    My wife and I would like for Lexus to enhance the Blind side feature. Currently, it only alerts the driver by a light on the outside rear view mirror. We need to add a beep sound.. We traded our Acura RDX in for our 2020 RX, and the RDX provided Audio and light Blindside alert.

    When you look at new Toyotas, Hondas, etc., the Lexus price becomes a very good value for the bump up in luxury, if that's something you're looking for. Also this uses regular gas which is nice in a luxury vehicle.

    Nice to see a truly honest review. I enjoyed the long version of this review and also your review of the 2017 RX. I was originally thinking of getting a 2017 CPO RX, but after watching your reviews and also test driving both the 2017 and the 2020, I have decided to go for the new one. I think the new one is worth the extra bucks in the long run. I will get a new RX next week, taking advantage of the $3K rebate now being offered. Thanks again for helping me to make my mind up.

  • @javierduran1390
    @javierduran1390 4 года назад +2

    I don't think this is the base RX. This model is pretty much loaded with options. You can tell by the larger infotainment, the triple beam Led headlights, the LED tail lights and the open pore wood interior trim. I want to say this is the Luxury trim but I am not quite sure.

      Exhaust Sports Auto I love my RX. It is such a sexy car to look at and I’m glad I got the Birch interior. I think it really makes the interior look modern. So I definitely think you were spot on with your reviews. It is a very comfortable ride, but you are right about when you do try to punch the gas. It’s like the engine isn’t as fast as your foot, so it takes a second before kicking into gear and accelerating. I don’t think the infotainment system is very intuitive and I don’t like that the phone has to be plugged in to use Apple car play. I would think it could just connect via Bluetooth. Last thing, I wish the placement of the track pad and the knob for changing the drive of the car (sport/eco) were switched. It’s hard to try to use the pad when driving bc it is so close to you. Overall I love my RX. It is a very comfortable ride and great SUV. I got a pretty good deal, so I can’t complain.

    According to KBB the top 7 Luxury SUV's are (1) Audi Q8, (2) BMW X5, (3) MBZ GLE, (4) Audi Q7, (5) Volvo XC 90, (6) Buick Enclave, (7) Lexus RX...Regarding the Lexus, I can get a 2020 Toyota Highlander XLE near me for $40K after a $3K discount! The Highlander has the same engine as the Lexus (which makes no sense), for $20K cheaper (go figure). I only wish that the Highlander offered a sport package like the Lexus' 'F' Sport.

      I recently reviewed the RX 450h F Sport! And in summary no, the F sport is not worth it nor is the hybrid. A regular RX 350 2020 with the ML audio and you're good to go!

      So one last little point about F sport for the 2020 RX. There are two different packages, F sport Appearance and F Sport Performance
      I tried the actual F sport Performance which gives you the Variable Gear Ratio Steering, the regular steering is perfect.
      And for those that just like the way the F sport looks, you can get the F sport Appearance so it'll look like an F sport but there won't be any mechanical changes. Plus I've noticed F sport Lexus cars retain some more value something to look into since you like the wheels!

    • @MeynMotorGroup
      @MeynMotorGroup  4 года назад +2

      Def test drive both I feel like you can be ok with the FWD because they did a good job with the chassis and suspension so I don't think the car will just peal out on you when turning.
      Awd just helps FWD based vehicles have more neutral handling characteristics but you certainly don't seem to need AWD for inclement weather purposes, just handling but try both hope this helps.

    • @randyt700
      @randyt700 4 года назад +1

    Hi Kevin. Thank you for making such a great review for RX 350. I am considering buying a CPO RX 350. Currently, the 2017 model has the best price. I remember that you mentioned the 2020 model has a much better ride quality than 2017 model. Is it the difference worth buying a more expensive new 2020 model? What about 2018 and 2019. Are they the same ride quality with 2017 or the same as 2017? Any suggestions? Thank you!

    • @MeynMotorGroup
      @MeynMotorGroup  4 года назад +1

      Hey thanks so much for stopping by my friend. 2017 CPO RX is a phenomenal choice of vehicle I know you will love it. I haven't driven an 18 or 19 but I'm assuming it is the same as a 17.
      If you drove a 2020 I think you will notice a difference but it's not earth shattering, the core of the vehicle remains the same so 2017 at the right price is great.
      I would just try and negotiate something on a 2020 see if there is one that has been sitting on a Lexus lot for a long time and is heavily discounted, use cargurus to find out.
      But if you can't work something reasonable on a 2020, no worries a CPO 2017 is excellent. Thanks again for asking a great question

    I have purchased my 2nd RX. First one was a 2020 RX350 FSport. Seats were a little hard, and ride was a little too stiff. Thats the only complaint. Just bought a 2021 RX350, with the luxury package and fully loaded. Much better!
    Ride, and drive is flawless. Love this one alot. Prior to the RXs, was driving LS460s. They killed that amazing car, for the LS500. Not impressed at all with it. Bad choice made by Lexus!!

    Base model? It looks like it has all the luxury features on that model except the wheels.

    Great review.. As you know I have a 2013 ES350 with only 36k miles now... Amazing car and best is the 3.5L V6 is bulletproof and only takes REGULAR gas, using the min. By min. Graph in the dash , gentle on the gas pedal I average 40+ on the highway... It’s so aerodynamic and low to the ground, definitely a wind cheater... It has Fluted plastic lens cover on the tail end for increased aerodynamics and maybe by the side mirrors too.
    This RX-350 looks amazing also... There is a reason why it surpassed the ES350 as the #1 seller for Lexus. The gas mileage will always suffer in a SUV, heavier, taller, wider and less wind resistant is going to give you poorer gas mileage. I owned a piece of SHIT BMW X5 for only 8 months and that was a PIG, I averaged about 12 mpg around city driving during those 8 months and it required Premium gas... Thank God i got rid of it for My ES350 !!

      Exhaust Sports Auto no problem! My pleasure. I thoroughly enjoy your car reviews ! Especially of the Lexus models ! You go into a lot of detail which I love. Very honest and simple. If you ever get a chance to review a C7 stingray I would love to see that That’s gonna be my retirement car in about four years, although I have seen probably every RUclips video on the C7 stingray ! Lol. Edited: I saw on your Instagram page , you did a C7 review, gonna watch now

      Exhaust Sports Auto yes my ES350 was a great decision! It’s an amazing car and by far the best I’ve ever owned. I’m 56 driving nearly 40 years and I’ve owned 20 cars in my lifetime ! LEXUS is the BEST !!

    If this engine had more torque then it would probably be faster in its 0-60 speed & it would feel faster off the line

    I acquired this identical vehicle down to color one month ago. This is the worst vehicle I have owned or driven. I have had other Lexus vehicles so I expected better. Customer Service at Lexus has disappeared entirely which makes the brand a very sorry purchase. My comments would be huge if I mentioned what is wrong with it. Can’t wait to return it. Navigation, can’t find an address. Climate Control, can’t cool down the car. Door locks, maybe they will lock or unlock. Rain sensing wipers work if you are in a hurricane but don’t expect them to come on otherwise. I could go on and on. Alexa...what a joke. She hasn’t awakened yet and she’s been on the job 32 days now. Truly, what a disaster. Thanks for listening.

      It’s well known Lexus has one of the worst Navigation, why not use CarPlay?
