The flower broom thing that marisa has is a reference to SoEW,because in that game her broom had a large flower,i really like how ZUN make a reference to old PC_98 stuff that he created.also i really think ZUN's old art is kind cool and charming.altough zun created these pictures to see which dress suits reimu more.until we see her tobacco smoking picture that was her appearance in SG and then EoSD.

People always talk about how zun is bad at drawing people but they never talk about how good he is at backgrounds. I think zun is the first person ive seen who is good at backgrounds but struggles with people which is the opposite for most artists funnily enough.
I liked this, spotlighting some more obscure touhou-adjascent stuff. I might add some BG music to these - I think it'd help both keep the viewer engaged, but also just make the atmosphere a bit nicer. Maybe use some of the title/credits themes, since those tend to be a bit more easygoing? Keep up the good work =)
Thankyou, I have tried putting background music in my videos before but I could not get the music quiet enough to where you could still easily hear me, but I did figure it out on my newest video (What is Dolls in Pseudo Paradise?) and I used a remix from @StasGavrik, he makes really good ambient remixes of Touhou music.
I listened to Touhou songs long time ago but it wasn't until I started playing Touhou games this year. I was absolutely intrigued by PC-98 designs and windows era ones too. I hope PC-98 characters will come back with modern designs. While fan art exists, I still wanna see how ZUN will design them in Touhou 20.
Dunno why, but I'm always slightly unnerved by ZUN's Miscellaneous illustrations. Not saying His art style is bad, but most of His Miscellaneous art just feels uncanny or out of place compared to average ZUN Illustrations/sprite arts

I love ZUN's older art. It feels more "magical" if that makes sense, though it's probably nostalgia bias.

It's the shading, it felt more delicate and fairytale like. New style looks better anatomically but looks quitw bold with colors and shading.
Don't get me wrong, I love his art but yeah, I personally prefer the old art since they seem nostalgic.

I agree, it is a bit weird seeing illustrations from ZUN that aren't Touhou character portraits
