+snaponjohn100. Haha John. Im planning a video of the knives I currently use or my favorites anyway. Did you check out my Tops Bob review btw? Thanks for the sub I appreciate it!
Hey Kevin, the guy who made it hasn't followed through unfortunately. If it ever happens I will make an announcement on the channel. I appreciate your interest though.
Thanks for the mention! It's a pleasant surprise to hear that someone's still watching my little videos. :-) You have a very nice pack and I like that you have just what you need for what your doing.. Thanks for sharing!
saradreaming Youre very welcome ! I thought it was a great idea. I havent used it yet but I will. Lots of good content on your channel and its still current. Take care my friend!
Greetings from the UK and a fellow child of the 60's , you have 1 years experience over me LOL Great simple and concise kit, didn't see a sleeping bag though so figure it's not necessary at the times that you go BCing. For anyone asking about that takedown saw, Paul Sellers does a make your own carpenters frame saw video, looks really like that takedown one when assembled and you can make the addition of a groove to house the blade simple enough.
Like the bottle cap idea. I carry a rollerblade wheel bearing but think it would be easier on my hand if I put it inside the bottle cap. I could glue it in to make it one piece. Can't go wrong with a sylnylon tarp. Nice video
Replace the beer bottle cap with the cap on your plastic water bottle, put a coin in there, use it as hand block, take the coin out and screw the cap back on the water bottle. You could even carry an extra plastic cap for this purpose. A plastic cap has no sharp edges that wears down your gear or hurt your hand. Also the beer cap gets way hotter than a plastic cap with a coin in there. You will find it more convenient probably and end up with a shiny coin.
Nice kit! I carry many of those things but i lose the bags and use either ultralight travel cubes or ziplock baggies to keep the weight down. Love the Savotta, I'll be getting one soon. Looks great!
Tim Whistler Thanks brother! Some people think it's too much gear and some people think it's not enough but that's what I take with me. Thanks for the support my friend🍻 Wade
Good kit items and presentation and you’re clearly fuelled/inspired in the great outdoors. I can relate. Also, I second your Bushcraft day bag vs. backpack weight comparison info. Different goals and intentions between trips. Stay well, fed and happy.

Good time of day... I always wonder, watching these videos, what is the total weight of the package of equipment? And how convenient it is, because it is one thing when the weather is good, dry, warm and the grass is green, and another when it is wet, cold and mud under your feet... And not where to put the equipment of the backpack, when you need to get something out of it, well, for example, from the middle or bottom... Sincerely, Hunter, Fisherman and Traveler.
Good question. Pack weight can vary but it usually is in between 20-30 lbs. As far as finding things in the pack, I will put the things I need most at the top of the pack or on the outside for easy access. The items on the bottom I need last. Hope that answers your question, thanks for watching my friend!
True, I mostly rely on boiling unless I'm backpacking and on the move. In that case I use a Sawyer Squeeze. Its outlined in my backpacking gear vid. Thanks for the input and you are correct , safe drinking water is very important. Take care👍
This is what you carry on a day hike right? The beer bottle cap has only one function, so I use the screw on cap of my plastic water bottle (that I already carry), fit a coin in there and use that as hand block. When done take out the coin and screw it back on the water bottle.
+Dutch Bushcraft Yes Sir. A day hike for me is usually a all day affair which includes some cooking, carving etc. I may not bring everything ALL of the time but usually. Ive put together a lightweight haversack with less gear if Im just out for a few hours. I may do a video on that in the future. Thanks for watching brother!
Ok. I understand now ;) Same here actually. Just for a stroll in the woods a very lightweight setup but I also like to do more stuff in a day and usually also bring stuff for testing. So basically that is all the stuff you would take for a over nighter too or even a 10 day hike and just add some more comfort maybe and food. That explains the 16 kilo ;) Atb from Holland.
ruclips.net/video/mLOQnWBpcUM/видео.html Thanks for watching my friend. Here is a link to a video on my knives. It has changed a lot since this video. My main neck knife is a BHK Jump Jak and my main belt knife lately is the LTW GNS. Thanks for watching and for the question.👍
Nice vid. That kit is great. I was wondering about the hip belt on your pack. It looks kind of thin to help alot with distribution of weight to the hips... how do you like it ?
+BushcraftMtl Axe Hey brother! Yes it is a bit on the thin side but it has structure to it. Its rigid so it does transfer the load to my hips very comfortably. So far no complaints. Take care!

richard martinez Thanks for the kind words! Its the Savotta Jaeger, bombproof and a good size. It's called different things on different websites but it the same model!
All these years later has your day bushcrafting gear changed much?
It has changed somewhat but the principles remain constant. I'll try to get a update video done soon. Cheers🍻
Gentlemen- he said “wipe my axe”. Keep your minds out of the gutter. 😂
I sure did😂. Thanks for watching👍
Excellent kit, well thought out, thanks. Where did you get that very nice vest?
+Prepared Suburbanite Thanks very much! Its a Fjallraven vest. I think they call it the traveller? Not sure exactly but Im sure its on the Fjallraven website.
Thanks for checking the channel out👊
Good time of day...
@@Woodswalker1965 Спасибо за ответ, удачи.
Thanks for answer, good luck.
👍
Thanks for watching!👍
Woodswalker 1965 good stuff buddy
the one thing i did not see in your pack was a way to purify water? im sure the boiling water would do, just didn't seem right not to mention that.
+Dutch Bushcraft Cheers my friend!
+Dutch Bushcraft Good tip on using the water bottle lid and a coin as a bearing block, I will have to try it!
Hey! What knives are you carrying? Mainly interested in your neck knife

Thanks for watching my friend. Here is a link to a video on my knives. It has changed a lot since this video. My main neck knife is a BHK Jump Jak and my main belt knife lately is the LTW GNS. Thanks for watching and for the question.👍
OK, I;ll ask it, what pack is that and the pros and cons?
I reviewed this pack several years back, here's a link. Thanks for watching!ruclips.net/video/KOmgnfyEymk/видео.html
Take care!
I'm subscribed you channel 😉👍
JackElGuía Thanks my friend. I hope you like the upcoming content. 👍
Where did you source the saw?
Hi, I made the saw myself. Thanks for watching👍
