Maybe you've already heard Adele's Skyfall song ? Quite successful. Earned her an Oscar. You should listen and react to Björk's song "Play dead". Even though it's not a Bond song, everyone that listens to it instantly finds it would have been a great Bond song !
This fits perfectly into the Bond franchise. The Living Daylights was the last Bond film that John Barry composed for. The score for The World is Not Enough was composed by David Arnold.
The only Garbage song I knew before you started this deep-dive. This is one of my favourite Bond tunes. You´ll come across another Bond song somewhere down the road, it was Madonna´s turn in 2002.
Love this track, a perfect merging of the Garbage sound and Bond theme tropes. Brilliant video too with an android Shirley Manson, ironic considering her appearance in the Sarah Connor Chronicles TV series as a Terminator
I knew this song but I don't think I knew it was by Garbage. 😲 It doesn’t sound like Garbage to me (haha). I miss the rockier feeling and the guitars. I agree, a great part of the input must have come from the Bond composers / producers. Not a bad one at all, but I don't think this is one of Bond's strongest Bond theme. There's some overall power missing for me. 🤷♀ Hahaha, mischievous Lucca almost knocked down your camera (3:58)! 😹 She wasn't too impressed with the song either, I guess (and you know I usually guess right. 😉). 😽

@@shelld1261 Hahaha, OMG, you're here! 😁 I thought of you when watching this and wondered if you would be curious, but I didn't think so. I even thought of telling you two things: first, I am almost sure you know this song (it's a Bond theme!, and it's not bad, I don't dislike it); second, it doesn't sound like Garbage to me, so I don't think you would see any connection to Savoy / Lauren. I don't have a list of favourites on the top of my head, but I think Stupid Girl is a good one to see what Garbage sounds like. 😉 I have no clue if you will like it, though. 😅 I will be curious to know, if you watch it. 😉
@@SofiaMarques18 So I just listened to "Stupid Girl" and then decided that it would be fair for me to go listen to a few other songs first before I would say anything. I did try, but unfortunately they aren't really doing anything for me. I don't think they are horrible or something, they are just kinda there. The lead singer's voice, be it not bad to me, is just kinda there. (I hope there aren't any serious fans with torches and pitchforks here. I am sorry if I offended anyone. It is just a personal opinion of mine. I do know it's not a fact. It's all good, I hope?) I can see the connection to Savoy for sure there though. I did listen to this Bond song too and I will say they did a great job of mixing their style in with a Bond twist. It is definitely a Bond song. There you go, I tried. I even tried 4-5 songs, so I really did try, I think.🙈😁
