- Sakya County is located around 80km from Shigatse City. It was from here that the whole of Tibet was governed during the period of the Sakyapa hegemony from 1268 to 1365 and even now there are buildings of historic importance to be seen, which were spared the destruction of the cultural revolution. Sakya is also the name of one of the Tibetan Buddhist sects, the Sakya sect of Tibetan Buddhism.

Your video was very impressive. Unfortunately the music is too loud. It's difficult to understand what you say.
May the Dreams and Aspiration of Tibetans come True 😊
North side of monastery resembles Hindu & India temples in grey formation
How humbling it must be, to stand within a structure that has withstood the test of time, and to realize how finite our lives are in the face of so much history. The accomplishments of those people before there were modern mechanics and technology is beyond fathoming. I am in awe
Where does the Great Wall of china connect or cross paths with the monastery and conjoining temples
Looks like the quarries in Egypt
Very grateful for taking us to sacred Sakya, so much more than even the astonishing treasure of its library. I deeply appreciate all the history, right down to the paint colors that I wondered about. Thank you for braving the cold and many blessings.
I wonder about all of the materials and how they managed to build so much in such a remote and challenging location, especially without tools or vehicles
Great video ... Thank you .
Glad you liked it!
Imagine when Nalanda University got burned by Muslim invader it burned for 6 months , how much books it must be contained
Godless junk of wasteful monks. Good grace of Khilji whose ancestors were Buddhists themselves
Meat noodles in monastery!
Chinese is on the move to cut off the roots of Tibetan Buddhism in Tibet
I guess in coming days Tibetan in Tibet can't be associated with the Tibetan Buddhism and the very Tibetan that we know today.
Weal beef is a staple in Vajrayana and Theravada idi@t. Read Mahaparinibbana Sutta on how 😊😊😊Buddhu died of pork.
So the altitude and cold, nothing soil etc means not much grows in Tibet. They eat mainly barley ,yak butter. They have a practice for eating meat and they don’t eat much of it.
Best not to judge others .
