I think this is a great tutorial, except I'm sorry but you are speaking much too quickly and showing the steps much too quickly. It was too frustrating to have to keep going back to view a section over and over again to get the steps right.

Hey Steve, thanks for watching the video! This is actually very useful feedback, since this is only my 3rd tutorial and I'm still learning how to get these done as best as possible. So I'll keep that in mind for the future ones. Sorry for the frustration caused, and thanks again for the honest feedback, I appreciate it 👍
Agreed....needs to be slowed down and the Ps interface needs to be larger so we can see what he is clicking on

@@b.c.d.9543 Thanks for the feedback! I've never thought about doing that, so it's good to get some input from you 🙏🏻 I'll definitely keep that in mind in the future tutorials 👊🏻
Can you pls tell how you created new mask over that disintegration layer
2 года назад+1
Yes, of course! - With the disintegration layer selected, go to the bottom of the layers panel (bottom right of my screen) ; - Click on the 5th icon from the right (the one that looks like a rectangle with a circle inside). --> That will add a layer mask onto the selected layer. Let me know if this helps!
ô_O when I heard your intro, I was seriously looking for the British youtuber who makes videos about Japan. Chris Broad, I think... - Thanks for the tutorial though!!

Do I sound like him? Haha I should check out his videos then 😜 I'm glad you enjoyed the tutorial, thanks for checking it out!
Hey man! That's a great idea, thanks for the suggestion! It'll be in one of my next videos then 😃 Are there any other effects you thought were really cool and would like to learn? I'd love to help with that too 👊
Hey buddy, can you tell me which brushes you used, theres so many in the set
2 года назад+1
Hey Suraj, I don't know the names of the brushes exactly, but any 'grunge', 'dirt' or 'distressed' brush pack will do the job. The main point here, is to add as much variation as possible to the disintegration layer, so that it looks organic and realistic. Hope this helps!
@ ah thanks, didn't quite expect you to respond especially not so quickly haha. Also are there any specific keywords I should search for?

Haha I try my best to answer to everyone as fast as I can, if I can 🙂 My favourite keywords for brushes are ‘grunge’, ‘smoke’ or ‘paint brush’. But if you browse the website, I’m sure you’ll find even more that you like.
Thanks for the question! If you press L on your keyboard, it will bring up to normal Lasso tool. Then press Shift+L to cycle through the other two types of lassos, until you get the magnetic lasso tool. Hope that helps 🙂
The only useful video I have found, the other ones use a white layer as background

Thank you so much Derek Madriz, I'm really glad you found it helpful! 🙌🏻 Feel free to check out my other videos if you're interested! I'd love to hear what you think! 😀
I kind of agree with you. It was only my 3rd ever tutorial so I was still learning the RUclips 'game' back then. Should I make an updated version of this tutorial?
@ Yes. I write books on photo editing and people tell me they love it that I explain how to do things the most basic person can do. Because of this reaction to my work, I think if you slowed down your videos, you'd get a lot more followers and likes. I thought yer video was good and I am now one of your subs. Cheers!
to follow up on my comment, if you slowed your videos down, you could simply tell people in the beginning to increase the speed of your videos to match their skill level. Beginners would love you for this :)

Great, I'll see what I can do ☺️ just so I know, do you already use After Effects?
What happened to the brush links ?

Can u please tell me where to get similar brushes?
Brusheezy.com has got TONS! It’s probably the best place to start 👌🏻

How did you edit the magnetic lasso???
Thanks for the question! If you press L on your keyboard, it will bring up to normal Lasso tool. Then press Shift+L to cycle through the other two types of lassos, until you get the magnetic lasso tool. Hope that helps 🙂
What did you press to make the new mask black at 3:46
You can press CTRL/CMD+i to invert it, or you can use the Fill tool (G) to fill it with black OR you can use the Brush tool (B) to paint it manually.
When you do the fill tool, make sure you don't have the "all layers" option selected at the top, took me a second to figure it out too
where are the brushes?
Hey Vini, all the brushes and assets are available over on my Patreon: patreon.francoisfourmy.com
How to make action liek that effect ?
I'll look into it for that particular request and will see if I can make a tutorial about it! 🙌🏼
