Ruben, good video, one word of caution, always before plugging into or unplugging the ems/surge protector or power cord to the electrical pedestal make sure the breakers are off. This will prevent what is called a (Arc Flash). By far the Hughes Power Watchdog with EPO is the best total electrical protection on the market today, hands down, from their quality of internal components used, replaceable Surge Module to their warranty.

The answer to the question, "should you use a surge protector?" The answer should have been a simple "YES, you should". If you can afford to purchase a camper, then you should be able to afford the means to protect that investment. It's no different than buying surge protectors for the expensive electronics in your home. Further more, that big glowing dog face is a "look at me, try and steal me" billboard for thieves. Cover it up except for the error code readout portion.

Thanks for pointing that out! Thanks for watching!
What prevents the 'arc flash' from happening when you turn the breaker on?
I wish you would have shown me how to secure it to the pedestal to prevent theft. I don't see leaving something that expensive just hanging there,.
