I wanna see a spin-off set 8 to 10 years in the future where Eri, Kota and some of those kids from the remedial course arc are students at UA. Or another one set 25 years in the future, but this time about a group of you vigilantes (including the son of Mirio Togata!!) What do you think about that. P.S. love that intro
*Vigilantism* *Advantages:* •Not having your real identity in some government server. •Working freely (e.g not forced to go to colombia for ‘work’) •Not being held accountable for damages •No law restrictions (e.g can investigate private property without the paperwork) *Disadvantages:* •No government hero wages •No ‘work’ aid •No Copyrights to your hero identity •Could be considered a criminal •Government is hunting for your identity •The Internet is hunting for your identity •No insurance •and definitely No cake
Military quirk usage I'd imagine would be more common in the US due to the many branches compared to Japan which is more typically used for Self-Defense and National Emergency purposes. That said, be interesting if military involvement eventually pops up and has some role, considering how the story is going. After all, it's quite questionable and I mean, the Nomus alone would be prime candidates for such things. That or could be that they're much more interested in tech based heroes to avoid deaths, so may be similar to drone warfare, though you'd still have quite a few Military Contracts, mercenaries and so forth. Suppose time will tell if those will have some story significance.
@@DanExclaims The military has always been on my mind, but you got it back on my mind. Suppose given Japan is a lot more reserve with military actions outside they're navy: may be some time until brought up.
I love how much thought is put into this world. I understand how Japan would want to restrict quirks and heroes because that reflects their current laws surrounding guns. It would make sense to have people who do the fighting and then people who do the paperwork. The world needs order and this makes more sense. I would love to see how the world is in the US. You can't tell me that people aren't allowed to use their own quirks in the US because I know us too well to think that people aren't doing what they want with their own powers. Guaranty there are some gladiator type games going on, Kind of like the UA sports festival, but all the time. Americans are just too competitive to have anything else. We need a collaborative spinoff series about the US with Horikoshi working with a US author. Probably will never happen and that is ok I just love the My Hero world in general.
If you watched this video he literally says “There are more vigilantes in the US” The US also are the first ones to start a ‘Hero’ status thing, This is a reflection on the real world and how the first ‘standardised’ hero comic books started there and this is also why US heros are more vigilantes; Heroes like superman, spider-man, batman...etc are all heros who work for themselves, usually along but NOT with the government’s law enforcement.
@@abdlhmdx I did watch the video and it is my bad for not making my thoughts more clear. I meant that I find it hard to believe that the US would make any laws restricting the use of quirks and that the states would be more like I Island where people would be free to use their quirks out in public. People would claim it as their right to bare arms or something. It would make sense that there is more vigilantes in the states.
Kitty Cat Castle Well yes, but actually no. These two things are incomparable since a quirk is apart of the person’s body, it would be discriminatory if it had been so, and you only are restricted from using a ‘harmful’ quirks. (E.g shooting electricity in public) while a gun is a weapon Even when using the example of guns, you have the right to bare guns but you don’t have the right to use it whenever wherever. Although your question made me think, wouldn’t guns be less popular with citizens as quirks make the 80% of the world’s population. They would only make sense with quirkless and non-offensive quirk users.
@@abdlhmdx I agree that quirks would not be allowed to be used against others but since it is apart of who people are I feel like Americans would fight even harder to be able to use it for their convenience. That plot line is already being used in the liberation army in Japan and with how rebellious americans can be, don't you think that would have already happened in the US?
Kitty Cat Castle oooh! Yeah, I agree! 100% And I think it’s canon! the US has the most number of those who use their quirks in the name of ‘freedom’ in agreement with the MLA; liberation army... but they’re labeled as terrorists so is the liberation army. What you’re saying is true but probably is not as loud within americans nowadays, this could’ve been different before the war between those who want to use quirks freely and those who restrict them. (Yes there was a war; the MLA lost)
The intro for your channel is by far the greatest I’ve seen in a long time. It is unique and has a classic toonami cowboy bebop vibe 💯 so glad I found this channel
Kinda sad that I just discovered your channel and I’m happy that I did and that damn intro is so killer I’m just hoping you get recognized more by people you deserve it
What’s cool is when I first read the 3rd volume of Vigilantes and they showed that Rhode Island was important for being the first place ever in the world to have Hero Laws was so cool since I was born and raised in Rhode Island, makes my home feel more special to me.
Dan Exclaims! They even highlighted the state. I thought to myself “no one is gonna even notice which part is highlighted due to the fact that Rhode Island is the smallest state in the country”😂😅
Damn I never even thought police could also have quirks XD The dog and cat officers should have been obvious, but then again quirk singularity could mean some of them have pretty mundane quirks compared to the later generation. And maybe most were quirkless.
So your telling me that if deku became a villain he could become one the most dangerous villains in the world with all his info on heros at his disposal and the intelligence to pull off massive plans and heros couldn't do anything about it because he's quirkless therefore showing the flaws of the hero world just by his very existence most likely causing a uproar against heros on a scale that would make stain look small time... now I want to see THAT version of my hero academia that sounds way more intense than even what's going on right now.
A Police Officer is allowed to use their quirk while on the job because they can probably accrue a Provisional Licenses in order to use them legally. Or add it to their police report, but remember during the license arc there were lots and lots of people applying for licenses but are not heros or officers. There was also plenty of people much older than the kids trying to get their licenses. I think its possible to get a License exam in order for any occupation to use their quirk to assist them.
I want to see a spin-off more in the lines of the Pilot chapter for My Hero. A "Not-Qurikless boy" (we already have Deku) but with a Quirk not suited for fighting (like Zoom Quirk from Hatsume), trying to be a Hero with the help of Equipment and lots of Training. And probably, treading the line between Hero and Vigilante. Maybe even, a military setting where this MC works as guinea pig for one of the greatest minds in the field of equipment and weaponry development. I would love a story more focused on international politics and strategy, than the measurement contest of who has the most OP Quirk.
Honestly, I said this in my chapter review last week. I'm not super fond of when they base arcs around shipping, but I have a feeling number 6 being missing, along with knuckleduster and popsteps new manager being a hero are all related somehow.
When I read the part before the Kamino incident and MHA: Vigilantes, I was like "H-Hold on, you blow my geek brain here, MHA. You're saying that Police actually investigate, not just rush in the last minute? And Heroes actually cooperate with them? No BS about you're weak bc you have no power or you're a freak bc you have power?".......... (cue up some music about miracle with tears in my eyes)
It's really intriguing to see. Vigilantes has the cops investigating, while my hero academia has the actual explosion of events. I really hope that post my hero at Anime Expo we get vigilantes as an anime.
Dan Exclaims! Aizawa's popularity probably goes skyrock too if that happens. Though it may take awhile seeing how Shirakumo incident link with the current chapters now.
I feel like they aren’t supposed to use quirks but if they have to then it would be like if an American cop used their firearm. If the cop was in serious danger or a citizen was in danger they would do everything they could to save the innocent
Most quirks in the setting are just small oddities that aren't useful in direct combat. I'd imagine most police have such quirks since they'd most likely be heroes if they had big flashy quirks.
