      @@geminiots2121 I don't sponsor these and am not compensated in any way so I'll be honest I've had a number of these break without any reason. Some of them just come on but won't turn off and others just fail all together. A couple of them I thought were broken from the box out (3 out of 7). And 2 actually had to be operated in the reverse, so on those instead of the buttons being all pulled up to start they had to all be pushed down first and the time you wanted had to be lifted up. They do seem a bit fragile despite careful handling. I use several of these throughout my home. Life has been a lot easier since I've started using them and they fit my budget because they're extremely inexpensive.
      What else I like is I don't need any Wi-Fi or AI and my life remains private.

      My description mentions that I made this video because I (too) have a learning disability and recorded how to set my timer because I have difficulty remembering steps. I save them in a private HowTo playlist for myself for quick reference. But when I went to upload it I forgot (too many steps for me) to set it to "private" when the default was public and when I noticed it had views with thankful comments from appreciative people like you, I let it remain public.
      Funny you mentioned it, I do A LOT of pausing and rewinding 😃

      @@KiaSoul2023Travels I apologize for delayed response, my notifications placed the most recent on top of yours and others prior to it and I only saw one from my own comment on a video. There might be a way, if you look between the numbers at the split between the tabs you should see that the split between the tabs lines up with dots between the numbers, these are the half hour increments but what it might be is that it will come on at say 1:30 instead of 1:00 I don't know if what you mean is is there a way to set it so that it actually turns on and off every half hour I don't think so. If you want it to go on and off every half hour you can try setting every other tab. Or possibly the tab before the dot and if that doesn't work then try the tab after the dot between the numbers. That should be equivalent to every other one and make it turn off and on the half hours. If you try this and it doesn't work then the answer is absolutely not. Your next best bet would be to get a smart outlet that works with Bluetooth. I have a couple of those myself and they are very precise you can probably get them to come on every other second 😆. Please come back here and let me know if it worked or not and if you're interested in trying a Bluetooth plug/timer device I can tell you the name of the type I use. Again I'm very sorry for the delay in responding to you, I usually respond the same day or the next but occasionally I get these glitches.

    • @jibberoverjava
      @jibberoverjava  3 года назад +1

      It's a set it and forget it. Make sure you've slid the switch to ON and it's not plugged into an outlet that's controlled by a light switch or a power cord with it's switch turned off. Some of them randomly do stop working, probably due to an unnoticed power serge. I've owned more than a dozen over the past 10 years, they've all been safe but a few have died in homes with facade new faceplates/outles but old wiring in the home. Best to buy from stores like W-Mart who readily take returns. If it ever stops working, buy a new one, pop the old one in the new one's box and return it as defective. Just be sure you bought the same brands from the same chainstore.

      @MichelleScooler Hi, I'm sorry for responding this late, I was caught up with some things I had to address immediately. I'm really sorry my video didn't help you. I originally made this video for myself because I found these timers to be confusing and my memory impairment made it impossible to remember. I posted it in my personal How To video playlist so I could watch it whenever I needed to. Normally, I uploaded my how to videos as private but by accident, I forgot to set it private and it uploaded as public. I noticed people commenting that they were helped by it so I left it public. I completely understand your frustration. It took me many tries before I was able to understand how it worked. I hope if you haven't thrown it away, I can help you set it. You can reach me here and I can walk you step by step and explain better and you can ask me questions, anything you don't understand I will patiently try to help you with. Afterward if you want, we can delete all of our conversation. I'm happy to take the time you need to get it set. I think once you've set it and it's working for you you'll feel better and it will be easier for you. What do you think? Do you still have the timer and would you like to try setting it with me?

      I'm sorry it didn't help you. If you want, I'll help ypu set it. We can text right here and I'll walk you through it. I still use several of these things daily throughout my home, I'd be glad to help you if you want me to. When you've done it a couple times it gets easier. It wasn't easy for me either. I easily forgot between uses. That's the reason I made this video in the first place, was so I couldd use it to watch every time I needed help. It was hard for me too. Reach out, I'm available most of the time and if I can't respond immediately I surely will as soon as I can.

      The title tells you who this video is for. If viewers fail to read the full title or the description, they probably aren't detail oriented and won't appreciate this video. Feel free to enjoy someone else's video. I'm not the jealous type.

      Thank you for your extremely important correction. I made this video because I have a learning disability. It has over 35,000 views and almost as many likes because people can think outside the box. Nothing not even you are perfect. I'll be the first one to admit my own imperfections. If you don't like my video just go watch some of the others that are trying to tell people how to work this type of timer. Everyone who has liked mine says it's because the others didn't explain it as well. That's too bad you're not satisfied. My grandmother told me when I was little you can please some of the people some of the time but you can't please all of the people all of the time and you just fall into that category. Thank you for watching.

      This video clearly states its for Slow Folks Like Me… not for people like you. Should've watched a different video. Pay better attention from the beginning and don't assume entitlement … accommodate YOUR Special Needs, smh
