South Roanoke, and the wildwood neighborhood is just so so different from the rest of the city it’s a real southern small town feel. It’s good wholesome people where everyone knows everyone

Roanoke for life. Enjoy the way she giggled when bringing up Salem.
Ha ha. Not even sure that was intentional but Roanoke holds a special place in her heart as does Salem now in this new phase of life ❤️
Thanks for the videos, I'm planning on moving to the area this October. What are the best areas for a single male in his early 30's who wants some socialization but also has good access to hiking opportunities. Perks if it's a great value and doesn't have too much craziness or crime?

Unfortunately due to Covid, I had to stay in my area another year, however, I'm still interested in the Roanoke area and what it has to offer. Let's keep in touch. I love all of the recent videos you've done as well, giving me a better feel. Seems like my only concerns at the moment are availability of jobs, local flooding, and the slowness of affairs. Can you please bring clarification for these concerns, and why you believe the Roanoke area to be best of all to move to? Thank you so much!

What about NW Roanoke or SE Roanoke? They need to move the Rescue Mission next to 7 eleven up on the hill in South Roanoke.
thanks for the comment Donald. we do have some clients that are looking in those areas of town and a pastor friend planting a church in NW Roanoke, however, we're not in those areas a ton, so don't know them as well. Real estate is cheaper in these areas and you can get a lot of house for your $$$'s there WITH some architectural and historical finishes many times.

Tanglewood mall should be leveled....it's outdated and 20 years past its shelf life!
Most malls in the US seem to be past their shelf life we’d agree. It’s nice that some companies and industries are re-imagining these through creative redevelopment. Like Carilion working to utilize a good portion of Tanglewood to better serve the medical needs of our pediatric community in the Valley.
I lived right across the street when they were building it. Cows chickens horses country store. Fun bike ride to Starkey
HA HA HA OMG these people lie soooooo bad....... Trust me folks Roanoke is not the place you want to move if you want to get a great job unless you are a doctor or something like that. These people just want you to buy a house in a flood zone that they don't want you to know is a flood zone. They make Roanoke sound like a heaven IT'S NOT.
Are you saying every house in Roanoke is in a flood zone? Because they are not and it’s never our recommendation to any of our clients to purchase one that is. As for Roanoke being “like heaven” it’s all about your perspective and we have clients moving from all the world that like the lifestyle, community, and outdoor amenities. It’s up to every person, local or from afar, to decide if Roanoke is the best place for them to call home. We love living here and want others to experience it to if they desire.

@@CCCdrumview , I highly recommend the Raleigh Court, Grandin, and Wasena areas. Old Southwest is a nice area as well. All of them are pretty affordable.

@@CCCdrumview , my pleasure. With a bit of research and patience you can find a place to live in any of those areas. Rent is pretty reasonable and home prices will be much lower than some of the other neighborhoods. If you want to spend more money then South Roanoke, Hunting Hills, Cave Spring, and the Downtown area are prime spots. In my opinion, after living in Roanoke for forty-eight years, Raleigh Court and Grandin are the best... closely followed by Wasena and Old Southwest. Wish you all the best in your hunting!
