- sharing my setting on how i get good shot underwater with my gopro hero 11 , note this setting can also apply to other GoPro such as 10 and below , but the only thing missing will be the 10bit color space option .

Great tutorial! Thanks!
Welcome mate
Grazie! Ottime informazioni sulle impostazioni per la videocamera GoPro!
Ti prego, in bocca al lupo con le tue attività
I find linear is nice to get close to a subject, although good to mix it up between that and the superview. 4k 60 for underwater. I will shoot 1080 30 for motovlogging but i think 1080 60 or 4k 60 may be a better bet. 4k 60 is so good because it works so well for everything then just swap between linear and hyperview with a few different presets.
For underwater i will highly recommend 60fps and above to slow things down, especially when u encounter turtles or rays , 30fps for vlogging is great so u are on track 🙌🏻
@@italianboyseychelles niceone cheers! Yea a German guy I met in indo I dived with said he uses 4k 60 all the time for diving. Seems to do the trick.
Nice job - good luck
It definitely is 😲
Thanks mate, moving houses will definitely share more , my go to accessories
Do you use Hypersmooth underwater? I tried it but it seemed to give very odd results - like the thing at the corners of the frame wobble
Good remark, didn’t talk about it, if u shooting in super wide or ultra wide I wouldn’t recommend it, because the wobble is very visible, but wide or liner I would leave it on.
Nice 👌🏻 video keep it up 🎉
Thank u, will do more video, currently moving house 🙌
4k
60fps
10bit on
bit rate: high
shutter: auto
sharpness: medium
color: natural
Ok 👌
And the angle? Wide? Or superview?
@@atpark22 my advice is use wide and liner
Superwide is just too much for my taste , as the further u are to the subject the smaller it will look
@@atpark22 i have used superview so far but realised that it is an overkill.. feels sometimes like it'd capturing similar to my naked eye peripheral vision. Can't focus on objects. try both..
@@atpark22 wide is the sweet spot for me, more than that the subject would look super far even if u really close
Hello. Thank you for sharing your settings. Is is possible to tell us more about your color grading workflow ? Thank you
Would definitely work on a video on that 🙌🏻
Thanks for the video. Do you use red filters?
Gopro 11 do a pretty good job in auto white balance, so I don’t use Red filter, i would recommend it if u going diving, but for regular snorkeling u definitely don’t need a red filter
Nice
Thanks mate
Do u use the underwater housing for snorkeling? And why you do or do not?
I certainly do use the dive housing even for snorkeling 🤿, in the past have flooded so many GoPro with out it, even when it was close properly, so learn the lesson and bought a 25$ diving case, never had a problem with since then. The only con is you’ll have to choose your settings before getting in the water, as u can’t touch the screen once u lock it, and u in the water
Ciao, grazie per il tuo video, ho appena comprato una hero 11 e tra 2 giorni parto per le Seychelles quindi cercavo le impostazioni giuste e il tuo video è perfetto! Magari ti chiedo qualche consiglio su dove fare snorkeling 😊
Ciao mandami un messaggio sul
Mio Instagram 👌
What about EV comp? A lot of people suggest - 0.5
If u want to color grade and u have it on a flat profile i would recommend +0.5 but if u want to use it straight out of what u film -0.5 .
But it also depends on what u filming, keep in mind what’s important to u highlights or shadows
-0.5 will slightly save your highlights but sacrificing your shadows, and the other way around if u have it one +0.5
Did you use the domo ?
Yes few of the shot i use a dome
What do you use for post production software
Davinci Resolve
Do you use a red filter underwater?
No I don’t use any filters, gopro Auto white balance do a surprisingly good job
I think it would be great if you did your videos like MR beast where you do it in your native tongue then VoiceOver or use captioning in English I speak Spanish so many of us in Mexico love video like that!
God Bless brother love the settings!!
Thanks mate
your B roll of the underwater was banging but bro....get better audio man. RODE wireless go 2 and a RODE lav mic man
Got the DJI version, audio will be better next time 👌. One step at a time. 🔥
Would be nice so see the ungraded footage es well.
Maybe I’ll make a comparison with graded & unguarded, but there is a example in the video while I talk about 10bit options
white balance on auto... why not 5500k?
I leave the white balance in auto because different depth have different light adjustments, having it set to 5500K and shoot in shallow water will end up ruin your shot, the camera do a pretty good job of setting up the WB ,remember u can’t touch the GoPro settings when u underwater.
however if i use my underwear case for my R5 where i have more control over it, will set my white balance depending on the depth
Lighting is key - so I am buying lights - to go down 150 feet - what fish is alive - 150 feet down in the ocean - good question - I will be only sending my lights and my GoPro camera - is it possible? Good question? Yes
Don’t forget to get a diving case for going that deep, i freedive and can go 20m , so i will leave the 40m to u 😂 . And yes light that deep is important
The menus on these things are so annoying to figure out how to even get to them.
Once u set them up, u don’t have to change to much, every time u use it
