MERCEDES C300 EXHAUST - RESONATOR DELETE WITH X-PIPE!

- I had my resonator cut out and I replaced it with an x-pipe and it sounds way louder! I personally want it even louder and am looking to get a muffler delete and quad tips in the future! I definitely recommend this if your looking to make your Mercedes or any car sound a lot better!

What year is your c300
That stock exhaust definitely sounds better than the stock C300 2015-2020 one!
yes it does i have a 19
Also because the newer ones have inline 4s and not v6s
@@2wheelstuntin36has it broken down or any issues, about to get one so i need some advice
This video helped a lot, Im about to buy a manual w204 and I wanted to know what it sounds like opened up! Thank you!!
I have a 2013 c300 thinking of doing this, it sounds way better and it’s not crazy loud 👍🏻
Yea I would definitely do it...... it sounds really good
I did it on my luxury 2012 love it but u dont hear the roar to much unless under closed bridges and 4000 rpm or more
I have the same car and I really wanna do it but I’m worried about how would I get this to pass inspection? Because Doesn’t doing this cuts the check engine light on?
@@BobMarley-ey8ol no light comes on i done almost a year ago no light on i pass inspection i stay in nyc. As long as u dont touch the first cats that have the O2 sensors u will be fine. A mechanic told me even if i take second cats off will pass
@@nicknick6960 I have a 2014 c300
I am wondering how loud the cold start is? I have experience with a Catback system and I couldn’t handle the loud noise all the time.
Thank you
It doesn’t give any errors on the speedometer or anything ? Just curious cause I wouldn’t be the happiest if yk what I mean
Never.
Great video. Concise and straight to the point! Quick question- any other mods like different headers or just the x-pipe? Dynomax do a great resonated x-pipe inside on a different V6 application.
Thanks man! In this video just the x-pipe but I have other videos with the mufflers off and a stage 1 tune.
@@reags3460 With just the resonator deleted, did you experience any drone in the cabin at highway speeds? Or any sort of drone?
Hey again! In the first take is the car completely stock? It definitely sounds more sporty than my 2010 C300!
@@adamsoloman5291 this is probably a 2013-2014 model, they came with Mercedes n/a v6 instead of a turbo Inline 4 which is what every other model has.
I have a 2011 C300 4matic thinking about doing a resonator delete after this video, sounds amazing
I would definitely do it! You won't regret it.
Yo! Same car as you here. I was debating on doing xpipe installed where tree resonator is with a muffler delete. What’d you do?
@@vivid8759 I have the 2011 E350. Thinking about doing a resonator delete soon everyone says it’s worth it
Today I remove my resonator and installed the X pipe, but it stills sounds like stock. I really don't know what happened
Yo where did you get these wheels from? I have a 2013 C300 and was tryna find nice ones like that
Ayo, where did you get that gorgeous carbon fiber trunk trim?!
@Reags hey, I'm new to America, live in Missouri, drive 2015 c350 3.5v6, want a fuity exhaust which is road legal, don't want anything which doesn't complies with the exhaust or emissions laws, can you suggest what would be the best way to go, I don't want anything obnoxiously loud either.
the stock one cant be 100% stock?! sounds too good for stock did u have an exhaust leak?
W204 sounds good man you should hear it irl at only 3k rpm
I reallyyyy wanna straight pipe mine I already replaced the resonator with the x-pipe. Does the car sound annoyingly loud straight piped? Or is it just loud enough
How does your car sound with just a x pipe because that’s what I want to do to my c300
Hi, I have a 2009 C300 and am debating on either doing a muffler or resonator delete. I'm a little unfamiliar with car mods, so my question is if I were to do a res delete, is a new pipe necessary?
Yea so when you do a resonator delete your cutting out the resonator in the middle of the exhaust that's when you can either buy an x-pipe to replace it with or have the exhaust shop weld a straight pipe in place of it.
Best to do an xpipe instead of a straight pipe for the resonator replacement. Overall it’ll provide better airflow for the exhaust and give it a more aggressive sound to it due to the shape of the pipe.
7 months late, but also definitely recommend the res delete over a muffler delete. When you remove the muffler you’ll notice it’s constantly louder even when you’re not putting your foot down, so you’ll get drone in the cabin whenever you’re driving on a highway. With the res delete you’ll mainly just notice more tone/rasp when you floor it
You gotta cold air intake? And x pipe instead of the resonator
Is that automatic?
You get burbles with the res delete? Sometimes on cold start I hear my C300 wanting to burble and I know res deletes really help them make their way out
Eh you’ll really start to get them with the res and muffler delete
how is this car overall buddy, I am thinking about buying it as my first car. any tips and suggestions would be appericiated.
Yea man it’s honestly a really good car drives well and it’s awd so snow and rain isn’t to much of a problem either and it’s prob one of the best cars to mod out cosmetically, there’s a lot you can do to it.
Is there any droning in the car when driving on the highway? I use this as my daily so I don’t want it to be annoying when I drive to and from work
With only a resonator delete no there is no serious drone
is this just center muffler replacement by the x pipe? cats and rear mufflers original? sounds fckn great!
Thank you! Yea its just center muffler replaced with an x-pipe. I do have another vid where I did delete the rear mufflers too.
@@reags3460 i put on a x-pipe too now and made videos hehe.
Nikki Landa sweet I’ll check them out!
Would there be a difference in sound between a luxury and sport c300 w204 with this exact set up?
No it will sound the same
I have a c300 as well I know I want a X pipe but i don’t know about the resignator delete i’m new to cars what does deleting the resignator do exactly my guy
Yea that's how I was at first but I can explain it to you pretty good. The resonator is in the middle of your exhaust system and its pretty much just like another muffler on your car. It is supposed to stop drone or an annoying engine sound while driving but when you delete it on this car your not gonna get any of that. When you get rid of the resonator its not gonna cause any problems and its legal so you can't get in trouble for it. It sounds way better without it.
And if you want to get it done just order a 2.25inch x-pipe take it to an exhaust shop tell them to cut the resonator out and weld the x-pipe in place of where the resonator was.
@@reags3460 does it give it more of a raspy sound when you take out the res? and i appreciate you helpin me out!
@@johnnys4745 Yea you'll get a raspy sound especially on cold starts the sound gets a lot deeper. Yea let me know what you need help with I got you.
@@reags3460 do you think the raspy sound sounds good? and how do you make the pops after you let off the acceleration? is there only one res? thanks bro i really appreciate your help
What size of x pipe did you use? Is it the same with a c350?
yea it was 2.25 inch pipe
What kind of wheels are those?
whats the perfect size for the xpipe
Nice car. I'm from Lancaster PA I have a c300 too
Bro where in pa you live? We have very similar c300! Mine is white too with the taillights tinted too. I also put an x pipe and did muffler delete and res’s out

@@reags3460 bet! let’s meet up soon with our white Benz’s! Yours is so dope mines getting there lol
I just got this car and I’m thinking ab doing this but what did u have did u do the resonator delete for or x-pipe
Yea, you have to cut out the res to get the x pipe in
@@ppopcan5274 Glooks yea I just got it...I want to get good sound like maybe just a res delete first but I just don’t want it to sound like a tin can so I was making sure u had done what I thought u did
@@colemeehan7412 well I mean if you mean Honda tin can then I can guarantee, the X pipe will sound better. Most AMG cars come with an exhaust system with the resonator already taken out and replaced with something akin to an X pipe for a more exotic sound. So if you’ve got a C300 and you’re thinking of doing it I highly recommend going out and buying the part right now and calling your local exhaust shop to see their prices on welding
@@ppopcan5274 word thank you for that
Was there a decrease in your fuel efficiency after doing this ?
Not at all….only if you start stepping on it a little more
I have exact the car c 300 4matic. What size wheel are does. I’m try to put a rims on it on Monday
18 inches
Ok thanks
@@oumlowe8885 no problem!
I have a 2014 C300 and thinking of doing the same exact thing. Did you experience any Check Engine Light at all?
Nope you won’t get a check engine light.
Hi I wanna do this too but having trouble finding the right size and I want the best strongest pipe I have a 2013 c300 can you point me please
I have a magnaflow 2.25 inch x-pipe on my car let me know if you need any more help
Which x pipe do you have? And is there a check engine light?
Magnaflow x-pipe no you wont get any codes
Is that just xpipe mine doesnt sound like that
So this is just with a muffler delete & add X pipe? how much does that cost
Yea so I had them cut out my resonator and replace it with an x-pipe for about $110 then I had them cut my mufflers off and replace it with straight pipes for another $180ish
Can you post a amazon link of which exhaust you got exactly??
Just x pipes
What is your rim size and offset?
@ReaGs By any chance you happen to have the link to purchase for the xpipe you installed? There’s several brands on Amazon and eBay but not sure if they sound different..
I don't have the link to the one I got but I have a magnaflow x-pipe. You can honestly get away with any brand of x-pipe there shouldnt be a difference.
@@reags3460 thanks. I wanna do the upgrade just want it to sound a bit deep not so much whinny noise like if it was a 4cylynder with a muffler tip lol
@@jbarra3655 if you really wanna make it sound deep taking the mufflers off and the resonator will make it sound insane.
hey from where did you buy the x pipe? thank you
amazon or you can buy it off an exhaust website
What type of tires. Rims
Would you go for resonator or muffler delete if you have a c300 stock?
I’d do a resonator delete with an x-pipe first and if you want more noise do the muffler delete after. It does get really loud once you have both off.
@@reags3460 Really! I always thought to go for a muffler delete first, I thought resonator was more for noise while muffler was for that sexy AMG tone...
@@jaanali1518 I mean the muffler is gonna give it a lot more tone but it's also gonna make it a lot louder taking that off over the resonator but if you are fine with it having some noise then it really won't matter.
Did you get front & rear resonators deleted ?
The only resonator on this car is the big thing in the middle. That’s what I deleted.
Did your horse or toque increase any and if so by how much just curious .getting mine done next month ?
Nothing that I noticed really.... but the resonator is much heavier than the x-pipe so that does factor in with the power. I just recently took my mufflers off too and with that I’ve felt like I’ve gotten a little more power especially because of how heavy the resonator and mufflers are.
What rims and spoiler are you using?
Y shape amg rims and just a carbon spoiler you can find on eBay
How's the drone noise inside the cabin now vs before?
With just an x-pipe not bad at all.
@@reags3460with resonator delete and x pipe is there bad highway drone?
I wanna do this to mine. Any drone and which x pipe did you use?
I used a magnaflow x-pipe. There's not any drone if you just put an x-pipe on.

I want to do this to mine what did you do?
I Cut out the resonator and I replaced it with an x-pipe.
Does this work with a C250?
Yea it will
What xpipe did you use bro ?
I used a Magnaflow X-pipe but i'm pretty sure they all do the same thing and there isn't a difference.
@@reags3460 which model? how much did it run you roughly?
I paid about $100 for the magnaflow x-pipe and about $110 to get it installed so around $210 for everything but you can find other brands of x-pipes for about $30
You in Pittsburgh? I want to get mine done. Looking for shop to do it.

Broo !!!! What the spec on those wheel and tires?!?? I been trying figure out what size i should go ..
18 inches my front tires are 225-40-18 and my back ones are 255-35-18
Very nice
Is it legal in PA to delete the resonator?
Yea you can do it without any problems.
Ok, thanks bro, your car sounds so good, can’t wait till I put x pipe on mine
Thanks man! Yea it sounds even better in person
Do you have any shop recommendations in PA ? Someone who’s good with reasonable prices.
I go to someone in Pittsburgh not sure if you live near there?
Where did you get the parts?
You can find the x-pipe on a lot of sites but the best place is prob Amazon or eBay for the best price.
Does changing exhaust and tuning effect the engine of the car?
Not the exhaust it depends what car but it shouldn’t harm anything if you tune your car it gives the car more power
I have a c300 4matic sport and I really need a exahaust
I would get the X-pipe done first
Did you get a check engine light ?
Nope I didn't get one.

Does it pop?
Not with the x-pipe but if you take your mufflers off too you’ll get a little pop in low gears but not really. If you want pops you need to get a stage 1 tune.
ReaGs it’s sad that a 3.0 don’t manage to pop with a straight pipe..
Yea I’m sure if you take the secondary cats off it will get a lot of pops.
ReaGs i have a 2008 c300. I poked like 3 holes in the exhaust before the resonators and mufflers. To be honest it sounded soo sporty and way louder than before and had a little of pops and crackles on the downshifts.
