Just planes thanks nice one
🤗🤗👮👮😭😭👮👮
I just love how the captain greets everybody in Spanish. I have heard him several times in the frequency. BTW Air France pilots are usually very nice whenever they are in MEX.
So far one of the most competent captain I have ever seen or heard chapeau bas 👏
Totally and a great person as well. So happy to have him in our series!
ok how wonderful is my passion since childhood
Love the 747-400s; it's a beautiful and amazing plane. I enjoy meeting these pilots and listening to and watching as they control this awesome aircraft. It's sad that they no longer fly, but at least we can see them on here. Same with that 747 from KLM in front of them. I'll miss those 747-400's as passenger use. I love hearing the engine's startup, and this takeoff was awesome; the plane sounds amazing. It was great to see other planes during the taxi as well. Beautiful night departure and an awesome video. I love it.
Thank you very much Shanon!!
Courteous and hospitable captain. Great human
2:55 A nostalgic sighting of a KLM 747 combi loading cargo onto the main deck
Iv never seen the combi
KLM on combie 747
use to load horses near the aft cargo door,
Pax flights the cabin was sealt of.
Its deff a strange sight but i work at Air France/KLM Cargo at O'hare airport so its an everyday thing
I've flown the KLM combi out of MEX many times, happy memories 💙
We miss her so much! Luckily we still have the memories
Fantastic experience seeing the pilots in pre flight preparation y takeoff , thanks for allowing me to see.. it’s my passion since little boy
Glad you liked it, thank you for watching & commenting Jorge
You’re truly a great communicator and teacher.. thank You for sharing your knowledge! Love this !
I love how the French pilot calls many people speaking Spanish on frequency in Mexico a threat... as if it were much different in France or really in any country with their respective language.
(And yeah I know it is a threat indeed)
the french are definitely in the top 5 worst english speaking ranklist..
You’re right it is threat anywhere with any local language. The only thing with the french is that the level of ATC standard is actually really good (when not on strike) and they will pass any relevant information reported by french crew if necessary to non french crew. That doesn’t happen in South America or in Spain for instance. But I agree with your point.
Actually not so true. ATC english level standards in France are pretty strict, some airports are well-known to be lacking, compared to others. It's not even a question of origins cause I could name you many EU ones that lacked in the language/communication department.
I think the pilot is actually Mexican or from another Latinamerican country.
MEX can be tricky for a foreign pilot. Specially a 747 crew. It is tricky enough for us Mexicans.
This channel has inspired me to send my son to the flying school , it’s the one of the world most prestigious profession.
Thanks for this beautiful video of the Queen of the Sky!
Very welcome!
I love these cockpit vids, and it was really cool seeing that KLM Combi(?) at the gate in front of the AF 747. I flew on an AF Combi (LAX - CDG) back in the late 80's.
Excellent, excellent captain. Very thorough!
Glad you enjoyed it, thank you
JP......Great to see this vid.....also great to see the "KLM"!

Wow. Air france retired the queen of the sky 4 years ago.
Can't believe it's been 4 years since Air France retired it's 747s
And thanks to justplanes, it lives on right here

The Captain may not be French but the FO certainly is. Check out the Gallic Shrug at 4:50
Georges is French , no doubt

How wonderful

Great team, these ca
Fantástico
sympathetic cockpit crew!
Yes very nice crew and very special Captain
The Pilot said “the aircraft...nothing special” these days being the captain of a passenger 747-400 is very special
So weird seeing people without face masks. Wish times were back to normal.
You must not live in the US. Most of the white women for some reason here don’t wear them.
Right and probably a long long time before we see that again unfortunately!

RIP airline now ! Interjet! 😢
The communications between the Captain toward the FO was a bit surprising to me compared to other cockpit videos I’ve watched...I thought the Captain was very controlling throughout the entire departure preparations. The Captain even reflected regarding his comments to the FO, “not to micromanage, but...”. The FO seemed distracted or a bit unsure by the constant bantering by the Captain. Although not a pilot, I have been trained in the medical model of crew resource management...checklists, briefings, debriefings, and communication in a crisis. I think much of what the Captain said should have been briefed earlier...but when you have a controlling personality, it can intimidate or stifle communication when a crisis actually happens...Comments, anyone...
I agree the Capt was rather 'instructional'. I was wondering if the FO could possibly be low-time on the type? Thought the FO did a good job.
@@H-Zazoo Yes, the FO was solid....the Captain, nothing like I have ever watched with Lufthansa or BA videos.... just saying... individual personalities always come into play. When I concluded watching this video, it scrolled into another AF video with the same Captain... I couldn’t stay with it...
@@williamritchey9852 The skipper sounds dutch to me... would explain it. It's a thing in this industry...
Kinds strange that everytime I flew to Mexico (most of the times with KLM) Air France was there with the 777-200
Passengers - checked. Smell - checked. Pre-takeoff checklist completed.
Not a good idea to worry cabin crew with 'moderate turbulence' remarks. A forecast is a prediction not a guarantee.
I suppose they could always 'create' some turbulence if necessary :-)
OK

Yes
And the Captain is ......Kevin Spacey .

Class. So around 10000 kg per hour a 747 burns and the fuel is a third of the planes weight? Unreal
Good point, pretty wild indeed!
I will stay another 27 minute here...
Cool!
Is this footage new?
2014
Nope
Its a few years old. You can always click on the link in the description and that gives you the flight information.
KLM 747 :)
Dutch Captain?
no he is French, but he speaks Dutch too (very well I can say)
He's French Gary

Pilote air France ?
I don't know how to manipulate boeing 747
Did anyone else note that he didn’t have much runway left after that rotation?
I think the wide angle lens distorts perspective. Also keep in mind that the aircraft is still accelerating.
I….don’t think I want to fly with them. No checklists. I don’t care how good a pilot you are, no checklists is a red flag. How many people have lost their lives because flaps weren’t set properly? Checklists.
when will go dominican republic puerto plata pop MDPP.
Combi
If i'm not mistaken they had only full pax at that time. I can't remember handling an AF combi.
The Air France aircraft was all passenger, KLM operated some combis
NOPE.
A380 Etihad the best
It hurts the heart this copilot with his poor English, decidedly the French are at the bottom
I wonder how he even manages to talk to the ATC
Fortunately, the captain saves the team
YOU SPEAK VERY WELL YOUR LANGUAGE DONT YOU???
There’s nothing wrong with his English. It’s probably better than your French.
Boeing the have the worst air crash in history right
Airbus has a history of plane crashes.
@Lily Kim Cao; The boeing 787 and 777 have never had a crash however The A380 almost had two Catastrphic crashes w Quantas if it wasn't for the great skill of the Quantas Pilots w would have about 800 soul dead because of that Plane
