It’s always about the money… 💰 it Always includes Manipulation… and disassociation from friends or family who are not part of the movement. So many Commercial Cults use the same tactics. Set up a tax free church and then do whatever you want to make as much money as you can.

you may want to look into exactly what rocket money is before you promote it. one major thing is they charge you a percentage anywhere from from 30% to 60% of whatever it will save you for the year. Plus a monthly fee for features that are actually needed. they are being investigated for manipulative and deceptive business practices

I watch them all the time & I thought it weird th😅at these people only appeared on Robert's son's vid & that they only interacted with their group. They never have individual youtube channels or do self promotion activities. U only see them with eachothers on 1 channel controlled by some1 who's nothing to do with dancing. U never see any of these people with other friends or families. Only their dance group friends. I also found out they all live together! Even the married like Miranda live with church room mates. But u never actually hear them praying or sharing the gospel. They just live to dance! 😮😮😮😮

What was the first cult he ended up in? I haven't given much thought to how many cults actually exist, nor did I consider MLM's to be cults but now that I do... It's kind of concerning. Especially since most cults exist to generate money for the top person in charge. I'm glad that in terms of cults I don't often hear about ones that exist solely to form harems for the leaders (I believe that was what kind of cult the Smallville actress was in, with a bit of money making on the side). Either way America should probably start drafting some laws to protect people from cults.

@@ceilconstante640it can also be a response to the trauma - almost as an attempted reclamation. They believe they have found the group they initially thought they found, and think that now they can show themselves and others what they were seeking when they fell victim to the first cult. That and, like you said, they are conditioned to thinking they must rely on others, some greater theological leader. And people who are predators can spot those who are victims. Some people are just more easibly manipulated and cults prey on those people so it’s not surprising that if someone fell for it once, they would be targeted again

I feel it but clearly there was underline stuff she never open up to them about. It could be something beyond little that she blow into a mole hill.
The best you can do is accept their wishes and deeply write or say something that might touch her. You keep trying to go after them will just make them pull back more. All you can do is hope they wake up but she a grown woman and she can do whatever she wants to do. You just got to accept and let go. You can’t control your them as you be just like the others group controlling them and making do something they don’t want to do.
Sometimes spoke to she that touched her that clearly they didn’t know. Something deep inside until something happened that prove other wise or something ugly happens she is blinded.
Happen to my friend’s friend what the whole James Town but when he said to sell all your stuff and move to CA she wake the hell up as that second it didn’t fit right in her soul. You love from a distance you don’t keep being up the cult. If you do talk like you truly interested like you would like to join. Never talk down. Hear something crazy lovely say hmm that don’t seen that right and tell them how much you love them and accept they wishes. As the son that left the house in the Bible or the one that says give them up to the devil because really there not much you can do, again their grown and you have to respect their wishes.
The little time they was talking I can tell they with hard on her till she completely broke. If they respect her wishes they could have still have a little door open or when she come to her senses.

A few years back working at a law firm in Santa Monica I had a coworker sucked into a religious cult. Within a matter of weeks he stop talking to all of his friends. He stopped going to restaurants with us. He stopped everything and the next thing we knew he dropped out of law school, got married and moved out of the country to spread the word. a.k.a. trying to recruit people into this religious cult and it was so sad. I feel so bad for you and the pain your obviously experiencing. No real religion in this world should ever and I mean ever ask you to cut off all contact with your family and friends. I could see the pain in his face as he told me this and how it literally broke his spirit. He became a shell of himself in just a week, but yet he joined them. I just couldn’t and still can’t wrap my head around why he would choose this path. Her style is more fashion-forward, less 'barely legal' than her previous image. The Wilking sisters came across very novelty; very 'hot college girls on tiktok'. The difference is night and day, professionally. Miranda wants to be a dancer, whereas melanie wants to be rich and famous. Miranda wants to be an adult, melanie wants to be a cheerleader. It has nothing at all to do with church/religion.

I’m a dancer, I love keeping up with the current trends and dancer influencers so I’ve heard about this cult before. I’ve never heard a deep dive though, it’s been tricky looking up anything about 7M. But long before learning about them, I’ve watched Itslavik, Miranda Derrick, B-Dash, Aubrey Fisher, etc, shorts on Facebook and RUclips and always found it interesting that it was very rarely their content. It always filmed by Isaiah Shinn who I guess is the son of the head of 7M., Robert Shinn. Noticing that Isaiah was always the one to post or be credited with filming these dance shorts lead me down a rabbit home. Also, all the dancers featured are sooooo talented and yet are now constantly doing the same choreography (that pretty much anyone can learn) to the same handful of oldie classics. They’re far too good to be putting out such simple content and now it makes a lot of sense as to why.

Family disconnection is a common trait in cults. Steven Hassan developed the BITE Model to describe cults’ specific methods to recruit and maintain control over people. “BITE” stands for Behavior, Information, Thought, and Emotional control. The BITE model should be used within the Influence Continuum Model to help determine authoritarian control. Not every group or relationship uses every one of these. Some are universal such as deception (Information control), indoctrinating people to distrust critics and former members, or installing phobias to make people afraid of questioning or leaving.

I am a very religious person, but the church or priests/ministers have never interfered in my life. REAL religion allows the individual to be the individual they want to be. Why? Because your religious belief is your choice, religion is a "personal" relationship with God. No one else can control that relationship, but there are many Psychos that will take advantage of people that are easily manipulated. Many of the Psychos do use the Bible, but they don't use it in its entirety. Alienating the subject and object matter from the outside world and propose to take on the image of the aforementioned leader of it all. Her parents never even met her husband, this guy she just met. That quick. She had abandoned her family and all her past friends. Her family seems a real loving family and what.
None of that is normal in any day type of situation. It still is not normal at all to me. As someone who follows Christian extremism very closely, the 7 Mountains Mandate IS an expression of Christian Dominionism. It is an effort to establish a theocracy led by scores of charismatic and Pentacostal leaders, prophets, and apostles, most of whom enthusiastically backed and defended Trump's campaign, presidency, and "faith".
These people have very bad ideas/judgement masked by very sneaky strategies. Many Seven Mountains-influenced creators/influencers/leaders are very good at masking their true goals until they get into a position where they can enact them.
This movement is insidious and dangerous, and if you want to know more about their strategy, I strongly recommend listening to the podcast miniseries Charismatic Revival Fury, which is one of the best podcast series I have ever listened to.

I m more inclined to side with the parents as not only did they allow their kids to go pursue their dreams in LA, they also allowed one of them to do their last year of high school online while staying with their sister in LA, that doesnt sound controlling. All those quick changes that occurred, especially the marriage and cutting off family members falls in that pattern of behaviour when a church sounds like its a cult.

Man I didn’t know the dancers I was watching were in this cult. They use crazy things to hook people on social media. Hitler would have loved social media, and it’s a great thing for cults and authoritarian groups. Who would think dancing would be some kind of religious cult. I know growing up in the Deep South many Christian church’s won’t even allow kids or people to do modern dancing. Or dancing period. When you say I’m way more than ok, when your family is just checking on you, then that’s a red flag. She was very nervous when she was doing that video. It’s awful we let cults operate in this nation. They really need to come up with laws because social media is gonna keep helping grow them.

    • @foxibot
      @foxibot 8 месяцев назад +5

@@mattgonzales774 well when they won’t you leave or do the things cults do, that gets in a criminal type situation. What I would like to see is laws addressing this, because we have hundreds, probably thousands of churches and synagogues and other religious places that don’t do that or stop you from having personal autonomy. Since a high demand religion or cult can have certain things they do, that infringe on your personal freeedoms, then we should have laws so when they go into that shady arena of trying to stop or blackmail someone with the personal information they have on them that a good lawyer and good law writer can make the legal language where it doesn’t tread on religious freedom.
Because so many of these cults do illegal or physical, sexual and emotional and spiritual damage to a person, they tell them not to take medication which causes death or immense physical harm, they have had people kill their family because they refuse to give them their prescribed psychiatric medicine like scientology and several other cults that don’t want you taking medicine or using new medical technology.
We hear all the time about some high demand church not give a baby medical help and then hold on to the dead body for days to try and raise it from the dead through their faith. Some cults will not give their loved one or child life saving blood transfusions. There is a lot we could change when it comes to harming people, stealing and robbing members or selling them things that are worthless and a grifting situation where they go broke and have huge credit card bills because the cult kept them in a room for 13 hours, and made them charge their cards to the max, and If they tried to leave they would get teamed up on and pressured and yelled at, until they broke them down. Many have committed suicide after the cult forces them to commit financial ruin.
There is also a huge issue with child abuse and child predators in high demand religions which is illegal and they will cover it up. If they are caught knowingly covering it up and not reporting it immediately we could have them charged and fined. And we should also make sure If we catch a religious organization doing illegal things and hiding abuse victims etc that they understand they may not be able to continue running that organization in the US. There are counties in Europe that don’t allow cults or high demand religions.

They will never get ready of it their wound have to get rid of themselves not going to happen. Besides their rumors that the government was in on James Town. He work with a lot of politicians just like a lot of church people do. Just to claim you tax exempt status you agreed as a church to have the government as your head which is written in the document. That why you see churches moving with the state. Having come from a similar situation (though not dance- that’s new!) I can say these issues are so complex and difficult to help a person out of because the coercion is so subtle: it won’t be said - don’t visit your family or don’t contact outsiders but several warnings of, they may discourage your path or misunderstand you are subtly applied. In fact in a psychologicaly twisted way, one may be told “it’s your choice” so they fully feel in control but aren’t. The longer one stays the more damage!
Tbh, her behavior, her change in looks, including marriage (most likely friendships too) all reek of occultic coercion - in fact it’s almost obvious to someone that knows or has been there.

The video the family made is the WORST way to deal with something like this. If you think a family member is involved with something like this, DON'T do what they did.
I know the video wasn't just for Miranda. I know it was for the viewers and educating them about the situation; but, a massive part is addressing their feelings and not just the facts. You'd be hard-pressed to say that they didn't want her to see or hear this. With that being said, here are some of my biggest issues with how they dealt with it:
Saying she's being "forced" to do something is only going to push her away. Cults usually don't hold a gun to your head and MAKE you do anything. She blocked/unfollowed them on her own. We don't know the inner workings, dynamics or issues she had with her family prior, and the bread and butter of predatory organizations like that is not just to isolate you and make you think that you're "getting away from toxic people", but exploit any insecurities or trauma you have. She definitely thinks it was her own choice to do that. By saying that she was forced or brainwashed, they're only going to prove her right and she'll push everyone farther away. On that same note, I HATE how the mom started crying about her "blocking grammy". Not only is that incredibly guilt trip-ie, it's probably going to piss her off and again solidify that she made the "right choice" to cut her family out of her life. I'm willing to bet money that she didn't do it to hurt them, or because she hates grammy, but that she did it to everyone in her family so that specifically her parents and sister couldn't use anyone to spy on her. Stuff like that breeds extreme paranoia, especially if they were confronting her about this before Miranda cut them out. (Also, a side thought about that: it's mentioned in the video that at one point when she wasn't talking to them very much that she stormed out of the room? I'd like to know more about that, because with the timeline that could be more enlightening to why she responded the way she did.)
Last thing: I do like that Melanie brought up to the viewers that they are all victims, her sister and every indoctrinated member of that content house. But, if Miranda were to watch this, that again is only going to make her deny anything like this harder. On top of that, the way Melanie brings up the fact that she started to see red flags when they both went to this place, tried to talk to her sister and then basically says "I told you so, everything bad that I said was going to happen did, Miranda" of COURSE is going to infuriate her. A huge way to not to be helpful when you want someone to leave a cult? Give them a big fat "I told you so" with stuff they don't even realize is bad.
My heart goes out to Miranda, and I do feel bad for the family but not only are they dealing with this all wrong, they're making it worse. The real victim here is Miranda. Stop making it about how much things she's are hurting you, or how wrong she is, or that she's "not making any of her own decisions". Try to reach out to her after giving her some space, don't be judgmental, be someone she can talk to and be there with open arms. The only way you can start to deprogram someone is to show them that what they're being told is wrong. Not by screaming it at them, but by letting them see it on their own through your support and lack of judgment.

They believe I met someone and suddenly changed, they have a very different perception of our family dynamic. I just wanted to point out that sometimes those behaviours make sense to someone protecting themselves (especially as in this case she said she was tired of being controlled/managed by her sister) and the family might perceive them as dangerous or unusual behaviour when it's someone protecting their peace and mental health. Enmeshment is real and it destroys families. Also while some in the family might experience the dynamic positively, that might not be the truth for all. All I wanted to point out is that a lot of her behaviour felt similar to what I am doing to escape my dysfunctional family, and that the way a family presents themselves might not truly reflect the internal dynamics.

They took whet her family was like and began telling her all the problems with it. They planted a seed of doubt and grew it, until she believed what they said wholeheartedly, because thats what her inner voice was saying. Cults dont say "dont talk to the people who love you", they say "you can go talk to them, but if you do, we will no longer talk to you and those that 'love you' don't care for you like we do." Its not about forcing her to do things, it about giving people the choice of freedom, but atop a tower without walls. I figure she might've had some issues with how she and her sister were working-from what I've seen in other comments her sister as the older one tended to take the lead on things, and as a younger sister myself I have gotten frustrated with my older twin sister whenever she takes the lead. It can build up over time that frustration since it feels like they're babying you/don't trust you, but that can be resolved by talking about it. It's not inherently terrible, just roles siblings sometimes fall into without realizing it. Miranda might've just not brought it up, and if this was the case they could've used those frustrations and warped them into something worse-just like how her husband commented on how her family was too close.

It's ironic that Britney Spears subscribed to their videos, not knowing the dancers were effectively forced to preform for profit, because she herself was forced into the very same. Both their stories go to show the entertainment industry is saturated with exploitation, and we can never know what goes on behind closed doors. Entertainers are so often abused in the name of money.

Since Britney Spears is controlled by a handler, I would be very concerned if she has any ties to Miranda. If someone like that is sharing your videos, you have to ask WHY.

I don't know... the family also seems very controlling and wanted her to come back for the money. The thing is coming from a controlling environment makes you more susceptible things like cults etc.

It's quite something to watch coercive control creep in, in almost-real time. This was a really intense watch that I didn't expect. It only takes a few weeks of pressure to really start messing with someone's head, particularly if they've gained financial control combined with a strict morality code. Anyone who thinks "this couldn't happen to ME!" is wrong, anyone could be susceptible since manipulators are looking for holes in your defenses and ways to profit from you.

When you grow up in a family that is basically a cult the member whom desires to get away will often join the military or a religious cult. By doing so they feel protection from the control the family has had over them. Just because Miranda's family is exposing 7M, doesn't mean Miranda didn't calculate her move away from the family into an organization that she could feel "at home" in.

Their videos show up all the time in my feed, Miranda, Vic, Aubrey, all them, and I’ve always loved it… they’re cute, amazing dancers, and pick great music... of course having no idea about the cult part.. I did wonder how they made enough money to be able to all live in a big ass fancy house like that… just goes to show things (especially on social media) aren’t always as they seem. Hopefully she really is happy and is free to go whenever, if she wants 🙏🏼

I think two things can be true at the same time. She might very well have gotten involved in a high demand group or cult and also used it as the chance to get away from her controlling family. Something about their video rubbed me SUPER wrong. I can’t describe it but the video her parents and sisters made set off the alarm bells in my head.

I agree. Something is off with the family. That video they made, makes me very uncomfortable. They NEVER had a disagreement or fought / argued? Seriously? And they’re all so so sickly close? And then one of the daughters goes no contact. This screams red flag to me of a controlling, coercive, abusive or narcissistic household. I’m not saying that what she got involved in isn’t a cult or concerning in its own right, but I feel like she fled one unhealthy situation only to sadly land in the arms of another. Obviously, this is just my impression, and I don’t know the reality of the whole thing, but there definitely seems like there’s more going on here.

I wondered who this group was and if there was a purpose to these videos that I somehow missed. So glad I found this video. It is very disappointing to learn these allegations. where there is smoke, there is almost always fire. I love Miranda and Derrick's numbers. I'm going to have to unfollow them. They all have such an amazing gift. I pray they are safe and truly can get out when and if they choose.
