I am a fan of Judge Simpson. I feel that, despite your nervousness and anxiety being in court, if you make a good faith effort and are respectful and do what the Court orders, Judge Simpson will work with you. Being a first-time offender helps as well.

Cannot argue with you one bit. I'm so happy that man drove with a suspended license that never existed because it showed me amazing men and women like this exist. He and Judge Boyd are truly amazing and I'm glad we have people like that in the system. Gives me hope that we will be fine. I've never seen Judge Simpson go through this many emotions in one day, though. That part about "Who do you think would be able to help you in dismissing this case? I taught there so I know they are smarter than.... what you are representing now." The boss way the PD stepped up, spoke out (showing the PDs on duty in court pay attention throughout) and immediately gets everything she asked for on behalf of her newest client. I love how Judge Simpson is always ready to be lighthearted while remaining the consummate bench officer. Great set of clips, overall!

Gotta love this court….Judge is more than fantastic & Mr. Allen is definitely a boss….he and the other officer in there took care of the guy and Mr. Allen was making sure too that she was ok. No panic or anything like that….just smooth work. Love to watch him.

Yes my youngest tripped over the dog tie out on Dec 31st. My hubby kept saying he sprang it and that happens all the time in basketball. Said ice it foe 2 hours and it will be ok. After 2 hours I was like nope somethings not right. The kid was still in pain and the fing looked bigger. Went to urgent care and yes it was broken! Hubby was so shocked.
Boom and that’s how you run your courtroom massive respect Judge Simpson and your a gentleman showing compassion for the prosecutor that had to go through that and your right she has nothing to be embarrassed about

Mr. Allen and the other court officer remind me of livestock guardian dogs, moving in, protecting the flock from predators. There are a few moments where Mr. Allen appears to check on Ms. Hughes without making a fuss. Maybe that was part of her embarrassment, both having the defendant lunge at her and then all the attention after.
I don't know if the judge just has a really well adjusted outlook or if he's cracking up from dealing with the knuckle draggers that appear during some cases, all day, every day.
