Az-Adar you have the best line ever, I read sings. I understand messages. Messages say: SHUT UP OVERLORD FOREVER!
And then he was left to bleed out, alone
And so was bruz :( rest in peace ologs that bled out
Dragon1090304 lol I just met Bruz today since i’m in act 2 he’s nice
PhantomTBG For now
For real that guy was badass. I'd never let him die!
This man literally fought until all of his humanity was gone, just so humanity had a better chance at fighting Saurons forces, what a fucking legend
He is a legend
True. One of the best characters in gaming history.
Yeah, this is pretty fucking amazing. I don't think I ever made it this far. I got bored after I beat the game and became a necromancer, which is sad because that was the part i was most excited for. But by then, everything is done, all thats left to do is grind 60 of the same fortresses with slightly different enemies sort of. I got too bored and quit, missed out on this epic ending
He would be if this was canon, but it's not. I also thought this was a kick in the teeth after playing for hundreds of hours for basically nothing, if Talion was going to fall to the corruption of Sauron they could have done that at the end of Shadow of Mordor but nope, they had to make another game to milk the fans for more money and lootboxes.
@@Kugrox they changed it with one of the updates. Now I think it takes 5 hours to complete shadow wars and not like 10 million years
At least Bruz still doesn't want the fort.
Punished Izayoi and he’s not trying to kill you
I DON WAN DA FORT!!!!
9:00 FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-
I didn’t know u could get Bruz back, I shamed him so many times
My army has bruz and 5 other orcs who think they are bruz and wont shut up about it.
Bruz I don't think you understand the situation here...
I like Mipha lel
He's using reverse sociology
HAHAHAHAHA 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂😂😂 IM DYING
but Az Azdar sees it. He sees the signs, he understands the messages.
+Fuehnix What do those messages say?
The fact that they made talion the one nazgul in that ending scene for return of the king is fantastic. I know a lot of people have gripes with this game but that scene really changed my whole opinion of the game.
Although what would happen if he hadn't been hit by molten rock from the volcano?. Does this imply that some of the Nazgul survived The Fall of Mordor damned souls, but without the power of the ring.
@@alaljarensi6990 No nazgul survived the death of sauron
Which scene was this?
@@mom_made_pancakes1880 when Gollum falls into Mt Doom and it begins to erupt
@@alaljarensi6990 So that's just Peter Jacksons way of showing the Nazgul defeat. Like they would be struck and killed without the power of the one ring. regardless its just a concise way to kill them so the audience knows they died. So without the ring they die or fade into the wraith world, unable to continue without its control and power.
Someone said this before me, but it should be said again for Talion.
Go in peace, son of Gondor.
Yuki Terumi couldn't have said it better, Talion can finally be with his family again, and not have to fight anymore. This is honestly the best way this series could've ended
@@blissfulsoul5056 I don’t think the series is over
Larniie Playz well it should be with someone else, I think he's earned his rest
Fuck me this made me emotional, they really made a great character, one that we'll never see again
@@larniieplayz6285 it is for Talion. But I wouldn't mind more Eltariel or even Baranor. Maybe have a game or extra DLC where Baranor and Serka help out Talion. It was hinted that Baranor was looking to conquer the forts of Mordor like Talion at the end of Desolation after all.
Bruz has to be the best strategist ever. Just imagine this, he storms in the fortress and the Overlord looks at him. The Overlord is ready to fight, then Bruz starts screaming: "I don't want the fort! You can keep the damn fort!". And so the Overlord relaxes and says "Ok, I accept your surrend-" just to be stealth killed by Talion while he has his guard down

All Talion did was hold off Sauron.
That was all he needed to do.
Brewsterion 1017 if he didn't sauren would have found the one ring and no lord of the rings or the hobbit sauren would win so really talion was the one who saved middle earth he also killed many captains limiting the amount of orcs sauren had
you know its saurOn, right?
Brewsterion 1017 he was the true hero of Middle-Earth
Deltahunter,of course in canon mordor had been attacking gondor since before talion was born and held them off just fine.
Tyler Ellis In canon, Gondor didn't have to deal with so many powerful captains, warchiefs and overlords.
The one thing I found amazing about the ending of Shadow of War was the attention to detail. Not sure what I mean? When the screen pans to show the "dagger" (the broken sword) in the ground, look beside it... See that flower? It's the exact same kind that Talion had given to his wife.
Supapretzel Jenkins holy crap thanks for that
Also, the Dagger seems to have regained its full blade. Which would make it a sword again.
The Berserk Spoogz what?
The dagger’s blade seems longer.
The Berserk Spoogz that’s because it’s in the ground dumbass, look at the broken sword that he takes off his back before he drops it
i will forever remember this game as one of the best games i've ever played

“I don’t want the fort!”
A war cry that strikes fear into the hearts of those that hear it.
Right up there with, "SHUT UP OVERLORD FOREVER."
I'd be terrified if I knew my Lord would hunt my ass down, drive me into insanity and bring me back into the fold as a mindslave if I ever betrayed him.
and then make him the overlord of the one fort XD
it implies that despite the destruction and killing he doesnt even want the prize, just wants to kill orcs. pretty scary if ya ask me

He says it 6 or 7 times over the course of the siege.
It is bruz who is a org that you are meant to shame him and then leave him and he is saying that because he is part of the story
Jacob T U well done you never had a bruz in your army before ?
Dude, Bruz. This is kinda what we are here for.
Best comment.
"Are you here to challenge me? I love a good challenge!"
"No, just here to end you."
... Did Talion just pull a Gohan vs Buu?
Don't remind me of that botched fight...
Thought that was pretty good.
I know this is a fabricated story pulled from the actual LOTR lore. But with this ending, it also fits beautifully why there are no orcs or beasts of war when LOTR starts. Talion led & pitted these brutes against one another until he wiped out the rise of this generation's army. I feel that the internal war was also what gave him purpose to keep fighting the good fight. It kept him busy from succumbing to the darkness eating away at his soul and mind. And then, when I saw him stare across the cold, dark night of blackness, with nothing but quiet and ending flames at a distance, I knew before Sauron even came to him that this was it. These were his final moments as a human, the embers dying representing his diminishing soul. When Sauron approached him, he was already at his weakest with no more left to give. A husk that was empty and ready to be filled with new purpose. I know it's been said before, but damn, Talion really gave everything up just to give Middle Earth a much greater chance of survival and success against Sauron's blight. Until the final drop of humanity, the final shred and every remaining second of who he was, he gave EVERYTHING. Even when he looked back to the barren, cold & desolated metal landscape as a newly knighted Nazgul, even then I felt as though he were trying to regain some semblance of his former self. Him questioning himself with doubt, fears & hope, before finally, he could no longer turn back because he was truly no longer human. Man, this shit is sad as fuck. But Talion is definitely the embodiment of a worthy hero. Someone who didn't take anything for himself, but gave up everything for everyone else.

Instead of being a dick wad nerd, educate people. This is why no one likes nerds. People are afraid to make a mistake because nerds will make fun of them and correct them.
The final cut scene was intense... And i've played and finished the game already... This game man... Totally enshrined along with the Witcher 3 and The Last Of Us (GTA 5 gets an honorable mention but the story arc isn't as strong as these 3 imo)... Thx youtube for putting this in my reccomended!
@Alec Johnson my bad. thanks for that tidbit though. I'm not exactly a LOTR fanatic despite enjoying it when I do. :)
@Yoo nathan I appreciate your kind words. What's one person's strength isn't another's. Hopefully they realize this human error and become better from it. :) Something I've always kept in mind was a clip I saw from Boogie2988 in regards to extreme nerds or fans. He said that if you tear someone down on account of who is the bigger fan, you're not a fan just an asshole. I've carried that with me to keep myself humble and human and to realize that just because I'm more knowledgeable in one category does not make the person next to me an imbecile who doesn't know better.
It’s good that Talion didn’t continue the cycle. I like this ending a lot.
It’s unfortunate that it’s held behind hours of mindless grind, but it is a good ending.
Maybe youre just bad at the game. I hardly did any grinding.
@@jak7826
I mean, you literally have to defend and retake various fortresses multiple times.
It's literally an endless grind of finding, leveling, and branding orcs that will be strong enough to handle their own against the ever-more-powerful legions that come your way.
But yeah. You got the big dick. Congrats.

It still literally takes forever.
Because you literally have yo fight.. I think it's upwards of 20 chapters of sieges? With only the first like.. Five chapters just taking one siege. So.. Literally forever. Literally a needless grind.
Once again, congrats on your big penis. I'm sure you didn't have to grind at all. And by the end of the campaign you were already level 65, with over 50 level 65 orcs. Because that's reasonable.
At the ending, Talion drops the Urfael (simbolizing Talion), drops Acharn (his son's broken sword), and there is a flower (the same one that Talion gave his wife in Shadow of Mordor, which i didnt notice until someone in this comment section pointed out). They are together now.
Talion the man with a soul so strong that he could withstand the effects of the ring for decades on end, and when he finally gave way to the ring I knew that he was worthy to be a nazgul. He was stronger than I will ever be. We may have been enemies at a time, but like me he lost everything, the only difference is was that as soon as I lost everything I gave way. We were enimies but, now I am glad we are friends. -Fell Rider

Why does talion look so bulky in game but hella skinny in the final cinematic cutscenes
in death you evacuate your bowels so all the bullshit talion had stored up since shadow of mordor left when he died for good
Um.....PLOT CONVENIENCE!!!?
They had someone else do it.
Not the same actor
I assumed that after his death, he was reverted to when he was younger, before his first real death
I was killed by a simple Olog in Minus Ithil, he worked his way through the ranks and he ended up being the war chief in the most difficult district. 😆
I got killed by an Orc I wanted to level up, and he became level 60 in a zone with level 25 orcs normally. He followed me from my second visit to Minas Ithril.
I love how in the game talion was one of the biggest parts for the death of sauron also he is a true badass
He didn’t really do anything to Sauron, Celebrimbor fails and Talion becomes a Nazgul. He could’ve but he fails.
He was the reason why Middle earth got its most valuable weapon. Time.
He succeeded IMMENSELY. Talion is fucking awesome. He gave the fellowship time to prepare and win.
I loved this entire story from beginning to end, but I wish they would have kept it going for one more game. The epilogue could've and should've been it's own longer game. I think there is so much more they could have done with the story. But at the same time, I'm happy they didn't get too carried away with this story and end up ruining it.
New wonder woman will be phenomenal because of nemesis system
I agree. I would like if they found a way to end it at the part before Talion found the nazgul ring, and dedicated an entire game to his descent and iron will rusting away.
"If there can be be no victory, than I will fight forever."
they should have made the final scene like Gandalf's description of the afterlife, with white shores and all that
but here's the thing. Unlike men or Hobbits, Gandalf is an immortal creature.
In the scene when he described death, I always imagined, that is what returning to the undying lands was like for him, before he was send back to middle earth.
Usually when I capture forts I recruit captains inside it just to have the extra fighting hands
Same
1:06 I’m not trying to take the fort he says as he stands in front of an army, fully intending to take the bloody fort
this is rly random but I'd love a game by monolith where you're on the other side of the war, as like a Nazgul or something, fighting against humans, dwarfs, elves etc, with the nemesis system. I think that'd be really cool
It's pretty cool when you think about how in the first movie, when the Nazgul were closing in on Frodo and his crew and Aragorn came in to save them he was probably facing Talion too.
do you think talion would be as talented of a warrior with his training when he is a full-on nazgûl, after losing his personality and memories etc.? I don't. even helm and isildur were basic bitches after the rings worked their magic.
In the middle of the game when celebrimbor was still with talion, i thought it was so poetic that one of the nine was isildur, and for the longest time i thought aragorn was facing isildur on wheather top
8:57 R.I.P Bruz. He really didn't want this final fort. :P
This guy left three of his trolls to bleed put
Man I just beat this game after forgetting to complete it 2 years ago and started a new save just to get the full experience again and I have to say, when I got that final cutscene of Talion removing his armor I felt sad that the journey was over, even tho he was only in 2 games we got so attached to him and his story, shadow of Mordor to me is the beginning of his era and here is the end which is perfect. I know he’s not canon but there’s so much good material with his character and the story that I feel like it should be, rip talion, we fought many battles together
I come back to this game every once and awhile and, Im currently in chapter 3 of the shadow wars…I dont want it to end,I love this game to bits

celebrimbor's fate is yet unknown, the elf eltariel plans to hunt him down at the end of her DLC but that's it, honestly I was pissed that they dead space three'd me. Gave a perfect ending with a finished story then set up a sequel hook in DLC.
@@vivusthevivusthing6182 they should have released a celebrimbor story dlc.
Something that actually wrapped that up would of been ideal but I feel like someone at corporate insisted that there still needed to be a sequle.
Since you can see Celebrimbor get ejected from the top of Barad-dur he probably is still out there, and if there’s a sequel I guess we’ll find out
Sadly lorewise he would have never go to see his family
The first time I saw the ending, I was almost moved to tears. Talion gave all that he had and never asked for anything in return. These man is one of a few legendary people in Middle-Earth who gave everything to help defeat Sauron. He even turned his back on his wraith buddy Celebrimbor because he saw what he was becoming even after everything they did all that they did together, he still turned away from him. On top of that, he ended up doing whatever it toke of stop the forces of darkness in his own way. He ended up having to use the power of the ring of the Isildur and use it for good. Even after he turned, he still went to the undying lands (in my opinion). This man is THE embodiment of a true hero.

And next time I play the game, I'm going to break shame all his so called brothers! ^^
Will tailon was ignored bruz that why he betrayed him i think
Ok the shame beyond death was a little harsh but he did stab you in the back with a spear and capture a bunch of your captains
Derik Cahill I felt so angry having no choice to not make him overlord he helped me take the fortress and explained what to do if it wasn’t for him the attack would’ve probably failed I don’t blame him betraying you after all that

Thebat132 plays make them undead for gear upgrades?
Thebat132 plays ikr it triggers me so much
This was beautiful
But what of celebrimbor?
Talion was one of the Nazgul in the upcoming LOTR movies?
So many questions...
By this point Celebrimbor had betrayed Talion, tried to dominate Sauron , and was killed, hence why Talion put on the dark lords ring, it was the only way to live long enough to complete his mission. And technically this game isn't canon, so no, but I see no reason as to why he couldn't be.
Ruined gaming I just realized Lord of the rings was basically like this game with all the rings hence the name Lord of the rings
Dragonslaya2000 celebrimbor wasn't killed. After betraying talion and fighting sauron he got trapped with sauron where they fought each other this whole time. Once the ring was destroyed and sauron finally died you can see in the cutscene a blue light leaves. That was celebrimbor
No, but in the movies when the nazgul go to the shire in pursuit of the new ring bearer (as said that talion was going to do after he became a nazgul) it's totally possible that this adds a small bit of backstory to the nazgul in LoTR, it doesn't say talion by name in the movies, so he could be one of the nazgul in the movies,
Ruined gaming teoretical he was Nazgul in Film Celembrimbor hhmmmm...I have no bloody idea
I kind of hope for a third game, especially when I see Celebrimbor's spirit separate from Sauron's as the ring was destroyed. I don't know what they would do for plot , maybe Celebrimbor rallies the remnants of the orcs and dark forces for another wave of evil and Talion is sent back to deal with him like Gandalf was by Eru or the Valar. Then you would have to conquer Celerbrimbor's forces and turn it against it climaxing with a battle between talion and Celebrimbor.
In the next Shadow game, you play as Wonderwoman and you have to lasso Celebrimbor; before he flies away.

What are with all these “true endings”? There’s only one ending.
nope, there's multiple
Yeah, what other endings are there. There is just celebrimbor being defeated and talion holding Sauron back.
Well yeah they called the ending after Talion became a ringwraith an ending and then, to me at least, the shadow wars was an epilogue and after that you got the "full ending"
Julian Alexander, I completely agree.
I think it's because a lot of people think The Shadow Wars which is the final act is just a bunch of sieges for fun so some people don't bother. When in reality you need to complete all 10 stages of it to get "The true ending" and Talion's happy ending.
i think it would add to the happiness if talions family was waiting for him in the cutscene. :D
Talion should've met Aragorn before his conversion to a Nazgul. Could've been a very powerful scene.

Five years later, in 2021, I returned to Middle-earth to experience the thrilling sequel, Shadow of War. My adventure through Mordor continued, and although I didn't quite reach the end at first, I achieved a significant 60% completion of the game.
Finally, on February 16, 2024, I've conquered the remaining challenges and witnessed the culmination of Talion's story. While bittersweet, the final cutscenes provided a satisfying yet tragic closure to his journey. While a part of me wished for Talion's continued existence, the writer masterfully crafted an ending that leaves little room for further adventures.
Looking back, this journey spanning eight years (2016-2024) has been truly memorable. I deeply enjoyed the gameplay and the intricate narrative woven throughout both games. The Shadow of Mordor and Shadow of War saga will undoubtedly remain a cherished experience.
My Orc Army preparing to siege a fort.
General Bruz: "I'm not trying to take the fort. I would never try to take the fort!"
Me: "Oh ... i should have picked someone else for the job."
Really should've been a second ending where talion takes the ring off if he retains some humanity by performing specific actions. Like reviving allies, going out of his way to protect them in battles, etc. Wish there was a mechanic for that bc it blows to see etariel gets off Scot free for screwing him over to be a damn nazgul until LOTR.
In the very last cutscene where talion is talking off his gear anyone else think he looks like a black haired kurt cobain?
DevilKin i know right
Too much of his face is left
Fitting how, in the final siege, Bruz finally, _finally_ was given the sweet release of death.
That ending hit me hard tho😢I felt that
Talion doesn’t become a human again.... he is dead... that is his soul traveling to Valinor, believed to be a resting place for human souls after death.
In the Silmarillion, the final resting place for humans is not really explored deeply but according to Gandalf in the LOTR, death is a door into another journey, with green hills and such. I don’t remember the exact quote.
considering the Fighting skills of Talion i doubt he would have lost against Strider when he went to the Shire considering he wasnt even alone
They were all heavily enhanced by the soul signature dealt upon him by Celimbrimor. Strider also never truely fought any of the nazgul
@@emailname8624 lol that spelling of celebrimbor is just the best. by the way, the nazgûl are only special because of the ring's special powers after the bearers succumb to it. they would be more powerful without the brain dead effect of losing your personality etc. all you are as a full-on nazgûl is a puppet that's an idiot without skills.
(2:23) Bold words from a guy who don't got a giant monster and in stomping distance
13:37 that was a strong olog
I could literally feel the panic while he was capturing the first inner point
for me ONE OF THE BEST games ever!!! very nice graphic and dont need a good pc to play it!!! grats
shame that forthog died though - if they were to make a sequel that starred a new protagonist, the game probably wouldn't be as good.
Ps4
The final scene symbolizes the whole family being together at last. First, Talion drops Urfael, his blade of choice. Then, he drops Acharn, his son Dirhael’s, broken blade. But did you see where Acharn got stuck in the ground? It’s directly next to Ioreth, Talion’s wife’s, flower that he gave to her before death.
I loved this game so much but I just wish there would’ve been more fortresses
Once I finished the game, I had over 80 hours of gameplay, probably like 30 of those hours were storyline related. I was max-level when I got the true ending. I wept for Talion. Yeah, call me a wimp. But he was my friend for my year to two years worth of gameplay. I had played Shadow of Mordor too, and I had over like 100 hours logged in that game. An ending I still don't deserve, it is so beautiful. He is a great man: moral, willing to do what is right, self-sacrificial, and arguably the best game protagonist. Yet he is still a man, and falls to temptation. Truly a testament to the perfection of this game in keeping in line with Tolkien's world (as he was a Christian, as am I). Epic game. I think about it sometimes before falling asleep and receive that not so distant but distant nostalgia feeling. I feel like weeping with thankfulness for such a wonderful game that I believe could teach people many things, particularly Christian Tolkien fans. Thank you.
The ending made me teary
Reminder :
One of Bruz First words to you was
*”Bright lord,Dark lord! Same thing really”*
True foreshadowing from what could have been the best Orc.
I just realised that shadow of war is a story between the hobbits and the Lord of the rings.
Pizza time
Ah yes
Playing Talion when he got corrupted makes me feel like I'm playing Anakin right after order 66. You still think he's a good guy. But you know he's ending up the villain.
I shamed bruz back to level 1.
Then I chopped off his head. Shouldn’t have backstabbed me..
i shamed him back to level 1 then let him beat me until he was at max level then did it all over again
@@francis623 I shamed him so many times that I started to think in my mind that he should lose the ability to form sentences completely while he screams in pain in his head.
I like how Talion drops Urfael in a way that it doesn't stick to the ground, representing his will of being a soldier is no more. But when dropping Acharn, his sons broken sword, he drops in a way that it sticks to the ground, representing his son still lives in his mind, the same goes to the flower blossing from the ground, the flower wich he gives to his wife at the beggining of the first game.
So how long does it take you to get the true ending?
DarkBlade 25
20+ fort battle
Complete all 10 Stages.
Depends on your dedication and how fast you are. If you do everything right and successfully defend your forts during all the stages, it should take a few hours. Took me about two weeks because I was working as well.
40 hours
Well i started the shadow wars. Like 2 days ago and i am already at phase 8
I still get teary eyed when I watch this! Talion's story is over, but Celebrimbor's is just beginning! Amazing game; love how they tied the ending in with LOTR. Now I watch the movies with a different mindset. Can't wait for the next one!
Legolas it's technically not cannon, but hey, most of the inconsistencies are from book cannon so we could consider it movie cannon.
Gearoid Garvey Well we all know it's not canon, it's just the thought and imagination of thinking that's Talion that got hit by the flying rock in ROTK that makes it cool.
@@gearoidgarvey8266 Legolas is definitely canon in the lotr, not in hobbit tho
@@creepylegend7392 by "Legolas" I was refering to the orignal commentor
