6) Cycles of depression in the past decade have changed me. I don't tend to my physical appearance as I should, nor my home. Rarely leave my room or go out. Married 43 yrs to the most wonderful man! I grieve for who we used to be together.
I have had severe Fibromyalgia and Myalgic Encephalomyalitis for 31 years. Meaning, most of my life is spent laying down since sitting and standing are super painful and I'm exhausted all the time. This year I started Ketamine infusions as wel as a compounded nasal spray of Ketamine daily. It definitely helps but I have had tons of questions. It would help so much to have a group to be part of online for Fibromyalgia patients who use Ketamine so we could learn from each other and support each other. Is there such a thing? Where? Thanks so much for doing these videos. My own Ketamine doc isn't so informative. I feel like I'm floundering in the weeds without professional direction. So thank you!
I’m replying after reading your comment, currently attached to my 24 mg /30 ml /h infusion pump . I go home tomorrow. This is my 2 nd dose working 7 month treatment schedule. I’m in Melbourne Australia . Woman, mother of 5 , 52 yrs age . Needing a plan to navigate the system to fill the gap between these infusions. They are so vital but not enough if I am to gain headway with pain management. I’ve tried many lifestyle / diet changes& supplements. Still want to upgrade with support between these week respites that are costly but life changing. Wondering how to access nasal ketamine . I have a diagnosis of CPTSD also that interacts with Fibromyalgia and pain experience. So depression, and the need for mental distress support . I don’t v take any opioids or anti depressants. I have seen : studies and samples enough to know I’m not willing to use them in my plan. A support group is needed , reaching out to you and wishing you all wellness and helpful advances in your health.❤
@mamaelfian May you be blessed with answers and healing. What you want sounds necessary considering the illness/issues. I wish I had the power to grant that to you. Big hugs!
I’ve been dealing with crazy nerve pain from my ears to my jaw, and in my SI joint. They diagnosed it fibromyalgia. I’m sooo interested in these ketamine treatments because it seems like nothing else is working for me! I’m in so much pain!
Is your SI joint still bothering you? I had a fusion done on mine 5 years ago and have fibromyalgia, too. It helped tremendously. It took about a year to totally level out, but it was a good move. I-fuse was the procedure. Best wishes.
I have been dealing with this disease foe years now, and as complicated as it sounds, my doctor believes I have CRPS as well. This is making sense to me, though there are MANY similar symptoms. I have been getting ketamine infusions for a few years now, and recently have experienced this connection with god or the universe or whatever you want to call it. Something very deep and magical and spiritual. Thank you so much for your informative and rather enlightening video! 💕🙏💕
If this is effective for fibro, then it should be effective for CFS, RA, Dysautonomia as these are all disregulated nervous system issues. More and more it is coming to light the brain and nervous systems role in ALL chronic illness.
Good to get a better understanding of how ketamine works. I've been having regular infusions for the last few years (for fibro) and find it to be so hopeful in lowering my pain levels.

I have recently been diagnosed (after many years of being brushed off by dr's) with small fiber nueropathy after skin biopsy but not fibro, though I believe I do have fibro aswell because I have whole body pain, just havn't been diagnosed cuz most dr's are uneducated when it comes to pain syndromes. It switches from one pain symptom to a totally different pain symptom constantly. One day will have nerve pain in my hands and feet, then the next day it switches to whole body muscle cramps, then it switches to allodynia where it hurts to put pressure and the muscles start twitching and tremoring, then it will switch to burning in my face and top of head and on and on its crazy.
I've had FM for 40 plus years. I've spent most of my life investigating FM. 8) Mainly for depression but FM, neuropathy, CRPS too. It's not for the weak of mind! The pain of the death of our 6 day old, 1st granddaughter in 2012 was prevalent. Hi! I'm Ricardo, anesthesiologist from Brazil! I work with intravenous infusion of Ketamine for depression and chronic pain. I would like to hear your opinion on ketamine-guided psychotherapy. Do you do it in your clinic?
I think memory encoding is what's being rescripted by the introspective or "spiritual" encounters. In other words, the patient is working through the body/minds trauma and resetting the fight or flight memory response.
CPTSD as well, probably the trigger in my case for FM; and/or the shitty fkn vaccines that the psychopaths force on just about everybody, including just about all children. Ketamine, psychedelics.. have been the only thing in the external world that has done anything worthwhile, and been profound and beautiful at that
4) Made it tough to express what was going on w me. I hid doans pills, Tylenol, excedrin. My dad went thru similar things tho not widespread pain. Mostly his chest, head, neck, depression. He was a pastor so this wasn't looked at kindly by fellow pastors. At. All. He died 30 days from 65. Sigh.
2)My legs, low back, hips began "being chewed on by zoo animals" when I was 6-7yrs old. At puberty, (12-13) after sitting still(school, church) pain made getting up & moving unbearable & embarrassing.
I have fibro and have been on all the drugs dr.s normally prescribe and it just seems like my symptoms have been getting worse over time. I've even tried CBD and Kratom but not much luck. I did try smoking ketamine once but it was more of a high than anything else so I would like to know if there is a better way to do this that would be more effective for pain relief.
We treat patients with intravenous (IV) ketamine with continuous vital sign monitoring. We believe this is the safest and most effective for pain relief.
They tried to kill you, but you are alive and you will get through this! :) Go natural in general, ketamine and proper use of psychedelics are great tools.
Anti inflammatory and opioids are not effective in fibromyalgia and in fact opioids will make it worse and cause opioid induced hyperalgesia - as the natural opioid system Is already maxed out with the central sensitisation possibly caused by glial cell inflammation - anti inflammatorys will only help if there is also peripheral inflammation as well as the fibromyalgia .As well as the Duloxetine you mention there are also the older tricyclic a/d. As well as attempting to boost the descending inhibitory pathways with neurotransmitters gabapentanoids can be used to dampen glutamate excitement- neither approach works in more than about 1/3 of patients with about 30% pain relief - the numbers are a little better with poly pharmacology such as Duloxetine with Lyrica - but still not great and with bad side effects so Ketamine in a most welcome development.
3) I thot every girl felt her insides being ripped out when urinating/bowel habits during her period. Migraines. Increased pain included shoulders, neck, every trigger point. Note that I'm like a copy of my paternal gr'mother and my Mom hated her.

1) Ketamine must be used responsibly at all times, and ideally with doctors present. I'm not sure of the exact details of the death in Colorado, but it's not 100% safe, especially in high adrenaline situations involving carotid chokes & unknown medical history. 2) Ketamine was known as special K on the street and was known as a club drug.
