I.T. Crowd never fails. Just the look on Jen's face when she sees Roy in a wheelchair and Moss behind the bar. Only could happen to this trio. All the best :)
"Not as long as some musicals." "Willie's, Willie's, I like Willie's..." "Its "I LOVE Willie's..." "What?" "I LOVE Willie's!" "Sir, can you keep it down?" The cut to Moss behind the bar, lol!
I have an electric recliner but it goes pretty slow so every time I have it recline or return upright, I look to my wife and say "I'm disabled" and she replies "acid?"
I'm physically disabled, and I was at my local pub one day when this insensitive lady asked: what happened to you? I promptly replied: acid?? It's my best comeback ever, which is perfect for strangers who ask me these stupid questions. It certainly left a puzzled look on her face.
Nice seeing another hilarious 😂 episode of the IT Crowd, which is one of my favourite British TV shows here in the UK! Thanks for sharing Megan & I hope you feel better soon!! 🙏❤️
Yep, it was Jay's dad from Inbetweeners. Also Laura Knightly, was played by Lydia Fox, Richard Ayoade's wife. And the bald gay guy with the moustache on the bus is Ash Atalla, the series producer.
This episode was my introduction to IT Crowd and I was hooked. I showed it to my husband and he was hooked. So funny. This and The Haunting of Bill Crouse are both favorites of mine.
S2E1 is one of the most perfect self contained half hours of comedy ever written. You don't need to know a thing about the show or the characters to enjoy it.
Every now and then a genius character comes along with the perfect actor. Moss/Richard Ayoade is one, Jim/Mark Heap in Friday Night Dinner is another. Such a shame that Graham Linehan, the creator of so many great comedies, was effectively cancelled and his wife left him because she couldn't handle the trolling he received because he happened to speak the facts about how things actually are
I think one of the cleverest bit of writing was that the "Heat" magazine joke at the end is what triggered the confession. It was set up at the beginning of the episode and paid off at the end. Can you imagine how hilarious it was to produce this musical for the episode ?
My favorite episode.. this and "The Dinner party" BTW.... if you have never seen "Coupling" you should check it out, i think it's the most well written sitcom made.. rarely gets any love...
Love this series so much. Want more classic Brit comedy ? - Blackadder - start on season 2 (season one has different writers and wildly different characters) - Rowan (Mr Bean) Atkinson as confidant to Queen Elisabeth I (Miranda Richardson) written by Ben Elton. Some of the funniest stuff you will ever see, and season 4 in WWI has some really strong emotional beats - The Green Wing - anarchic hospital full of zany characters. Pushes the envelope for "awkward" British humor
One of the best episodes. Great reaction. Yeah it's Jay's dad. This actor always plays the overweight, worker type. he's good at it. He was in the UK Office as the warehouse guy who is watching Lee's dog having coitus with another warehouse members dog. Among many other similar roles.
I've always got an old comedy on the go where I watch one or two episodes in the evening. Currently have Father Ted and Black Books on the go. This one is next - again.
If you haven't already seen it, please consider reacting to "Garth Marenghi's Darkplace". It's a cult classic British comedy series that has some actors you'll recognize from this show.
I've only ever encountered one "toilet guy". It was in a nightclub in Spain. He had bottles of aftershave and would let you have a couple of sprays if you gave him a euro. My best guess for the purpose of ones without aftershave is maybe they're acting as security? I'm only speculating but perhaps he's there to stop vandalism, drug use and/or dealers? It's possible that the one I met was doing the same and the aftershave was just a side-hustle... I'm not sure.
I'm not well myself Megan. Really bad cold. I'm wondering if I've caught it off you after watching your latest "League Of Gentlemen" upload. We've heard of these "computer viruses" eh ? 😜Get well soon Megan. X
That was a very fun show, although some of the jokes dont stand the test of times. Who makes gay jokes anymore? At least, some of the episode still works, like Moss revealed as bar tender. Perfect timing.
@@paulelroy6650 too real, not trippy enough. i'll confess i only watched a couple and couldn't get on with it. the first series of anything is usually lacking until the actors and script writers find their feet and get mistakes etc outta the way. moreover ending or last episodes of an idea suck too for the opposite reasons take red dwarf for example , man that got lamer and poorer towards the last few series' .
The IT Crowd, Father Ted and Black Books are amazing British comedy. Such a shame the creator turned out to be a garbage human being that even his wife and children were so disgusted with, they left him. When you learn about his political views, a lot of the stereotypes in this episode make so much sense.
That cut to Moss behind the bar is complete genius, and never fails to make me laugh
It really is genius! 😂
Plus, the lady who stars in the play is actually Richard Ayoade's (Moss) wife in real life! I'm not sure if they met here or were already married.
@@MeganRuthIn the PC/woke 2020s, such an episode would never be made.
@@Abcd-j9i Huh? What exactly about this episode is "non-woke" or "non-PC"?

One of the greatest episodes of any sitcoms… So many layers. Graham Linehan is a genius of the genre
He’s many other things too, sadly. 😐😕

My equal favourite IT Crowd episode, along with the German Cannibal one.
He was a fine young cannibal...
"Not as long as some musicals."
"Willie's, Willie's, I like Willie's..."
"Its "I LOVE Willie's..."
"What?"
"I LOVE Willie's!"
"Sir, can you keep it down?"
The cut to Moss behind the bar, lol!
"I'm disabled, leg disabled. Someone stole my wheelchair" i say these quotes a lot. 😂
😂 hilarious!
My friend who actually IS disabled has used the "I'M DISABLED" line before, when she was taking a long time in a public toilet
Acid!
I have an electric recliner but it goes pretty slow so every time I have it recline or return upright, I look to my wife and say "I'm disabled" and she replies "acid?"
I do a lot of long distance running and the next day regularly use the line... "Mi legs don't work!" 11:04
I'm physically disabled, and I was at my local pub one day when this insensitive lady asked: what happened to you? I promptly replied: acid??

Thanks Falcom! 😊
25 minutes of the most tightly scripted comedy I’ve seen in a long time.
Yep, it was Jay's dad from Inbetweeners. Also Laura Knightly, was played by Lydia Fox, Richard Ayoade's wife. And the bald gay guy with the moustache on the bus is Ash Atalla, the series producer.
Defo one of the top tier IT Crowd episodes
this and the Dinner Party are my favorite episodes
They clean the facilities, keep up supplies, will likely have other toiletries available if needed. They’re there for discrete assistance.
Hi Megan. I'm glad you loved that, it's great to see you really laughing out loud. It's a brilliant show.
😂 It really is!

this one of the funniest episodes of the show eve I was choking with laughter when I watched it first time lol
They had toilet guys in some of the clubs i went to years ago to stop people using or selling drugs in them.
ahh interesting!

This episode was brilliant.
One of my favorite shows. You should also check out Black Books and Coupling.

The 2nd greatest tv show of all time , I love this show so much … you’ll really like it ..
This bi guy appreciates the shout out! 👍
This is so true though, people act like disabled people are babies and go "how brave" and all that nonsense... They must constantly roll their eyes.
The Mighty Boosh!
The Actress Laura Knightly in the Play is Moss's real life wife Lynda Fox
Lydia, not Lynda. Richard's wife and sister of right wing mouthpiece (ringpiece) Lawrence Fox.
Nothing beats British comedy.
We haven't even got to the Matt Berry episodes yet
