Various shots of Concorde 001 plane being pushed out of its hangar and into position on the tarmac before its first test flight. Shot of press watching from a distance. Heat comes out of the rear engines while the ground crew do last checks.
Concorde moves slowly off over the tarmac. Shots of pilots Andre Turcat and Jacques Guignard and their crew on board going through pre-flight check. Turcat moves a lever in the cockpit. Great shots of Concorde gathering speed and taking off on first flight - exciting!
Several shots of Concorde in flight. Shot of control tower at Toulouse as technicians wait for news from Turcat on how the flight is going. Ground crew look to the skies and shield their eyes. Concorde comes back in to land after a successful test flight and a parachute comes out of the back of the plane. It taxis to a standstill.

Concorde, o avião mais belo que já existiu.
não cheguei a ver, mas é lindo
Awesome video! Thanks a lot!
For some reason I’m imagining the Austen Powers theme song playing in the background.
cool concorde
In MACH 2.3 Supersonic flight, Concorde heated (air friction) so the fuselage extended by 6 inches. Engineers allowed for this by designing this expansion into the space between the Navigator/Radio Operator and the Cockpit/Passenger Bulkhead. If you visit one of the Museums where Concorde is housed, on entering the Flight Deck/Cockpit, the six inch space is on your starboard( right) side. (at MACH 2.3 that 6 inches was reduced to zero).
Exactly !! 🍺 😎 👍
Great fact... thank you!
@letsseeif the facts are mostl, correct, but it's exactly the opposite: The 6 inch gap was there when she was at Mach2+, but on the ground the gap was closed. Some of the flight engineers stuck their hat in that gap on the fi al supersonic flight, where it became clamped when the aircraft was grounded forever.
@@VorbringAir I take your point. thanks for the update.
I watch this 2024
