    I've watched a bunch of videos on YT, but always good findings SA content. I'm sold, I'm getting this bakkie. I've been saying this P Series is capable. Thank you guys!!!

      It is capable. But don`t abuse it. And watch out for mods on them, especially if you have the LT SA version. full spec. The sensors don`t like mods.

    Late to this so sorry if I repeat something already said. But all automatic 4WD's need to be in neutral to engage Hi to Low or Low to Hi.
    You can drive through the park brake, no need to turn it off, in fact my wife and I drive with the Auto Brake on, stop at lights and take your foot off the brake, then lights change brake releases, we have a Havel H6 and do the same with that. the eBrake also can be pulled up when driving, e.g. driver has a medical event, passenger pulls up the park brake and holds it, "emergency brakes the vehicle, hazards flash, engine de-throttles and park brake comes on at about 5 to 10 kmh. Can be exciting ;)
    Engaging low range turns off traction control automatically, although there may be some TC that's remains on, and Rover Discovery 3 and 4 has the best offroad traction/terrain response ever with a proportional locking centre diff, I think Borg Warner would love for the transfer case to operate as good.
    The vehicle is in "AWD" in normal mode, 2WD (rear) in ECO and in sport AWD. The AWD system is "torque on demand" and will supply drive to the front and/or rear as it believes necessary, a bit like a Subaru. but if you press the traction button, then press and hold the vehicle will go into "Expert off road mode" some say it locks the centre diff, but it most likely tightens the fluid coupling between front and rear drive shafts, a pseudo CDL.
    Have fun.

    I also learn about my vehicle by playing with it but unfortunately 14:40 I used 4 low on my XTrail when I was not supposed to and damaged the system. It was to costly to repair so left it like that.
    Please do the 4/4 tips video. Can't wait.

    Great video guys! Helped me a lot. Perhaps you can help with the following...how do I disable the rear sensors when I am towing? Drives you nuts when you drop below 15km an hour and the beeper goes off every time. Please help with that! Best to you both.

    when you put it in 4L traction control switch off automatically 9:24 11:25 and if you turn 4L off the traction control automatically turns on.
    12:23 in my p-series 4x4 LT the 4L stays on doesn’t matter what until I turn it off?

    Hallo Guys
    I'm looking at gwm p series
    I just want to make sure about a few things plz and your help will be appreciated
    Is it reliable did you get any problems
    And if you drive on dirt road corrocated road is the bakkie ok so.e videos I saw they say it sounds like it's falling apart

    • @foreverventure1739
      @foreverventure1739  10 месяцев назад

      I have had no issues with reliability. Things I have found is there is a little vibration when loaded on the propshaft. And things that have given me issues is due to me doing things that affected the sensors. But that`s not the vehicles fault. But so it`s done well.

    Does cross country mode lock the centre diff?

    • @foreverventure1739
      @foreverventure1739  Год назад

      Sorry at the moment I don`t have an answer for you on that. I would say no, if you look at the latest manual vs auto video when my son tried to drive the dune you would see the way it responded. I would say no, but I will try get you a more conclusive answer.

    How good is the LS 4x4 off road? It does have an auto diff lock

    • @foreverventure1739
      @foreverventure1739  2 года назад +1

      I have not had the opportunity to drive the LS but it is very capable. As mentioned I only chose it as I needed the diff lock. I would have rather gone for the LS, that was the only reason why I went for the LT. The LS does have limited slip diff which is enough for the normal off road trips.

    Hi. Why do I here an click-sound from my one rear tyre when in 4L?

    • @foreverventure1739
      @foreverventure1739  Год назад

      I can`t say why without driving the car. Make sure you don`t have your diff lock on while trunning on a hard surface. But some times there is a stone in the tread that causes a clicking noise. But that would be in both high and low. I would take it to the dealer and ask them. Good luck let us know what they found it may help others. And thanks for your question. If you don`t come right try send a video of it on our instagram page.

      @@foreverventure1739 thank you. I have the LS 4x4. Automatic diff lock. I will observe it. I went through your video again on how to engage 4L correctly. I did all right. Must say it is the first time driving in 4L and it impressed me. As you said, you have to play with your car to get to know it.
