His biggest mistake was not getting luocha or fuxuan and not making his Bailu as good as she could be
100% true, any support and dps can get you to kill enemy sooner or later, but first you need to survive until killing that enemy.
And build fire mc and lynx

he wants to show us viewers who are mostly f2p to learn from his mistakes and take it slow and focus on less characters
as he said he has 8 charatercs he built and is basically set for the most part and if a good character arrives he can easily pull for it to make his account better - slowly and steadily
I don't regret not pulling for Luocha because I wanted Blade and his LC so badly... but I will 100% pull for him on his rerun. I have Fu Xuan, so now not getting Luocha is even less of a regret and more of a.... sacrifice for a greater good (Blade.)
I think you could always "get by" with minimal characters/investment but you need to have fun along the way
He's finally found the sauce of sustain. Gepard, Fu Xuan, and Lynx are just insane sustainers even before they're maxed out with decent relics. Glad to see you finally getting what this game's all about!
I mean the game is easy tho i beat the abyss with just bunch of 4 stars fire mc fire himeko fire hook fire asta 2nd half ice yanqing ice pela ice herta ice march ez 30 stars
true, get sustainer first that are set to be used for 2 team if needed.. then can go all out for DPS, its that simple for 5head players to have a good account.
but the funny thing is, whenever I say this, there's always one guy be saying "i CaN dO tHiS wItH mY 4sTaRs tEaM", I mean ofcourse we can do that too lmao.. but its like "I can also climb up the stairs to Floor 80, but why would I waste my energy when I can just build an Elevator, much more easier and much more wiser" :) so the answer to that is, why would I use my free unit team and tryhard every single time when I can have all these 5 stars that would make my account rooster better lol.

@@BaschBarrageI've used march 7th to solo sustain against a double fight between the slam dunk gorilla and the sanctus medicus general. So much incoming damage in that fight that even bailu couldnt solo sustain even spamming skill every turn, let alone lynx. March however does it no problem. Do not underestimate the power of march's damage prevention, she can halve the amount of attacks you take with her freeze and block the other half with her shields. She's not even really sp negative thanks to how thick her shield is and how strong her freeze is, a lot of the time you just shield herself then basic attack, and repeat once your shield gets low. In terms of defensive power she is genuinely on par with gepard and in some fights even exceeds him, the only reason gepard is better is not needing to use sp.
so your biggest regret is not doing what you recommended other players to do. i.e. you farmed relics early instead of raising other units first. WEIRD

In my personal opinion all of the Hoyoverse and other gacha games I've played over the years have taught me one thing. Once you have everything you may ever think you need, the rest of the game is about fun factor and how new characters work. Not every new character may out DPS a previous DMG dealer, but they are sure as hell fun to use. Honkai Impact teaches this VERY early on as you progress through the game and start getting more and more battlesuits than you can count.

For example, I still this day have cleared Abyss in Genshin using National and some kind of Ayaka freeze team. I also built hyperbloom because I pulled Nahida when she debuted a year ago or so.
Focus on your supports.
For HSR I was using Seele/Yanqing but I ended up building a Kafka and now Fu Xuan. I don't see me having to pull anything else from now on.
I'm going all in for Jingliu because I love her animations. I have never topped up and I have been paying for the "welkin" monthly.
Yeah, I mostly play Star Rail because the story and lore is honestly incredibly interesting and compelling. If I ever stop having fun playing it, or run out of story and get burnt out on the daily grind, I just take a break for a while and come back to it later. It should always be about having fun, otherwise it's just an addiction. I just use characters I like or think are cool because I want to, not worrying about getting all the absolute best relics or pulling every new really powerful character. Hell, I'm still using March and Stelle in my main team at level 80 because I just think they're cool. My main team right now is Stelle, March, Silver Wolf, and Yanqing. I think I'm gonna pull for Topaz when she comes out because I like her vibe, and the trotters are adorable, but I don't really *need* to.
@@itsaUSBline I really love that. I mainly pull for character's ultimate animation these days. For me there's no better feeling than letting auto play run, and listening to music in the background just to see the beautiful animations
gepard is such a savior. I cannot be more thankful that I have him. My team never dies and he doesn't even need to use skill points. I am in the same situation as mtashed where I hyper invested in seele, jing yuan and my dps characters, but I never really got anywhere until I built gepard and luocha.
Im honestly surprised how often im hearing this story. I thought it was more apparent when we had such powerful abundance/preservation that those were going to be just as important as the DPS/Harmony/Nihility. Hell i mean i was using March constantly up until around August when i needed some sort of tank instead of a Hypercarry team. When everyone was pulling IL Dannyboi i was saving for Fu Xuan and Lynx
yea same for me solo sustain gepard is enough in my 1st team to beat moc stage 10
i just need an ER rope to have more uptime on his shield and i swap to spd boots too so that he can have more turns on building up energy and have luocha on my 2nd team as solo sustain
these 2 are great even without their signature lightcones but still ill get their signature lightcones in the future
too bad i didnt got lynx because i got a bunch of hooks but still gepard and luocha is just enough for me thats why i didnt pull fu xuan

@@user-qy9fl5en6h I'm using 4 PC def and 2 pc def on gepard and my gepard have energy issues at MOC stage 10 and even used tingyun ult to gepard just to keep the shield on everytime so I tried using SPD feet
And I still don't have the ER rope but I'll change it if I got an ER rope on the 2 pc def set
My gepard is fine in other content to be full def on stats
But at MOC 10 the shield can't keep the uptime and my gepard having hard time to build energy so I use tingyun ult and gepard skill just to keep the shield on everytime

I've been commenting on this guys videos for MONTHS that he shouldn't waste his resources hyper-investing into min/maxing artifacts for one or two characters. Levelling up characters is easy in this game, and having a good _team_ is so much more valuable than having one or two OP DPS characters
He finally figured out its all about the supports. Only took 6 months. =)

Every gacha game I've played I always make some rookie mistake that makes the game a slog for months. Going back and starting with the knowledge you have makes everything super smooth. if your in the start of a game's life cycle like now and you can spare the time and won't burn out. Starting over and applying the knowledge you now have could be a good idea since it can give you a massive leg up. I made quite a few mistakes in star rail. Not nearly as bad as M Tashed but enough that I am like 15% below optimal of what I could be if I started over with what I know now. I'm not going to because its not worth it to me, but definitely would change quite a few things.

@@ethanchin5621 yep, you should build those healers/tanks.. people got so used to action games where we can dodge, but in turn based you cant, HSR is turned based game. And the advantage you'll get after having good two Sustainers for your team(I have FuXuan/Gepard), next time you dont have to be in dilemma what to save your summoning pull for, since you got both Sustainers that is set for both of your team(ie MOC), now you can go all out on DPS banner. I think this is the most optimal way to play that most people dont want to admit because they already wasted most of their resources to summon every DPS on early game.
@@BaschBarrage True, for me it was using too many XP items for bad relics and for characters to get pulls but I realized pretty quickly that it was a mistake. I'm basically just a couple weeks of XP material farming to fix the problem but I am focusing on traces first basically.
Unlike Mtashed I am sitting on 50 fuel for when I reach max ascension that way I can just go relic hunting for a week when I can't get blues anymore and have a guaranteed gold you know.
Using twenty fuel early on is also a massive mistake I made but I digress.
Imho, Clara is actually the best dps that ignores element.
Shes my 2nd main dps. E0s5(herta shop).
Cleared moc 10 and mox 6 . As hyper dps.
Gepard,natasha,tinyung team with mediocre relics.
Clara just gets buffed every patch lmao. Lynx is crazy with her, Topaz will buff her as well. Plus Yukong is actually her best support if you can line the buff up for Clara. I can't wait to get her on my 300 wish selector.

Investing in supports and sustains now will do wonders in the long run.
DPS is easily replacable unless you're pulling for elemental coverage.
If you have SW, you can basically pull whoever you want DPS-wise.

100% agreed. Natasha was my sustain up until last week when i pulled Lynx.... and she definitely isn't gonna be benched on MoC either. Fu Xuan will probably be on my main team until the end of next year with how busted she is

Thank you for explaining this. I was really struggling to understand why it was so difficult for me to clear content and realised I was using your same genshin-like mentality of focusing on one hypercarry. I’ll try to save my account as you suggested. Have a good one💪
I just like building new characters and trying things out, but then I'm at the point where I can clear MOC 10 so fighting forever for slight relic improvements like I used to in Genshin doesn't feel worth it. That's one thing I finally learned when I quit genshin, is that burning a month in one domain for another 10% CD is just not worth the pain
As masochistic as it is, this is why I max out traces and levels for all my characters before ever farming for relics. It takes a lot of time, but once finished, I can fit characters into any team. I know my chars are getting guaranteed upgrades and can function well even with half-assed relics.
To balance this out, my incremental source for relics atm is from the Echo of War and Cavern of Corrosion daily quests.
This is where I'm at. Traces for the characters I use are almost where I want them, but the relics I use are copium. The problem is it takes SO LONG to level up your traces. Like, I want to farm relics, but when do I get a chance if I have to ascend characters, light cones, and level all the traces? Genshin only has three talents to level. Why'd they go nuts with all the traces?
This also applies for Genshin. Always farm for char, attack, and skill levels first before farming artifacts

I honestly did the same thing, focused on 1 dps unit but it worked for me, as I got blessed by relics early on so Seele did good damage and I could quickly move on to other units. As for now, my supports are at a point where they don't need further investment, and I the only useful thing I get out of spending trailblaze power is potential dps relic upgrades.
Preservation/Abundance = space paladin/cleric. Once you get those units maxed and 3 dps for coverage you'll be CRUISIN
My first 5 star was gepard and he reminded me of zhongli. Super good shield. After I got jingyuan, I made gepard and tingyun my most invested. Add Natasha, and I was running through content like nothing
I sacrificed all my relics lower than 5-star quality into the Stellaron Hunters(+Luocha) & it really helped me defeat the abund-eer more soundly also. So sticking with your preferred characters for stat building is net-worth it.
@4:50 is it actually more fun having all those extra passives? I enjoy a challenge far more in the Simulated Universe; some of those early attempts when I had very little of the ability tree done yet but still won were the most fun Simulated Universe attempts I ever went through. It being comfier is not necessarily more fun to me, but that’s just my opinion
I think about a month or two ago is when I decided to focus on just ten of my characters, I don't know exactly what I was doing to build characters before that, but now, in those ten characters, I've got everything I need.
Sometimes I may still run my unbuilt Sampo in a Kafka team though
I think his 1st account is still fixable, do the daily and save for sustain units for rerun of fuxuan or loucha.
I have zero regrets pulling for and investing into support characters first. Got Pela, Ting Yun, Welt, Luocha, Silver Wolf, Lynx, Yukong and Fu Xuan invested into. My dps units are DHIL, Susheng and Jing Yuan. So I have a pseudo imaginary team that ploughs through anything and either a psudo quantum or double quantum/lightning that does the same. I'm in the process of raising Asta and then I'll grind for better relics for my Jing Yuan. Basically not wishing this upcoming patch and unlikely in the next patch either. Then I should have enough to try for either Jing Yuan's LC or see what new characters come out that I like the look of 🤔
Your new account looks almost exactly like mine :) I just have Welt (and also Yanqing) instead of Gepard. I'd love to have Gepard for my Yanqing, but really, I am thinking to pull Jingliu, too.
its pretty interesting seeing how other people have progressed their account. i genuinely did not start farming relics until LT 66, the relics i got from weekly bosses and SU was good enough. i basically only leveled my first four characters, seele, natasha, fire mc and bronya. i had characters like gepard, welt, tingyun, and clara. i did not start investing into those other characters until late 67-68. i'm now almost TL 69 with 12 characters with good enough relics and traces.
basically my advice is not to tunnel vision on relics, even later into the game. leveling up another character, getting decent relics, and decent traces is better than weeks of relic farming for your main. spreading yourself too thin on too many characters is not a big issue, spending months on 1 characters relics is. at least recycle the trash gear into usable pieces for other characters.

@@frw3226i mean as long as you farm when you have guaranteed gold is good, but farming for purple relics is just not worth it even more beacouse you're not guaranteed to get good artifacts and you will always replace the purple ones, farming traces lvling characters and light cones is the best thing 'couse is just a one time thing you're not going to lvl up the same character twice neither their traces, it's always safe to do it unless that you lvl up characters that you're not going to use.
Mtashed finally played the actual game and remember there are alot of other characters to play with not just selee

Bailu is my first 5 star and i never regretted maxing her, even if i am not using her as much anymore. I even got her lightcone on gacha. Now i have Gepard, Lynx and Fu Xuan, not using Bailu anymore, but she have carried my account for months.
I'm using Bailu at the moment. Is lynx a big improvement?

Before saving everything for Kafka after getting Luocha, my only dps was Yanqing and Himeko as I only started playing during Luocha, I farmed bare minimum gear for them and that carried me until Kafka.
Even after accidently pulling an early Imbibitor, I crafted 2 imaginary pieces with what I had and that along with some musketeer pieces does a good job with average relics.
As a player that started on 1.3, I'm glad I didn't get baited to use tons of my resources on relic farming. I prioritized leveling characters and traces since these are guaranteed stats. Now that I have a Fu Xuan and Gepard to sustain 2 teams, I can slowly invest on limited 5* character DPS. Hook, Serval and Daniel 1.0 are enough damage to clear most of the content but only having damage sucks than having sustain with mediocre damage. Glad you're enjoying the game again tho!

I love my Geppie sm, I am focusing on lvl/traces/weapon for 8 characters rn so I can build 2 teams for MOC. it feels more rewarding to spend my "resin" on those 3 things instead of relics.
I still think hes coping for not pulling fu xuan on his main. lol.
good video new players definitely need to resist the temptation of grinding relics and investing into too many characters. its really tempting though! 😅
I get baited all the time. My adhd brain can't help it. I tend to find a unit I love but I have no resources to build them. Then I slowly try to build them up while I still have my support units with half assed builds waiting for me to fix them.
I did this with Luka. I really really want him as a main dps but he needs some good investment to be strong enough for that. E4 also helps him ALOT. Build him all attack and break effect and he can output loads of dmg on bleeds.
Long story short I got his talents to lvl 6 and him to lvl 60 before Topaz was announced and since I main Jing Yuan I am really really wanting to pull her to skyrocket his dmg.
I'll just say that I don't regret all the energy I spent on relic farming for seele even when i could only get 4* relics lmao. she made all the content in the game so easy. only at tl 65 that I started to feel the need for other characters to be decent as well
And it was not seele , I just spend a little and yanqing carried me fine , just by making a single team and not just doing him. ( i did not farm for purple relics).
So yeah , its copium that you got carried just because of her , it could had been any other dps builded.

With +5 relics and 3-5 traces on sups you can do content until 60-65 without problems.
I'm saying this because until 60ish the only character that had 12+ relics was my yanqing.
My first newbie 5* was Gepard...... when I tossed him with Natasha I felt the same way. I took my jades and got a Seele. They carried the team in everything while I was leveling and I was able to save all my resources until I hit whatever the TL level is when you can get 5* relics (i think TL 40? or 50?). Then I got choosy and leveled select characters to have a second team for the halls. Fu Xuan is pretty much the same thing but better.
Your other account was fine, you just needed to invest more into bailu and she can solo sustain swarm 5 and moc

Bro that’s what I’ve been thinking. It is also funny how he keeps on making it seem like his main account is unfixable and unplayable, because he doesn’t have Fu Xuan. Man just needs to learn how to play build better teams and characters, and not just unga bunga everything.

I'm also running a second account now, and it is basically your second minus the Seele but with SW, and I also feel like I might be able to clear everything.
I dunno if i could give up my Dan Heng IL for a Fu Xuan like you did.., he shreds in swarm disaster but i also have Gepard. And managed to pick up a copy of Fu Xuan.
But i couldn't imagine not having Dan Heng IL, he is just to good.
I do have Seele but i find her boring and the fact she has to 1 tap stuff to get buffs from knocking stuff out is annoying when things become so tanky with end game content i find Jing yuan and Dan Heng IL does way better than Seele . I have also maxed all stars in forgotten hall with Jing Yuan E0 R0 LC and Dan Heng IL E0 R0 LC so they clutch alot of content for me.

One of the best advices that can be given in this game is to build 1 champ at a time. Which one do you build? The one you need most to progress in MOC or Swarm Disaster...is what gives the most benefit across the future game. Also supports Supports... You must have supports... Even if it's just to make your DPS carry HIT HARD. You need supports. But the way Swarm Disaster and MOC CAN be you need to have some actual supports built and built well.
You can beat Swarm with Supports only and I FULLY agree with what you said. Build one at a time. I'd suggest at the start to focus on build Dan Heng, then Natasha, then Fire MC, then Yu Kong as these are F2P and they work well together and will clear MoC easily. With a single well built team you can then move onto other teams.
I myself fell into the hole of e6ing Nat and Hook bc they were my favorite characters. Now I got e2 Seele that I don't really use so I wasted resources on her to see if she was good.. sigh
I spent too many resources on multiple characters, it was purely out of liking a character or testing team synergies but that was a big waste. Luckily I don't need any units and have my teams built already so I can spend the next few updates farming resources since I won't be summoning for a while because I'm waiting for Blade's rerun. I highly recommend people invest into supports like Pela and Tingyun before investing heavily on DPS characters or perfect gear. You can even play on a second account where you can test out characters before you invest in them on your main account.
I was lucky to get my gepard in fbe beginner banner who carried me in early game and i got himeko , kafka E1 Imbdan heng, Fu Xuan all in less then 50 pulls , but i came to the exact opposite feeling aa you did once i had my 1 and 2 teams super solid and played them thru most content, i now want to expand the characters and expierement and have some fun, i can always go back to my gepard, imbdan, yukong, lynx team or my kafka , sampo/now more luka, hook , Fu Xuan team but i like testing the watera like right now i got Clara for my 300 free pull and im trying out a follow up team , buildimg my march 7 who i never even touched until now since i got gepard so early , i even made a meme version with himeko and herta lol
I guess that your case is just over investment on your dpses is a very common thing I've seen it so many times in genshin, bit the difference is that in genshin you can dodge and literally be inmortal, in this game if the enemy attacks you have to tank it so of course you will have to build your supports with more defense have a good investment on you healers/tanks so that the can survive and your supports don't die.

I somehow ignored relic farming for so long that I have prob 15 units that are 71+, with most talents upgraded and their lightcone on 80, having a lot of options to use feels a lot better then " hmm I have to use this unit because I used 2 months worth of resin on this unit and have no other options". Their artefacts are not that good most of the time (they usually have enough stats to trigger the SU gears second effect) but everyone does their job really well.
I feel you on supports, my healers suck flat out bad lol. After Fu Xuan is done I'm building my healers and supports, Mainly healer, lynx and nat need to be built right.
Fu Xuan should be done in a few days.

This is why I’m deciding that gacha isn’t for me , at least hoyoverse isn’t because what’s the point of having all these characters available if you can’t level and gear them . The only reason I wanna play is to use all the different characters, that’s the appeal for me so I haven’t played consistently because there’s no incentive for me .

Advanced tip: GET all the damage units for all elemental coverage. From Quantum to imaginary. just 1 5* DPS on each.
Then focus on pulling on supports/sustain if you think you're good with that you can start pulling for Waifu's or former characters you wanted before in refund.
That's what I'm currently doing and just doing fine.. though I got a Jingyuan from a spook while trying to get tingyun back then lol. but hes pretty fun to use. it's like having a timer and waiting for lighting lord to serve my starbucks.
Also pro tip : SUPPORTS outweights any 5* DPS since all 5* dps's are meant to get powercrept. but having a 5* to tackle a specific element is going to be important when they start adding boss that are only weak to 1 type of element. and none other else. (Ergo mobs that are immune to silverwolf Debuff).
Since currently right now even 4* Dps' like Physical Trailblazer can deal pretty good damage with proper support.

I pulled on the HouHou banner because I thought I needed her (I have bailu anyway so I was dumb) but the sub characters was crap and now that I see leaks that blade is coming in 1.6, I atleast have 55 pity now
So I guess a blessing in disguise
When you have the basis of your team. You then can add any DPS and it works.
Yeah. Gepard completely changed my account. And now that I have Fu Xuan, I have quality sustain for another team, along with Lynx. My two DPS right now are Kafka and Clara, so I'm looking to add Jingliu. Overall, very happy with the sustain on my account and I'm finally climbing in the Memory of Chaos. Svarog unga bunga.

Jinglu is not bad but if you want to buff your Clara even more probably topaz will be better for you, and since you have Kafka you can use guinaifen as well.

Come to think of it, the one that carried my acc was Caelus, our fire mc boi. Natasha couldn't sustain all by herself. Caelus didn't only prevent everyone from dying but lashed out damage as well. Wouldn't have come so far without him. Shame that I don't use him much anymore, but he's maxed out and built properly. I was able to use him as solo sustain in Pure Fiction tho! Oh, and since I always use him in story quests, I didn't have problems with the bug or Argenti lol.
When I started my account, my first 5 star was Bailu, and what I did in the start was focus everything on her, cause I knew what would happen with me if I din't level up my healer, so even after I got Seele, the idea was to max her before anyone else. Now I got Seele c1, Jing Yuan, IL Dan, Silver Wolf, Welt c1, Himeko, Gepard, Clara and Bailu, and each other character in my account is level 70, alreas ascended to 80, and even with that, my 8 main Characters have their passives Maxed, and now I'm just relic farming, for them, without a single problem, all of that without putting a single penny in the game, just by having luck and managing resourses.
So I need to build my tanks and healers up some more, I took a few months off and came back to see they added a reserve of the Trailblazer Power so I went ham and got resources for powering up my neglected characters, my Seele is a monster already so I'm focusing on Natasha as she's my only healer atm and just got Fu Xuan so I'll probably power her up to be my tank
You didn’t get any Lynx copies pulling for Fu Xuan? I think Lynx just outright powercrept Natasha.

as someone who doesn’t have gepard , bronya & yanqing , fu xuan is such a life saver & yes I got every other limited other than blade & kafka
The way I went with my account was:
3 dps (Seele, DH and Yanqing: Seele and Yanqing being my units with the highest damage, DH due to how valuable wind element was in MoC),
4 buffer or debuffer (Asta Pela Tingyun SW: Imo a proper team should be 1 dps, 2 buff/debuff, 1 sustain)
2 sustain (Gepard Bailu: I think one of the two is swapable with Natasha, but she requiers even more investement).
Then I also somewhat invested into March and Natasha to have cleans (I often went for March over Natasha as she deals more damage and both Gepard and Bailu can solo sustain MoC10 with proper investement).
I stopped pulling after getting SW and managed to 30 star MoC for the first time in 1.1 last rotation.
SW was arguably the most valuable unit of my account in the early game for elemental coverage (now I have other DPS built so it is less impactfull). It also wouldn't have been possible without 2 solo sustains.
This is what my genshin account was like. I had Xiao, Bennet, Lumine, and Beidou, all lvl 70s (back when Izumua was still new). My account didn’t link however so when my computer reset, it got deleted.
Its what I also noticed on my acc lol, most of my characters are half assed, only like my kafka and SW are pretty well built, nothing crazy but yea id say they got pretty good builds/investment. all my supports have on artifacts that are the bare minimum lol, I grinded for the artifacts they needed a couple times, slapped it on them and i moved on to the next

I just stacked my seele and put hp relics at level 3-6 on my supports and never had an issue until I started pushing lol
I started 1 month ago as f2p, and on my first limited pity I lost to Yanqing, but it turned out to be a double 5* so I got fu xuan as well. So now I have fu xuan lynx yanqing tingyun and a bunch of other non-leveled units. However I am trying really hard to collect for jingliu since I desperatly need destruction dps... yanqing is cool and all, but if I do not get the blessing for ice cleave, I have 0 aoe dmg. It is just pain... So far 21 pity and 16k jade. I hope I manage to squeeze her 😊😊
There is no resource scarcity. Nearly all my charcters are 70. Whereas my Main DPS & supports are 80
I mean i get your regrets, now i think that if you put some time on your main account the problems that have are Easley fixable it's just a matter of time it probably won't take you too much time meaby like month or something like that, for example at this point I've learned that I'd rather my supports to stay alive than giving me the most amount of damage, for example i don't need my pela to do damage and give crit rate crit damage, it just gave i good amount of effect hit rate energy rope but besides that i gave her a bunch of hp and defense so that she can tank the damage and thanks to that my supports don't die, another example: i don't need my tighnyun to do damage she just needs to buff and tank, a gave her as much attack as i can and besides that i gave her defense and hp, that how tou should build you supports in this types of games, you don't need your supports to do damage that the dps's job not the support's job their is to buff my dps, i don't need my bronya to do damage, I just gave her a defense orb 'couse i don't need wind damage, she just needs crit damage bisides that just gave her hp and defense, it's just the same over and over again.
Welt has a unique niche but it's only good for stalling and not so good for tough time limited content.
I pulled welt on the standard on my alt and was so sad lol.. I was really hoping for a bronya or Clara or even some of the 5* LCs 😅
When you don't have a tank other than the MC aka Gepard/Fu Xuan you feel it in certain content with this game. I 100% needed to build my Welt because if you don't have tanks you NEEEEED crowd control so that they don't attack. If you have a tank you're golden. Right now I'm still using March as an effect hit rate bot for freezing CC and Welt. My healers are Bailu and Luocha so I'm doing ok in that department... but I still want a tank.
If your characters are build correctly you only need one sustain for each team
Geppy/FX/Luocha can solo sustain a team, you don't need to pair tank and healer to make it work
I built seele as well but focused on my supports and healers first in my main account. I can easily clear world 7 without any dead characters.
Imagine playing a never ending game with 4 characters 🤡
In my opinion it doesn't matter if you max all the characters, you have infinite resources but just takes time to get them. If you are patient enough and don't take the game too seriously then nothing is a waste.

Right now I’m trying to get Bronya. I already have RM, but I want to run really strong teams. Then I want to focus on dps characters so I can do aoe. I have Bailu e1 and Gepard.
I still am very thankful i got Bailu as my first 5 star unit and she save my a hole multiple times before i got Seele plus the first 5 star lightcone i got is also Bailu and i still use her as she save me like 95% of all battles. Now i have Fu Xuan so my Bailu can rest a little because she mainly need to heal Fu when she is at low health.
you may want to slow down a bit and wait for the PS5 players. guide them.
It's because unloke genshin where you can dodge in this game you have to take damage so sustains are more important than dps cuz e en if slowly, you can clear content if you have an okay dps
I have a system that really makes me feel satisfied with resin use. I apply the following steps to a full team I want to use;
All level 70 -> All LC level 60 -> All most used skill traces to Lv 6 -> equipall with either 5 OR 4* relics, only looking for the main stat and not caring about subs or set bonus, then get those relics to Lv 9 (chest/boots/planar) or Lv 12 (hat/gloves).
Once that's done, the whole team is basically usable as is and didn't take that much resin to do so, and then I just go through each unit one at a time and slowly upgrade them. Get their LC higher, traces higher, take them to level 75/80 if traces need it, make sure their relics are all level 12.
Only then do I grind relics for real, replacing 4stars with 5stars with necessary main stats, then looking for good substats and taking them to 15. Then finally, trying to fine tune stats to hit the final statline I want.
If there is one thing I truly want the devs to implement, it's the reset system. I mean, resetting the stats so you can regain all of the resources you spent on them.

My main account is essentially bricked until a Loucha rerun or Hou Hou, despite having literally every other good character in the game i missed the 50/50 on both him and Fu xuan and i havent gotten gepard or Bailu. fortunately i started another account and it's everything this one isn't, for a long time anyway.
I kind of have the same team but not the best of relics. I don't think you'll be able to 3 star the last level in MOC but it'll be awesome if you can prove me wrong
I am tempted to skip Jing Liu and Topaz and focus on some supports like Pela and Asta waiting for the next banners.

I hope I didn't screw myself by getting a couple of characters in a row (with luck, despite never winning 50/50). Because the act of farming resources is still a PITA. Feels like my relics are all trash and I can't get enough trace material.

Fu Xuan is a ridiculous character.
Failed at 50/50 but raced through enough content to finally get her yesterday.
With some leveling and the Herta's store weapon she is so unkillable. Finally started doing Echo of War at lvl76 (I think the second highest) and had no problems. Previously with traveler + Natasha I barely scraped by the lower difficulty.

I began the relic farming at lvl 66 and i'm almost lvl 69. I only did traces and LC before that. I can say as a F2P player that relics aren't that important as soon as you got good main stats and some level on them.
the standard 5* are not necessary whatsoever for clearing content, but i wanted to play around my welt because i like his playstyle a lot, pairing him with sushang is such a blast. Could i play the same playstyle without him, HELL NO in no universe the enemy can be stuck eternally in broken state without welt on my account. I really don't like the hypercarry playstyle tbh so that's pretty much why i don't "like" playing with tingyun she's here just buffing and doing nothing else, while my welt enables my sushang to use en blade stance way more often. I like active synergy :D
But i'm still playing with [slot this unit in any team it will be good] character like pela and guinaifen (yuuup 21% damage taken debuff is kinda pleasant to play around :D)

what to do next, off meta strategies, you have the foundation built now you can mess around and have fun with odd team comps, the entire point of saving resources early on is so you can use them later to experiment with off meta units.
