

Dollar Tree is the 💣! I love their snacks, sandwich containers for midnight snacks in the room (from the buffet), travel size items, and especially their seasonal decor and use it to make decorations for the stateroom. 🥳🫶🏼💃🏼🛳️
Thanks for sharing!! I need to find those Sammy containers!
💯percent agree with your purchases.👏🏼
Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes the decorations!! We just went on our first cruise and I bought our decorations from DT. such a good memory :)
It's so good!
Loved the thank you card idea. We are sailing on Emerald Princess on May 20...already have cash for tips, but the card idea is fantastic. Wife goes to Dollar Tree almost every Monday with one of our neighbors!
Wonderful! Wishing you an amazing cruise!!
Dollar general family Dollar Dollar tree 5 below and kinda of a exception big lots
Thanks for sharing!
Btw, BPA-free does not guarantee the plastic is safe. Lots of BPA-free plastics use BPS, which is just as bad, but hasn't gotten as much bad press. Bring your ceramic or metal mug instead.
Exactly my point. 😀
What Dollar Tree did you go to. The ones by my house always looks like a bunch of drunk toddlers had a party there. Thanks for the tips, I’ll have to give it a shot before our next cruise.
They are SO hit and miss! Agree! Ours is in Texas 😎
Love, love, love the watermelon sunglasses! I'm running out to get some today if they have any! I always get the toothpaste, have a stockpile of it. Meerikal's tip on ziplocs is good too. Does anyone else have a "travel section" in their home?
The best! My travel stuff is strewn all about! So messy!
I have 3 drawers in a dresser dedicated to travel items, and a closet full of travel bags
❤️❤️❤️ I’m with you on the name brand only!
Right!!
Yes, name brands for safety sakes, especially for anything you ingest or put on your body.
