I can imagine this is what sans hears right after you reset, or load, or anything of the sort. He's stuck in a void-like space, with all the monsters in the underground... but he's the only one awake. It's torture. And then, you start the game again. As he remembers all of what occurred... and all he can do is that. because, it's raining somewhere else. not here. back where i belong.
Not to break it for ya but Sans does not remember the resets. The whole thing he is aware of is, knowing that it exists. and when he teases you about your deaths, etc. he only knows because he can understand it from your expressions. (Killing sans and coming back) "that *expression* that you're wearing... ... well, i won't grace it with a description." (Killing sans and coming back again) "that *expression* that you're wearing... ... you're really kind of a freak, huh?" You can understand that he is only telling it by your expressions. There are more. Literaly every death count dialog (expect some of them) has expression guessing thing on them. Dont let the stupid fans give you wrong information. Only 2 character is COMPLETELY aware of the resets. Flowey,and Chara.

sans is always looked as a meme. "funny bone man" and "megalovania" and all that jazz. thing is, he's so much more complex than that. his nihilism. his partial understanding of resets. the machine in his lab. and there's still so much we don't know. but to a lot of people, he's just the guy that shows up when megalovania plays.
(Earlier) sans was sitting at the hotel with frisk, talking to them,he hears the music. Its calming (After the reset and to the judgement hall in the genocide run) sans was trying to talk to their 'corrupted friend but after a while gets hit and as sans was stumbling away he heard the familiar song before turning to dust. He joins his brother and other friends.

Not to break it for ya but Sans does not remember the resets. The whole thing he is aware of is, knowing that it exists. and when he teases you about your deaths, etc. he only knows because he can understand it from your expressions.

"funny bone man" and "megalovania" and all that jazz. thing is, he's so much more complex than that. his nihilism. his partial understanding of resets. the machine in his lab. and there's still so much we don't know. but to a lot of people, he's just the guy that shows up when megalovania plays.

Its calming (After the reset and to the judgement hall in the genocide run) sans was trying to talk to their 'corrupted friend but after a while gets hit and as sans was stumbling away he heard the familiar song before turning to dust. He joins his brother and other friends.
