I feel like it would make sense for vampires to be able to stop their aging process whenever they want. However, I also like to head canon that if they don't have a steady supply of blood, they'll start aging rapidly. Kinda like alucard in Hellsing.
Yes! I hate the "Remilia probably had to act grown up at a young age" narrative, BECAUSE ONE OF HER TITLES IS LITERALLY THE ETERNALLY YOUNG SCARLET MOON.
3:12 Flandre didn't lock herself up in the basement, she likes staying there. (because she can destroy anything so it isn't possible to keep her there forever. it means that she comes out when she wants to.)
I think the dialogue when she says she was asleep for 495 years could also just mean "I was resting for 495 years" not necessarily sleeping, or at least not necessarily sleeping all of the time. Either way she's been in that basement for a long time.
@@spirit-eye Wait, so do reimu have a 18+ body that's short, or....? I was so lost. I got a lewd reimu vid recommended to me, and I want to make sure that since it showed up (and more will likely to in my feed, since I watch touhou music vids [clarification the video was a music one with a lewd picture in the back ground of naked reimu] a lot) it was an underaged character.
It's unknown how they became vampires, but it would've been likely before Remilia reached the age of ten. It could've been that they were born vampires, or some accident or some other event caused them to become vampires, which stopped them from ageing. Personally, I've always considered Remilia to be approximately ten or under, but Flandre doesn't look to me as being significantly younger than Remilia, so I was under the impression that physically they were actually the same age --- that is, their ageing stopped at the same point in development, so Remilia is mentally and statistically older than Flandre, but not physically. Anyway, that's how I always interpreted it.
I bet the Scarlet devil mansion existed somewhere in Touhou 5 even though there was no glimpse of its appearance or the incident as Reimu was busy fighting Shinki and co in Makai. Of couse, that mansion wasn't in Makai but after Shinki lost to Reimu, everyone left Makai and departed to Gensokyo in hopes for safe residence. That's my 1st theory. My 2nd theory is that the mansion existed even before the very first game was out. It's possible that the mansion was somewhere in Makai before it got split or dilapidated. It would make sense since we saw Elis as a stage 15 boss in Makai route and Reimu beat her up. Elis was nowhere to be seen, no idea whatever happened to her after the events but it's possible that she gave her heirs (Remilia and Flandre) that mansion in case she couldn't look after it at later time. The mansion was still there in Touhou 4 even though there was no sign. Kurumi had to guard the mansion and Makai but got beaten up by Reimu so she couldn't take care of the duo after the events once more. Yumeko was also the one who had to secure the mansion before Sakuya appeared, both fight with knives after all yet the former can't manipulate the time. It's possible that the mansion was meant to be for Shinki as her precious home in Makai prior to the events but the mist wasn't a thing until Touhou 6 where the incident started. Spell cards weren't applied because such incidents weren't too lethal. However, things changed after Shinki vanished. It's unknown if she's still there or she got weakened and departed elsewhere to recover from the injuries, no ? Even though she's the Makai god, she still couldn't fulfill her wishes or even keep her promises to Reimu. Alice who used to be her apprentice while she was a human no longer follows her orders after becoming a youkai, that explains her comeback in windows era games. Yes Remilia and Flandre were still there prior to the incident but they didn't appear in any PC-98 games. After the disappearance of every PC-98 character (almost), everyone else forgot about the past and started beginning a new life as if nothing happened at all or as if PC-98 was never a thing. Excuse my poor wording, it can be difficult for me to explain certain theories but that's according to my knowledge after playing all Touhou games until 19.
Remilia is 12 and Flandre is 7 they are underage of Sakuya’s pedophile maiden she’s not 20 cause she is teenager was 16 years old and they are older than Reimu and Marisa having they battle against them happy ever after happening again.
It was still never specified that they grow at the rate of a human, maybe it took like 28 years (for example) for Remilia to have that appearance in age.

So in reality, she is a 7 year old forever?! I've been going off the assumption that she was well above 18

Yes! I finally found what I wanted to know
I still wonder how reimu and Marisa age since the start of the window’s series
I don’t know about their ages in Windows, but it seems like they start as Kids in SoEW and slowly age until they are probably adults by EoSD

I think Remilia was born 1502 and Flandre was born 1507 was only making part of the day suing her for text by usualy for the extra stage.
maybe it's just me but i always saw remilia as being around her early-mid teens and flandre as being 9 (in vampire terms)

I bet they became vampires via Elis and Kurumi if I'm not mistaken.

Vampires don’t age much, they’re bunking immortal.
She's really mature for her age 🙃
but does gensokyo time works the same way as earth time?
It's suppose to
